Wow. This had suddenly gotten really boring. The cat creature suddenly froze in place and Lilith wondered if she was mentally stable. The succubus waved her hand in front of Luna's face. When she received no response Lilith sighed and turned away. Kumori had made his departure, leaving Din the monster with Lilith. She really wasn't feeling like training a bunch of nuggets in the fine arts of killing people, so instead she left without a word, embarking on her own adventure.

Luna Moon

User Image

Luna ended up becoming lost in thought as the kid trailed on and on about how he was some prince or something like that. It didn't really concern her much. She couldn't ever care for people with money, due to how she had been treated as a child. Something she didn't wish to go further into. So while he went on, she just seemed to shut down. Part of it was because she was bored of his diatribe about how great he was, the other part was due to how much she had actually had to drink. Luna didn't really take into account the effects of booze on her system, which left her almost frozen in place. It was an odd feeling to say the least.

By the time she had shaken free from the effects of the booze, she had noticed that everyone had left, leaving her alone again. She didn't seem to be too bothered by it. Matter of fact, she simply stood up and stretched her arms above her head before stretching out her legs as well. "Ah Nocturne, your just the same as I remember. That includes the people. Nice to see that some things don't chance." Luna turned to the ground and unleashed a claw, drawing a quick picture of her in it with the words, "Nice to see you all again, catch ya later! By the way, I'm taking your bored friend with me!"

After this, she picked up her remaining bottles of booze and decided to head for warmer weather. She could use some time to relax until something interesting came her way. It's not like she'd be too hard to find. She looked to Din and grabbed his hand. "Come with me you little sour puss! It's time to put a smile on your face!" Luna said as she dragged Din out.

As the excitement of the fort finally died down, a skeletal figure emerged from the darkness. He wore only a cloak over his zombified, mostly skeletal frame, and had a hood and mask on over his head and face. He seemed to be floating across the ground, green light shining from his eyes and his cloak swaying almost as if nothing was inside of it. He was uncaring about most of the thread now, anyone who could see him would feel his power and how uncomfortable they should feel. He held out a hand and his staff, metal with a green orb at the top, seemingly appeared from nowhere. In the eons since his death his body had forgotten the way to do most of his skills, so he had to begin training anew, as he had such a long time ago. Soon... soon everything would know his power, but until then he had naught but to practice the magics of old.

To begin the lich would start with the basics. He pointed a skeletal, rotting finger at a blade about 8 feet away. Red and green energy gathered around it, brightly so, and it was ripped from it's stand and tossed across the room. He inwardly laughed as a trainee was startled by the seemingly random occurance, and the Lich moved on.

He then focused energy in the staff, and his free hand, using two spells at once. Seemingly from his will alone the orb lit up and a projection of a giant hellhound appeared, and began to run around the facility, avoiding potential conduct but still somehow able to make sounds as if it were real. This simple trick was a combination of the Ghost Sounds and Projection skills. As it faded he sighed and moved on to more useful skills.'

He stabbed his staff into the ground and mumbled something under his breath quietly. A circle appeared around him, green and with ancient runes written in a forgotten language. The circle lit up and a small, arcane barrier erected all around him. Lower ranked techniques would be wholly unable to get through it at all.

From there, he charged a bolt of energy in his hand. This bolt took the shape of an orb and solidified as he exerted his control over it. He took no time at all taking the bolt and slamming it straight down. A wave of small, spikey energy shot out and impaled a few dummies in the fort, knocking them to the ground after having rended them completely open. It was then that Kaltessa, one of the teachers wandered over and began talking to him. "Would you like help training?" she asked him. He nodded, choosing not to speak to the beautiful woman. He cared not for her looks, because she was alive and he wasn't. However, upon her death he would look into bringing this beauty back.

So he moved aside and only made slight comments as he trained up his skills. He manipulated his energy to afflict the senses of anyone near, and created a wall between himself and them. He was satisfied with that, and so moved on to the next technique.

He watched a pair of boys training there hand to hand skills and he adn Kaltessa both decided to use them as training dummies. He focused his magic on one of the boys and she directed him on what to do. The refresher was certainly helpful, as he afflicted the boy with speed using Haste. He then turned his attention on the other one and focused his power directly on him, weighing him down and causing him to become much slower than he had been mere seconds before.

Done with supporting for the moment, he held out his staff and red and green energy circled around the staff. He targeted a dummy and let loose the bolt. The blade impaled the mannequin and it fell to the floor, bleeding out all over the place with it's stuffing. This pleased the Lich.

