hi hi! Skippy here, i joined with my alt (Risa Bathory) a while ago... but thought wtf, none of my other guilds or RPs are very active right now, and i spent all day reading the old posts here on "her" account anyway... so i figured i should join in 3nodding

I dunno if there is anywhere exactly I'm supposed to go, so I'll just ask it here.

Basically it's a future post-apocalyptic sort of plot, but it takes place so far after whatever brought around the apocalypse that the cause itself is forgotten, and all that really remains of today are myths and the skeletons of the cities. Guns and all of that jazz aren't around anymore because people developed a technological phobia and hardly anything new is ever created, so they're kind of stuck in early medieval ages-iron is the best metal yet and the the only explodey thing would be a canon and those are pretty rare.

So yea, this is the part that's half-formed, but basically every animal has it's own 'god' for lack of a better term, that watches of their entire race. The humans have one two, of course, but the point is that each of the other god's decided it would be a good idea to have a way for their races to communicate with the humans, because humans were the only race that couldn't speak with everyone else, but they were also the most powerful. They each had a child with a human woman, and so the half-breed child of the two races were born, but this always kills the mother. Then the half-breed, which ended up being named a Race, is left on their own in most cases, and are raised by the animal who's race they share. Races are both revered and frightened, so they're typically avoided by humans, despite the fact that they were born to communicate with them...

And yea.
That's basically all I really have right now.

Kind of a half and half. It'd be possible to make either a half-breed or a human, depending on your preferences. Half-breeds aren't able to transform into their animal, although they can talk with their animal. Humans are scared of them, but because they're the offspring of gods, revere them too, so there's that tension between offering a bunch of fruit or meat (depending on which Race you're dealing with) and running in fear from something with teeth and claws that can talk to you.

Of course, I'm working on a bad guy, 'cause there has to be a bad guy in a plot like this or it's just kind of gets bland. At least in my experience. He/She would probably be wanting to convince the half-breeds to join them so that they could command the respect of all the humans or something like that.

I'm hoping to have a good time, maybe learn new tricks, maybe improve on old tricks, maybe toss ideas around, maybe build off of ideas tossed at me. Mostly here to have fun with writing, because it doesn't mean anything unless you're enjoying what you're doing! smile
