kaliskanny Galilee had sense the person behind him before they'd announced their presence. He was a skilled fighter...or had been at one time...and that was not lost to his reflexes and instincts. He turned quickly and grabbed the person, pinning him to the ground. He looked at him, wishing for once he had his voice...but would have to just wait and see what happened. he smiled as he lay there. this one had some skill. he locked gazzes with his assalent and slid his tail silently around the grip of one of his katars and with lightning speed drew it from its sheath and pressed it the blade against the males neck. "i ment and mean you no harm. you can see i am injured, i want no blood shead and will only spill yours if nessasary. get off me or my blade will slit your throat. once again. i mean you no harm." almost no one ever suspected his tail as it was hidden from view at most times, this situation had arrisen before with a demon lord. he actually had to slit the demons throat on that occasion. he kept a calm look on his face despite the pain of the wounds that had been reopened from him being brought to the ground. hopefully this young man would release him.

Cinderfae Kasai looked out at the water with the lillies, the water was deep. Now he really wasn't afraid of water he didn't mind the bathtub or even the smaller pond near the colony. But Kasai really didn't know about being in water so deep. Looking around Kasai spied a small boat near the shore, Well I don't mind you swimming to get the lillies but what if something happens to you? I wouldn't want you to drown....

Ice Queen Io nodded, noting that it was light enough for them to see, and started heading past the warring Rade. The noise was vicious, and almost gave her a headache, but she dealt with it. This plan did two things, after all. It got them safely past the caves and did serious damage to the fighting forces of their greatest enemies. It was perfect. She paused as she found herself in the ruins once again, looking at the vine covered, broken streets and fountains with a slight sigh. "Well... here it is."
Staring about, she was feeling the emotions keenly, eyes brightening with distress.
*What happened to us?*she asked softly.

Galilee sat up, raising his hands to show he was unarmed. He got up and moved to the side, cursing himself for not bringing a knife...and now this. Was he now a hostage? He wondered if he'd be heard if he called for help. He decided to risk it. Kasai? Zahar? Someone? There's a guy with a tail...he has a knife...and I'm lost in the woods...

Io glanced over, shrugging slightly. "Jealousy." Was her reply. "Sometimes power is one of the worst things you can have."
She headed into the ruins, looking at the fountain with an almost depressed gaze. That was the same fountain that had been in Sei's picture. Where she and her sister had played together so often.
"The palace is that way. The temple is beside it. Or what's left of them." She said pointing to the left.

He wondered if he'd be heard if he called for help. He decided to risk it. Kasai? Zahar? Someone? There's a guy with a tail...he has a knife...and I'm lost in the woods... the big man moved off and he sighed heavily and shook his head. he would not risk killing this man, not when he knew that he was linked to the yellow skined girl and the other fire masked male who had saved his life by guiding him back. he owed those two a debt. his tail nimbly slid the katar back into its sheath. and he groaned as he pushed himself to his feet. being taken down like that had reopened a couple wounds. he bowed ever so slightly to the big man in respect of his prowess.... no one had ever senced his approach like that before... this one was deserving of some respect at least. he drew the katana off his back and held it out saluteing and quickly replaced it in its sheath. so much for everyone around here not wanting to kill him. " can't hold it against him," he thought to himself, "esspecially concidering the circumstances." he waved a dismissing hand and did something he would never do to what he thought was still a threat to him and turned his back and began to walk away. perhaps they might meet again, but perhaps not.

*Jealousy?*Shiva repeated, uneasily. A half answer that was as bad as none. Sharing a brief glance with Nika, she started off after the other girl.
*Io, why did you bring us here? We wanted to come, but why did you offer?* She felt on the verge of understanding something, and held tightly to that thought. *Was there something here you wanted to find as well?*

"Why?" She asked, looking blank for a second. "Because Nika was my father before the curse." She said bluntly, turning to look at him. "And there are people and things that would willingly kill him in this world. You might be a guard, but the mask has cut your power level in half."
There was a serious look on her face. "And I won't have the king of Masquerade killed before he becomes my father once again."

