((Chris treat rping like a chess game. You can't rush in expecting to obtain your king (I.E: Your goal) right away. No, if you do so you end up screwing your self over. Instead you must be patient and think moves through and in doing so it obtains more meaning. You also learn to enjoy it more.))Maximos Lady Festus. ::Maximos said with a bit of reverance and a dash of charm. She was infact a lady, and all women deserved to be treated and called by the respectful terms with which their fairer gender gifts them.:: It is an honor, indeed. A black knight you truly are. Seriously now, enough with the medieval mumbo jumbo. It's really starting to get on my nerves.Maximos ::And he rose. His dark eye gently gazing back from behind his thick framed glasses. His hair, gently parting and falling to either side of his head its navy blue color exposed by the light which now cast itself at his back. His right hand rose up to gently tap his chin.:: Where to go? Hmmmm. The darkness is closest to my home, but I feel it would be most rude for me to bring you home, what with us having only just met. Hmm... Bring... me... home? Why I ought ta! Slowly, the fingers upon her demonic right hand began to curl. Causing a hush yet noticeable sound of bones popping to erupt into the air. This being the first time the arm had move since the beginning of the encounter. Maximos ::Tapped his chin a bit more before an idea struck him, and his finger rose up to tap his own nose, and he spoke.:: If I may ask Lady Festus, where do you hail from? Instantly her hand relaxed. Having realized that this man was possibly her best chance in getting the hell out of here. bloody hell, what a wonderful s**t-tastic day. Durem, I guess would be where I hail from.

((We're gonna fight? Wow. The kid assumes alot doesnt he?)) Winget A black knight you truly are. Seriously now, enough with the medieval mumbo jumbo. It's really starting to get on my nerves. My apologies. ::Maximos said with an apologetic nod.:: Its ones of the flaws of being born in an "older", generation. ::Older, that was really the only way he could describe the time warped tale that was his arrival here on Gaia those few years ago.:: Winget Bring... me... home? Why I ought ta! Slowly, the fingers upon her demonic right hand began to curl. Causing a hush yet noticeable sound of bones popping to erupt into the air. This being the first time the arm had move since the beginning of the encounter. Instantly her hand relaxed. Having realized that this man was possibly her best chance in getting the hell out of here. bloody hell, what a wonderful s**t-tastic day. Durem, I guess would be where I hail from. ::Maximos nodded yet again. Durem, he'd been there, it was a small walk away from Barton, and a good half hour walk from the Stadium. It really seemed that Maximos was obvious to the movement of her claw, or the fact that she nearly attacked him. He just continued speaking, just as friendly as always.:: Durem hmm...well. Your a long way from Durem, Lady Festus. There is however a rather large tree in that direction. ::And as he said "That", he pointed towards the bright light in the distance and gave a stout nod and a smile. How exciting! A tree!:: Would you like to come visit it with me?

no s**t insti- A... tree?
Festus looked on. With a rather dumbfounded expression on her face. It was as if she had never heard of such a thing, though not true in the least. With traveling one will and quite often come accross trees espacially if one traveled through forests.
No, what she was confussed with was... well she just couldn't register through her mind what a perennial woody horizontal twig had to do with anything! No matter how big it might be.
Now normally she'd would respond by either A) A crude sarcastic reply B) Biting the man's head off However with the confussed state which she was in; she responded
o... kay...
Followed with a simple nod of the head.

Great! ::Maximos said, excited as a little kid would be. Yes, he was infact excited to see....a giant tree. Why? How? Who the fleeb? Why the fleeb? Who knows? What is known is that with a bright smile, he gestured toward the big glowly light at the end of the abyssmally confusing path and began walking. Periodically he would check back to make sure Lady Festus was still following behind. Surprisingly, the light wasnt as far as it seemed, it was more of a very small light not a very far light. But none the less as they neared it, it soon became a bit more...transparent, allowing someone to see past it as opposed to being blinded by its sheer brightness. Seeing past it would reveal....a giant tree. Ethereal Void Tree of Life Simply put, two chosen people will literally vanish, and end up here. Upon winning or losing, they come back to their original place in time and space like nothing happened. The tree can change, it's platform filling with sand or becoming as slippery as ice. Of course, the changes only take place at the start of the fight, and never during.
It would feel ... woozy. For a moment, there was the world, the peoples, the sounds, and then ... nothing. So fast it seemed to never have happened at all. The floor where they had been standing transformed to concrete. A small platform for each, 30 feet away from each. The platform was floating in the darkness, held up by a tree. A dark tree, black, blue, green and red in colors, that seemed made of anything but wood. It wouldn't burn, it wouldn't cripple, but it would move, alive.
More platforms were everywhere, held up by the twisted tree. Four men could stand on one very comfily. Wooow.... ::Maximos said with an almost childish innocence. He stared up at it with a smile from ear to ear, caught up in its massive size, its confusing nature, and its all around wonder. And then turned to Lady Festus yet still with his innocent smile and asked one simple question.:: Isnt it great?

