He looked at his father as he followed Maki. He gripped his hand tight. "No." He said it quiet at first. "No!" he looked at his mother who had came to the door and then walked next to Maki back to the car.
"GET BACK HERE NATHEN! We're not do here young man. Get your a** back in the house."

he closed his eyes and started to breath deeply to keep his calm but kept walking "come on Nate, we're going home ok?"

"Okay." He told maki. His dad was still yelling, but he ignored it. He got in the car with Maki and couldn't help but look up at his mother again. She was smiling a little and mouthed 'I love you'. A few tears fell down his cheeks. "I love you too mom." He said softly.

he started to drive off, gripping the stearing wele so har that his knuckles were wight

she whipped the tears away softly and looked up at her husband "he's happy like this" she said softly and took her Husbands hand "let them be"

He looked at his wife. "Sorry if I want grandchildren and our son to be normal." He removed his hand from hers and stormed inside.
He put his hand on Makis leg. He didn't say anything, not wanting to make things worse.

he pulled over and rested his head on the steering wheel "if that's what a father's like, I'm glad I don't have one. he was crying softly

He moved closer to Maki. "They're not all like that." He pulled him closer and kissed his head, "I'm sure your father wouldn't be like that." He just held Maki.

He shut himself in his study slamming the broken door.

she followed him and stood outside the door for a moment "just remember, what you chose effects not just our family but Maki's as well. and he's the only one there that's Gay" and she walked off to her room

He sat back and watched Maki drive. He wished he could be more like him, be able to stand up for himself and all. But it just wasn't him, at least when it came to his father anyway.