Galilee was surprised, then he realized this guy might know the way out. He didn't know how to call to him or ask him for help, so he started following him.

"may i help you? or are you going to attack me again? well if you can understand me anyway... can you write or lip read or something? ive seen the others comunitcate. im guessing yuo all speak telepathically or something to do with psionics.. maybe not.. either way you will have to comunicate with me somehow here..." he turned fully and folded his arms looking inquisitively at the much bigger man and waited.

He was silent at first, turning this way and that as he followed Shia and Io, trying to remember everything.
'Jealousy?' he blinked and shook his head in confusion. It was hard to believe.
Nika sighed and turned to look at Io. He was already used to feeling protected, and just begining to accept it. It came with the job.
'Io,' he smiled warmly at her, 'You are my daughter... and you always have been. I helped to raise you, once. None of us have changed that much.'

She looked at him, smiling slightly. "But you don't know how much you HAVE changed, Pop. And right now, well, Ice is my mom. Just like Gee is yours. Until you remember who you were when you raised me, then I can't quite consider you my father. But I can consider you my friend."
She turned, motioning to the ruins of the castle. "Now let's go see the throne."

'I suppose I can understand,' Nika smiled weakly at Io and then wrapped his arms around her for a small hug. He knew that she had said it in the best way possible. He had just spent the last few months growing up, younger than her.
'I'm not sure if remember is a good thing or not,' he said honestly, smiling at Shiva, 'We'll have to find out.'
He turned so that he was facing the direction the palace was in and then held both of his arms out, much like he was going to lead Shiva and Io to a dance or a ball and said, 'Shall we?'

((sorry for the delay guys. I have been having tests again and having been in rp'ing mood. sweatdrop )) Aricin_Shadow Nodding Aricin thought... "Yes, lets tell him that he's welcome to come see us, but we have to find our beds now... or something..." Theres a little color in his cheeks and its obvious he's embarassed about his earlier behavior.... "Give him this in person." He toes the hard med pack. Kataio shrugged. "I think that he wants to be left alone, and he seems to be gone anyways. Aricin would you just like to come back to camp with me? I think that Zahar is there." Kata started to turn and walk back to the camp feeling a bit hollow. Rhiannon Everwind Kenshi nodded lightly, gently turning his mug of tea in circles, as if deciding on whether or not to take another sip. After a moment he took his hand away and linked his fingers together, placing both hands on the table in front of him. He did have questions, but he wasn't sure if he wanted to ask them, even if Zahar said she was willing to answer them. That must have been a large task, setting up a clinic. Perhaps you can show it to me later?
The tone of the boy's voice was casual, as if it was simply a comment and he had no real interest in seeing the place. The thought about going was fleeting, and though he did find himself curious, he didn't think he would actually be going anytime soon. He turned his azure eyes back up to her and his head tilted subconsciously. He was quiet for a moment, and the only indication that he might have been uneasy in asking any questions was the gentle yet insistent tapping of his left thumb against his hand. Curiosity winning in the end, he cleared his throat softly, Who is your sister? And why does she dislike you so much that she wishes you dead?
She listened to the light breeze for a moment before talking about her sister. Zahar took in a deep breath. 'Io is my sister. Everytime I met her she seemed to look at me as if I were a curse. I understand now, but I really wish things had not have turn out the way they did.' She paused and her eyes when a bit dull and saddened. 'We used to have a bit of fun when we were kids. Of course we took seperate specialties. It made us a bit more distant, but she was still there for me if I needed and I was with her if she needed me. We knew that we had different strengths.' Zahar smiled into Kenshi's eyes. 'I messed up and caused some big trouble in our past life and I think she remembers. One of the few I know who remembers that. I really doubt Io will forgive me.'