Two fingers now massaging her temples as she tried to figure out why they were going to see a tree... Having already regreating saying yes to go seeing it. Maximos Wooow.... ::Maximos said with an almost childish innocence. He stared up at it with a smile from ear to ear, caught up in its massive size, its confusing nature, and its all around wonder. And then turned to Lady Festus yet still with his innocent smile and asked one simple question.:: Isnt it great? It's a tree. A bloody god damn tree. Even if it's magical, even if it's huge, it's still a tree with leaves and bark. Nothing really special. So no, I don't think it's great. It laymen terms, she was annoyed.

Oh no no dear Lady Festus, that is where you would be mistaken. ::Maximos stepped forward rather triumphantly as if all of a sudden he had just become this tree's sales person and needed to sell this tree immediately.:: This isnt just any giant tree, this, is the tree of life. ::He very energetically motioned to the tree as he said that last line, as if to put some real thunder behind his words. Some oompf.:: I bet theres nothing like this back in Durem!

A tree of life is still a bloody tree! A horizontal twig!
In return, festus too pointed towards the tree.
and I don't give a damn if there's anything like that in Durem!

Maximos's arms folded across his chest while he rubbed his chin again gently.:: Well I guess your right. ::He turned back, trying to take in the tree from Lady Festus's point of view as just a tree.:: But, you know, its so big. And...and...so old! ::But alas, he couldnt argue her impeccable and direct reasoning. If she didnt like the tree he couldnt make her like trees. But he could ask a different question.:: Well then, what [ do you like, Lady Festus?

You better believe I'm right.
stupid tree as fast as that brief temperament brought on by annoyance came. It started to seep away. Now her brain was scrambling to find the answer to his question.... what did she like?
well I like... I like
Damn him! He's TRYING to make a fool out of me! What can one say? Festus felt as if she was backed up againt a wall.
I like... not being stuck in this god forsaken void of utter frustration! Besides does it matter what I like? And the temperament was back.
Turning her heal. Festus turn her back to Maximos similar to that of a 2yr old who attempting to ignore another. Her cheeks slowly started to gain that rosy colour of embarrassment.

Winget I like... not being stuck in this god forsaken void of utter frustration! Besides does it matter what I like? And the temperament was back. Of course it matters! ::Maximos had a way of drilling through all the words to find the one he needed to speak to. Despite the fact her back was turned, and despite the frustrated and down right angry words he'd become quite used to, he spoke just as friendly and with just as wide of an innocent smile.:: Why, if you dont know what you like, how will you know if people like you? No parties, no surprise dinners with your favorite food, no gifts...that'd be kinda sad. Surely theres something you like right? ::He cocked his head slightly to the side and began slowly stepping around her as he spoke. That final word "right?", was spoken just as he stepped directly in front of her with the widest smile he could muster.::

She was no longer back up againts a wall. No, now this man was pushing her towards the cornor, and Festus hated being in that cornor.
I don't care if people like me. I hate parties, and surprises, unless I'm the one dishing it out Gifts break, and what I like is peace and quite... and... and... people not asking stupid questions!
With another spin upon her heal. Festus once again turn her back to maximos. Going againts he temptation to claw that smug gleam of pearly whites off his face.

Again... he seemed to have this dream he never quite remembered, yet was all too damn familiar. He always ended up woozy, and engaging in a not-quite-so-deadly death duel...
...and almost always ended up by this damned tree of life.
"Not this dream, again..."
Silver Moonblade grasped his spear, Dragoonair, firmly. He awaited his opponent, who was bound to appear any second.

Karoshi jumps down in front of Moonblade down from the tree of life, slaming the ground with an incredable force. He looked up with a small smile on his face.
Hmm... so this is my opponent.

Immediately upon landing, the man would find the back end of Dragoonair smashed into his face with a powerful thrust. Silver wouldn't bother introducing himself; he wanted this to be over as soon as possible.