Following that he focused his energy on the end of the staff yet again and aimed at the other side of the fort. He released a steam of this energy and it flew true, impacting the wall and exploding.

With this kind of progress he kenw exactly what three spells he could simoultaneously work on with the woman's directive. She held out her arms, motioning for the Lich to practice on her. He channeled energy into those arms and focused on a different ability in each hand. One on side she would feel as if she was being tazed. On the other, a basic burn would appear. She moaned in a mix of pleasure in pain, which he ignored, and then switched both hands into a cold energy that would null out the pain of both attacks.

She then directed him to what should be the limit of his power at that moment. He followed instructions and drew two large circles in the air as she set up a bunch of dummies. He jabbed his hands into both of those as she claered the way and suddenly a large wave of about twenty c ranked blades of energy flew forth, decimating the thirty or so mannequins that once stood there. He was satisfied with that and asked to move into Lich skills next.

He held out a hand, and just to demonstrate his power, he fired a stream of green liquid at a wall. Within a few seconds, the Ectoplasm had completely eroded the wall away completely. This was but a small taste of his potential power. The power of the Lich.

Next, with Katlessa watching and giving her pointers he would put up a cloak of energy around his body. This cloak would effectively make him only detectable by those who could either hear him or see his energy. Even Katlessa had to focus to no where he was as until he faded back into view.

Now the skill he could be taught by her was the tyran blast, which was similar in concept to a few skills he'd already learned. He focused energy into a ball in front of his hand and sent if forth, blowing up a group of dummies and leaving a small albeit impressive crater in the ground. As Katlessa walked away, he narrowed his eyes and then placed his staff on his back. He couldn't wait until she was dead... untill then he would need to find a necromancer to teach him this new craft. And then there would be his elemental abilities.

So it looks like Lilith was indeed coming back to train some nuggets. But this time she had an ulterior motive. The succubus was on the hunt for some missions so she could become an Expert and some cannon fodder would serve her purposes well. She had been about to take Din along for the ride, the wretched little monster was perfect for tasks like that. But Lilith had been too slow, someone already scooped up that creature. When she walked back inside the CAZ and only saw some ghastly looking Lich, Lilith scowled. She rearranged her face into a more pleasing appearance, her usual sexified expression now set in place. It wasn't like she was going to try and seduce the undead; Lilith doubted it even had a d**k to use anymore. "Hey, tall, pale, and dead. I'm recruiting you for a mission. But first, are you useful? Tell me what you know. But I'm going to take a wild guess and say you're a necromancer. I know a thing or two about that." Lilith procured the knock-off necronomicon and tossed it at the Lich. As she sauntered over to Gremmy her heeled boots clicked sharply against the wood of the floor. She would give no hints as to what she was. As far as Gremmy would know Lilith could just be another human, or something close enough. "Since there's a chance you may actually die and be laid to rest ths time around, I suppose I should do you the courtesy of giving you my name. Lilith Odam. And you?" The succubus asked with a hint of uncaring. Lilith only enjoyed creatures and beings who were worth her time, and as of right now Gremmy served the purpose of a distraction. If the Lich proved himself useful then maybe the woman would stop acting like a b***h to him. Maybe.

When he was hailed by a woman it seemed preordained by those up above. Though, the way she addressed him put him off a bit. He turned his head first, almost too far, and his body followed. He narrowed his eyes by making the light in the socket dim to a line and a bit of green smoke escaped into the air. He was surprised with how she attempted to guess at his power, and opened his eyes fully before speaking, his voice ominous and omnipresent like a powerful ghost. "I am a mage first, and a necromancer by greater design. Lord Catherine saw fit to put that power within me. However, I know none of the associated skills." As he spoke he pointed at the book and it floated open before him, the pages flipping open as he skimmed each one quickly. "I am known to the world of the Living as Gremmy, and trust that there is nothing of this world is strong enough to lay me to rest. Or kill me." He asked her flatly the next question, his voice less imposing and more inquisitive. "I will go with you, but I must request you teach me first. I must learn the way of the dead callers. I must learn to call Catherine's children, my siblings."

