(( Okay, I let you go with that because.. well, I didnt want to say anything else when you posted.... but... well, disregarding the fact that the roll actually failed:

1. Jessie has no weapon out to disarm.

2. Jessie is impossible to disarm. ))

The drow narrowed his eyes at the man's sudden tirade. He was about to repsond, when the man made a sudden flailing motion and... tripped over his own feet. Having jumped into a stance at the sudden movement, Jessie's body slowly relaxed as he watched the man tumble around on the floor. The Captain could only guess what the stranger's motive was in performing such a movement, and took a step backwards in puzzlement as he swigged the potion.

You cannot be serious...

After several moments of indecision while the man attempted to recover himself, Jessie determined that while the... movement... might have been intended as some sort of attack... it would be cruel to dispatch the child. Thus, he left Mergloth in its scabbard, backed back into the room, and quietly shut the door.

Turning back to his colleagues within the room, he met their bemused gazes with one of his own.

"Well," he said, by way of explanation "That was... one of the stranger things I've seen in my seven decades of life."

Eyes drifting towards the notable wizard, Coline contemplated the Priestess' offer. An energy potion sounded rather tempting, although she didn't really want to bother the already-irritable Professor. But the thought of what she could use it for... a million possibilities flashed through her mind, although one stood out from all the rest: She could do twice as much training with something like that. Heck, thrice, four times, as much as she wanted!

Before she could even come to a decision however a strange man greeted them by the door. The same man she'd been carrying around for hours. Shirtless. His arms and certain parts of his chest were covered with wounds. Had the acolyte not treated him properly? What had happened to him?

The next series of events flashed through like a speeding train; the Priestess' withdrawal, the handing of the potion, the confrontation by the door, and the next thing she knew the Captain had returned from the door. It bothered her how she couldn't get a grasp of everything that had just happened within the last few minutes. Perhaps it was really time for a rest.

...No, she still had some unfinished business.

"What did he want?" she asked, in a hope to stir back some conversation into the now-silent room.

Jessie met his - whatever Coline was to him -'s eyes, puzzlement still evident all over his face.

"I... am not at all sure, little one," he replied hesitantly. Well, if one good thing had come about as a result of the random encounter, it was that the bad feelings that had swept over the room all seemed to have been wiped clean. Even Lorika, who'd been consumed by some strange anxiety, was peering towards the door with interest. None of them had ever seen the drow quite as confused as this. None of them had seen what went on just beyond his robed figure, either. If they had, they might have all been wearing similar expressions.

After another long silence, Jessie gave a small cough and strode forward, back to Coline's side. "I hope you're feeling well again, Priestess," he said, ill feelings truly forgotten. "I believe we've said everything that needs to be said now, don't we?"

Lorika agreed, and he nodded at her in return. "Very well. Then... if noone had any objections, I believe that we-" it was obvious that the "we" here referred to himself and Coline "will be taking our leave now. The energy potion, if you please, Professor?"

With only a small amount of grumbling about his clients, Panda handed over the elixer. "Thank you."

"Oh..." she muttered silently in response. He looked rather confused himself so she didn't bother pressing him more on the matter. Come to think of it, this was probably the first time she'd seen him sport this kind of expression; it was so foreign that she found a strange sense of endearment from being able to witness it.

Coline's eyes followed him as he walked back over to her side. Calm, collected, beautiful Jessie; his stern and yet comforting voice resounding through her ears as he spoke. It was almost as if she were seeing an image of him from her dreams right at that moment. Her vision was blurred only so slightly, brought about the swell of admiration she felt for the drow. But then the lovely image of her Captain soon doubled, and nearly tripled.

...Perhaps it wasn't because of admiration after all.

Her lids were starting to grow heavy. The recruit had to exert extra effort to keep her eyes open, even more to keep herself aware of what was going on around her. Glancing around the room proved to help little to this cause as it served nothing but to worsen her dazed state, but if not for that she never would have chanced upon the sight of a bottle being placed upon a familiar hand.

That was more than enough to wake her senses.

"NO!" she protested. Eyes wide Coline glanced about the room like a child caught in the act of doing something horribly wrong. She herself was startled by her sudden outburst. "W-What I mean to say is, there really is no need for it, Professor. I'll be fine with a bit of sleep." she stammered as she turned to the irritable wizard, placing a grateful hand to her chest. "But thank you all the same for your kindness."

Kindness... She was suddenly reminded of the weight on her shoulder; the bag of supplies she'd brought back with her from the cave. The recruit, after a few moments of thoughtful silence, paced towards the winged woman. Carefully, she bent down and set the bag down by her feet. "This belonged to him." she said, rising back up to enclose the strip of the missing boy's jacket into her... paw? "I promise you, we will do everything in our power to bring your friend back. Until then... please hold on to this."

With that she turned to regard the distraught Priestess and the Professor with a brief bow and headed for the door, swinging it open mindlessly. The sight that greeted her gradually drained whatever feeling of good-will she had inside of her. That armored man, that same man who attacked her Captain without due cause, was now standing in front of her, very much conscious.

Coline's expression shifted into one of passive hostility as her hand slowly crept towards her back, slowly reaching to grip at her trident's handle as she stared piercingly into the man's eyes with a dreadful silence.

"Total, 'Lexi. I play too. Well, not the violin, the native american flute, but still. And the Clarinet. And piano, and if I can get my hands on one, the Organ." She laid out on the sand.

Panda soon grew bored with the conversation before him. He had heard, and seen it all before. After all the excitement things seemed to die down, and with one of his most precious potions given to that drow man, he was as irritable as ever. That was until he saw lorika still shaken from the emotional rollercoaster she had just been put through.

He slowly walked over to his desk and retrieved three potions, two identical to the one the drow had and one especially made for her. feeling as though she needed it he unwrapped it from it's packaging to reveal a shimmering purple liquid unlike any potion before it.

"THESE were suppose to be a secret lorika. I was saving them for when we needed it. Now the surprise is ruined!." he said walking over and patting her head, handing her the two healing potions before showing her the third. "You seem to be having a rough day. Luckily for you, I grew bored last week. This potion here...is an improved sleep potion called "Sandman" Take it before you sleep and you'll be guaranteed to have plenty of good dreams for one night. Hopefully then you can truely rest." He said looking from her to the others. "I believe ALL of you need a good nights sleep...away from here of course." he added as coline turned to leave. when she froze in her tracks though, he almost yelled "Is there something wrong?"

Feline took the fabric gently from the exhausted woman. She hadn't noticed before how ragged and energy drained the woman was before because she had been so worried about what the woman thought of her. There was an inner strength when she spoke though that Feline found heartening.

This is a woman who will finish what she says she will. I could do worse than to learn from her.

Humbled she looked again at the fabric. It was such a distinct color and texture that there was no way this could not be Bapp's.

"This is his alright." she sniffed slightly feeling more alone than ever, "I thank you for your diligence in finding him. I will do my best to see that he is brought home too."

She turned the fabric over in her hands and felt a wash of memories of the boat crash hit her again. The edges of them weren't as harsh now and seemed to leave more behind to stay with her when the wave went away. More and more she was able to start piecing the events of the day together and she was beginning to realize just how much she owed the High Priestess for her life.

Feline started to turn to Lorika so that she may offer her thanks at the same time the Captain and the woman opened the door and tensed.

Trouble rolled off of the stances of both well trained bodies. Teeth bared Feline felt her fur rise. Reflexively she pulled her small magics about her, prepared for the worst.

Do I contol the blades in my hands?

The woman that opened the dorr was not the high priestess, not the captain. in fact it was an initiate to the order, and apparently, a combatant, judging from her very hostile reaction to him. Also, others happened to have taken notice to his presence and were not too pleased either.
"Please," he said solemnly, a look of deep apology on his face, "allow me to tlak with high Priestess Lorika."
Still hostile, bordering on angry, the people in the room stood still, giving him a chance to trake in all of their appearances, and he could tell none of them was Lorika, but it was a much larger room than what he saw from his vantage point.
Again, Less assertively, he said "I implore you, I must speak to her. Alow me to make amends for my actions."