Lilith wasn't really put off by the lich. She herself had been a necromancer for awhile, delving into the dark arts and even crafting her own undead. Then, in the blink of an eye the succubus had grown bored with what had already died. She switched her focus to the arcane arts and decided to master it all. Hearing that Gremmy was both a mage and necromancer made Lilith feel like this training session would be as smooth as her a**. "Well Gremmy, I'm sure someone as capable as you are can read. So go ahead and take a crack at the necromancer spells. You won't be able to craft any undead here, but I know a place where you can find a good selection of freshly dead." Liltih said, accompanied by a wave of her hand. She would watch over the lich carefully and correct him where he went wrong. With her oversight Gremmy would be able to fly through these spells. As the lich trained Lilith thought upon his devotion to Catherine. She was the original necromancer, the Queen of the Damned. It made sense that an undead minion maker worshipped her. Just like it made sense that Lilith revered Lukhan. He was everything she exemplified in her daily actions; pleasure and pain. Today, it was pleasure. The pain would come later once Gremmy learned what he needed to know to be of use.

As the girl spoke he had already begun to read over the words in the book. His eyes began to glow brighter as secrets he hadn't been aware of flooded into his mind. He seemed to be activated by this and allowed the book to hover beside his head. He focused his energy on a point in front of his ghastly body and pointed at it. Nigh instantly, a black and green portal opened and an arm shot up, pulling the rest of the decaying body out. A dead swordsman, old and rotten, now stood before him. He looked at it with deviant glee. His first fully formed undead... He grabbed it's neck and looked it over. It moaned a bit and turned to a mannequin, slicing and cutting at it with an almost living level of mastery. "The dead... feel no pain." As he said this, the zombie seemed to rage and go even more ham on the set of mannequins before it. Even as Gremmy blasted it with a bolt of energy that knocked off one of it's arms, the deceased swordsman went on slashing as commanded until Gremmy grew tired of it and made it stand still for the next ability.

He read the pages of the floating book and puffed green smoke from his nose as the dummy shambled over and moaned. Gremmy rubbed his chin as hee aimed his staff at it. Nigh instantly the zombie was put into stasis and sank into the ground, not to come back until summoned again. That stasis skill would come in handy whenever Gremmy killed something and wanted it for later, but wanted it in good condition.

Following this, he allowed his green and red energy to flow from his mouth and hands as he literally crafted a lesser soul and allowed it to combine and transform into something he could use. It rushed forth quickly, and snatched the health from one of the trainees. Gremmy's aura stopped the boy from even wanting to say anything to him, and he felt his own vitality raise from that. He smirked and moved on from that skill.

The book slammed shut beside his head and he looked to Lilith with a hunger inside of him. "More. I need dead bodies to continue. They don't need to be people, I just need bones!" he told her now having gotten a taste and wanting nothing more than to slay some demons. There was also the matter of elemental magic, but he was currently uninterested in those.

                                                      Poison/Disease Immunity
Lich's are simply immune to these things, as they are already dead.

The necromage learned swiftly, and for that Liltih was pleased. Training people literally had to be the dullest thing in the face of this planet. When she had been made Captain by Alistair, Lilith had originally been quite pleased. It meant he had recognized her skill and prowess. Or so she thought. What it actually meant was that all the nuggets would come crawling to her and ask for Lilith to hold their hand through easy a** spells and spoon feed them the knowledge. "Slow down there bojangles. Before you start throwing anything better than a dumbass sword weilder you'll need to pick its parts carefully. Let's go over your mage skills. Fire and air, yeah?" Lilith sashayed over to the other book shelves, replacing the book of the dead in favor of a generic a** trick collection. Lilith handed the fire book over and began to speak on them. As she spoke she emphasized her words with a theatric flick of both her hands. Two jets of flames shot up and held for just a moment. "Arcane spells are pretty much the same s**t over and over again. Each element will have offensive, defensive, and utility based spells. Use your brain and manipulate your energy, bend it to your will and follow the guidelines." Lilith directed, showing just how easy it really was by turning one of those jets into a whip and the other into a ball that shot into the air. She expected the lich to run through all the spells he could manage at his current level of power.

When the woman called him bojangles, his eye level turned into that line again, remiscent of e.e or -v- as he stood there staring at her. He thought her infinitely more irritating than before now, as all of the bone and dead jokes were getting old, fast. He so longed for the days where he just blinked and blew people up, but such days were as dead as him. And would be revived as he was in time. "Are most girls of this time... like you?" he asked with literally no inclination as to what he was referring to. The line had simply been delivered void of any emotional bearing. It was totally open to interpretation. He sighed green smoke as another book was thrown at him, and then stopped in mid air and opened before him. More magic of direct destruction it looked like. No, he saw a few defensive ones. That one there could come in handy. He held up a hand and the elements bent to his will, forming a shield of wind in front of him.