Or do they control me?

*Edit*
If Lorika Or panda wants to dialogue with my character, go ahead, I won't be on for a couple of hours, but I trust you guys.

"That's really cool!!" Alexi said. "Hmm...as for the total I don't know. It's got to be about three years now, I think...I learned how to play violin at about the same time I learned to play drums, guitar, and piano. I was in a band a while back." She stretched her arms up toward the sky. "But don't quote me on that one."

Glancing at Coline as she cried out - god, she looked absolutely exhausted - only served to strengthen Jessie's resolve. As she turned away to speak to Feline, he dropped the potion into one of his many indiscernable pockets, nodding gratefully to the Professor, before stepping back.

He then watched the girl as she opened the door and started defensively. WHile the others reacted, he swept up behind her and met the man who had attacked him right in the eyes from behind Coline's shoulder. The two exchanged suspicious glares, before the man asked to speak to the Priestess. Jessie looked round at her, appraising the situation. As long as she stayed with Panda, she should be safe enough.

Stepping back into the room, he drew close to the wizard, leaning in to give an instruction only he could hear. "If you care about this woman, or the fate of the Order, do not leave her alone with that man."

He then swept back to the door, firmly taking Coline's hand. Meeting the man's eyes again, he moved to brush through the door and past him, pulling Coline along with him. "Excuse us, if you please."

Getting past the man as the first step. He then had to get them both out of there without any further confrontation - which, with the close proximity of the back door, he managed.

Once back round at the front of the Temple, Jessie stopped, having pulled Coline along the entire way.

"Well," he said, looking off down the path towards civilisation "What do you propose we do n-?"

His body reflexively jumped as a weight thumped against his back. Looking round, he saw that Coline had fallen forward against him in a dead faint.

As he turned, her body began to slide down - but he was quick enough to catch her before she hit the ground.

"Well," he said, to her more than to himself; cheerfully continuing their conversation despite her lack of consciousness "I suppose that settles things."

Carefully picking her up, he remembered the first time she'd collapsed into his arms - was this the third time? He remembered the panic, the having no idea what was happening, how she'd hidden her exhaustion expertly until the very last few seconds. By now he was able to recognise the signs on her sooner. He'd been more prepared for this.

"All the same, we need to stop doing this every time we meet," he smiled, gliding off down the path, the girl asleep in his arms. As her head lolled and rested against his chest, he looke down, and remained looking. In the encroaching twilight, Coline looked absolutely stunning. Her face was set in the mask of sleep, features smoothed out - not knotted or worried, as they usually appeared. The Captain tended to be able to see better at this time of day anyway, as shadows began to gather. He could appreciate her fine features in all of the detail they deserved, much like the morning they'd watched the sun rise together.

He smiled, hugging her tightly, and the next words out of his mouth were choked with affection. "Don't worry. I'm not letting you out of my sight until you've had all the rest you need."

Arriving back at the door to the cabin, he bent bit by bit to open the door without jolting his passenger - blushing as he realised how inappropriate his carrying an unconscious girl back to his rooms might have looked. It was a silly thought - he knew his intentions were only honourable, and so would Coline had she been awake - but still enough to cause him a moment of embarrassment.

He shut the door behind him, and was hit by a sudden dilemma. Should he set her down in one of the chairs, or... his bed? The flush of mortification returned. He stepped further in, weighing the options. The bed would be more comfortable, certainly, and afford her a great deal more privacy. The only problem was the question of what she might think upon waking - but waking in the chair with him in the room might certainly be the greater distress, knowing her. So, the decision was made - he brought her in through the door on the right of the back wall, and laid her down gently on top of the covers. After a few moments of thought, he pulled off her shoes, and of course unlatched the trident from her back, propping it against the wall beside the bedside table. A few more moments and he lifted her again, removing the downy quilts from beneath her and laying them this time on top. Satisfied, he then left the room and deliberately shut the door, with no intention of re-entering until it was opened by the occupant within.

If I came right out and said 'You're beautiful'?

(( Note for Nii when she gets back: I wasn't lying when I said I'd take her to his bedroom ;O