The next skill he read was a simple one. He opened his mouth, and inhaled deeply. Energy swirled in his... lack of belly and he exhaled, blowing so hard a wall cracked from the presure before giving in. He stopped suddenly and laughed at a joke in his head about breaking wind. He laughed because he didn't even know what that idiom meant. At all. Because he is old as shizz.

He moved on from that technique, focusing his wind in his left hand. He opened it, and just like the majestic fart of a blazing unicorn of doom a stream of wind shot forth. This skill could be both defense and offense, as most wind skills could. Moving onto fire he held out a hand and narrowed his eyes as a continuous stream of flames jetted outwards, searing right through a dummy. He then spun in a circle making a fire spin around his body. Finally, with the last bit of concentration he had he made a shield of fire in front of him and protected him.

"I tire of this. Might we move on now?" he asked as he grabbed his staff from the ground and dropped the book off on some random shelf with his magickz.

Liches are, as described, the risen dead of the more magical races oriented beings in the world. They have already learned to cheat death once, and will no doubt do it again. If a Lich is killed, but not properly excersized and/or laid to rest, then they will only remain dead for a certain amount of time, after which their soul, no their very essence will reconfigure elsewhere, bringing them back to life as strong as they were at death. Rpc's a rank higher, while unable to ignore this, can push it away and fight normally. RPC's two ranks higher are unmoved by this. At equal or one rank lower, hostile RPC's will be hesitant to fight a Lich, and by two ranks this feeling causes a sense of fear so great that enemies are forced to choose flight, rather than fight.

Lilith smirked at the reaction she was getting from the dessicated corpse that went by the name Gremmy. At his question she laughed and winked an eye at the lich. "Oh sweetie, there are no girls like me." That playful look did not leave her eyes as she observed the Lich running through the spells. It was nice that he wasn't an idiot. These were basic as ******** and Lilith even appreciated that Gremmy decided to skip some of the a** tier spells of the wind. When he proclaimed he was ready to go Lilith headed to the doorway. "Yes, let's get started then." Lilith exited the building with a new pep to her step. She had been waiting for this for a long time.

                                              • Extremely seductive. Like Incubi, you possess the ability to instantly seduce others as long as they're two ranks below you. It's said that this becomes possible only due to their astounding beauty, but that is only a supplement. The Succubi are indeed far more beautiful than all other races, but their seduction lies in the magical energy they are born with. This energy flows around them and into the air like cells into a vein, bewitching any they seek.

                                              • Lilith has developed the ability to detect the emotional state of the people near her and manipulate her succubus aura to merely make people around her feel very wanting of the more pleasurable acts. They become lascivious ratchet hoes, making it easier for Lilith to seduce people. This makes it so people one rank under Lillith are instantly seduced. If the opponent thinks they will be harmed the aura is broken. If Lilith tries to kill the target they are snapped out of it as well.

                                              • Arcane Arts: Her magic spells are quite devastating should one hit you. (+1 rank to magic)

                                              • Ability to manifest certain aspects of the demon at will. They can extend wings, sharp fingernails, as well as horns when they please.

                                              • Detect Magic
The user can detect magic. This means when others cast spells, or emanate high amounts of energy, you can see their aura. This also means you can detect magic in an area, meaning if an area has something magical about it, you can feel it. At higher ranks, you can determine the source in an area.

                                              • Vibration Sensory
A useful skill, the user channels energy into their feet to sense vibrations on the ground. As long as their feet is on the ground, a user can sense where an enemy is if they are earth bound within 50ft for five posts. This skill becomes passive once the user is Adept Rank.

His first steps--well, in a long time, that is--into the spwoon fort were light, almost unnoticeable. It had been nearly fifty years since his travels had last taken him to this place; to think that this time, it would be for educational purposes? Strange, especially for someone of his longevity.

However, his time on Axiom had taught him that--above all else--time was precious. He wasted none. Going straight from the top with the Gunslingers' skills, Amias began with Gun toss. After theatrically twirling the guns in between shots for a short while, the man quickly determined that this was but a parlor trick; something simple for the younger ones to dally over.

[1/1] Gun Toss

Next was the Energy Bullet Technique. The concept seemed simple enough. You run out of ammo, you load your own energy into the chamber and fire it like a bullet...after a few tries, the Pagan was able to determine that it was just as simple in practice as it was in theory. Molding his energy to fit into a chamber was practically effortless.

[1/1] Energy Bullet

Frustratingly enough, there were some that were blocked off from his access, but that didn't phase him much. Perfect Timing was his next stop...and a rather interesting skill at that. Since he had done so much with energy displacement and application with his bloodline abilities, making the air more or less dense with energy was practically a birthright. Didn't take him long at all, for that matter.

[1/1] Perfect Timing

Again, a simple concept. Shooting the enemy's gun--or their hand if going for brutality points--as a means of removing their weapon was an ages-old idea that had been perfected by many individuals before. So naturally, it didn't take long before he got the hang of it as well. It was little more than visualizing a tree into a person, and anticipating seventy-three different possible movements before shooting.

[1/1] Disarm

Next it was onto the revolver skills. The first one was a specific skill called Snapshot. Whoever came up with these skills was on drugs, forreal. It was rather sad that attacks which were more like common sense. Like really...who the hell didn't know to use the recoil of a gun as an aiming tool? Frickin Amateurs.

[1/1] Snapshot

The next one was a similar idea to the gun toss. More baseless folly meant for the flashy displays of arrogance and small p***s societal hatred. The user of this skill throws their gun in the air for show, then catches and shoots it. What a perfect opportunity for a fast opponent to shoot around, catch their gun, and shoot them with it. How stupid.

[1/1] Trick Shot

For my next trick, I will walk around in a circle firing off Glancing shots like a fool until I actually hit something. Then I'm going to do the Final Fantasy victory dance until I realize that I didn't gain any exp; the battle isn't over because I hit one person in a group of one thousand with this stupid skill. GGWP.

[1/1] Dual Dance

Even worse...just pulling your trigger finger like a feeding CoD noob with freaky fresh hands. Unloading everything into one spot--even though you're secretly at 0 fps--and your opponent already knifed you for the final killcam. Essentially...this technique is bad and should feel bad. Like most of the other ones he's learned so far.

[1/1] Rapid Chain

Now it was on to Shotgun stuff. The first technique really wanted him to be Miss Fortune. Shooting shells up into the air so that they disperse in a scatter pattern below? How blatantly overused and cliche. Instead of whining about it, the man simply shot his gun in the air, using his energy to disperse the shells before they hit the poor mannequin he'd been smacking this whole time.

[1/1] Bullet Rain

The next skill--Blowback--was frighteningly simple to the Disarm skill he'd learned before, with the exception that it was painfully more tedious than its predecessor. This was because the shotgun was incredibly close ranged, and therefor would be more difficult to use as a disarming tool than the handgun or revolver.

[1/1] Blowback

The final technique he wanted to learn for now was one called The Wall. It was a concept he'd dreamed up quite some time ago, and its use was quite...troll. Because of his time witnessing energy, and how it was molded, it definitely didn't take long to finish. Before him stood a majestic wall, capable of making even the greatest scholars of this time scratch their heads in confusion. For now, that would be all for his training unless he were approached by someone.

[1/1] The Wall

Gremmy looked over to the new man with an acute interest; something about him, the way he walked, the way he...existed was strange. After being so...humbly invited by the strange man who appeared to be glowing 50 different kinds of OP, he was debating for a while. However, he had learned all that he wanted to from his current allotment, so in the end, Amias did pick up his things and follow the duo to their preferred destination. At this point, there wasn't much he hadn't seen in his lifespan of his, so going along for the ride wasn't completely unwarranted; perhaps he'd see something new?

Gemini would enter this combat assessment zone with quite a big smile on his face. He walked with his hands behind his head, his arms up, and his head simply straight forwards all the time. His skin was extremely pale looking, his eyes covered by a blind fold. He had some red puffy like pants on, and the rest of his body was covered in papers of some sort more or less tag marks, that some but not all people that dabble a bit in necromancy use on their brought back from the dead being to keep complete control. They did not serve that purpose for Gemini, they were simply there to look cool. Although the man's eyes were blindfolded, he easily could tell what was going on around him. There wasn't a lot of things that could escape his version of sight. This mental map he created through the use of each and every sense that he had except sight. He honestly, forgot why he came to this place though. Perhaps it was for a bit of training or something? He would ponder on his reasoning as he would hold his hand out, creating a small fireball in his hand as he tried to think about what exactly he was here for.
