Gatz followed Kakashi's Body Flicker movements around the village for over an hour. Every time his teacher would move a little further way then the last 'flicker', and every time Gatz would stretch his abilities a little more to cover the extra distance. Eventually they were doing stretches that took them half-way across town and back again. Just when Gatz was thinking about trying to outdistance his mentor, Kakashi grabbed his head with one hand to hold him still.
"Hey!" he yelled, squirming.
"Kid, you're going at least as fast as I am by now, and if we keep running around like this, I think it's going to turn out that you can out-distance me."
Kakashi patted Gatz on the head and smiled through his mask. "Which doesn't mean that I couldn't still kick you butt if I wanted to. Now leave me alone and let me get on with my reading."
Gatz sulked off. The idea of surpassing an elite ninja in any area while he was still an academy student was a bit appealling, but there wasn't much point in it if Kakashi wasn't going to run.
Then Gatz suddenly realized how out of breath he was compared to Kakashi. He may have developed the speed to out race his teacher, but he probably didn't yet have the stamia needed to. Some one like Kakashi had built up that kind of endurance over years and years of training; Gatz simply hadn't yet had the time to match that.
Hmm, maybe he's just trying to spare my feelings a bit, he thought. He looked back to wear the elite ninja was already enjoying his book. Nope, he just wanted to read his smut some more...

"augggghhhhhh! the exams are coming and I need to get to money!!!!!" kama shouted. sudenly struck by an idea he dashed into an alley and came out with a cardboard sign around his neck it read:
Name: Kama
Service: merc. for hire
cost: depends on the job

he smirked and pocketed his large black marker.

Suichi was walking down the streets of Konoha when he came across Kama.
"....What the Hell Kama?" Suichi said, rubbing his fingers on the insides of his eyes, unable to belive what he was seeing...

kama just laughed " I gotta get money to get to hidden cloud somehow and anyway it might be fun to eliminate some of the competeion before the exams even start." kama said letting his straw hat fall onto his back.

Suichi then tore off the carboard sign and threw it behind him then smacked Kama in the back of his head, he then reached in his pocket and handed kama 300 zen
"Now here," Suichi said, pushing Kama along.

kama shruged. now with this he should probably get back to work. Kama shouted a quick thanks as he walked back to the ramen shop to don the white apron once more. A small cheer went up from the other cooks, there was now a massive line waiting to be served by the semi famous ninja cook.

Gatz started hunting through the undergrowth of the forest around Hidden Leaf. He was pretty sure that the stupid cat was somewhere around here---now he just needed to figure out where. He was starting to think about searching in another area when he heard the sound of a cat bell somewhere up ahead.
Ah, there it is! he thought, stalking forward silently so as not to startle the cat.

kama wiped some sweat off his face he had actually broken a sweat making all of those orders........ well except for one the strange man in black was still there he aproached. Kama smiled last customer of the day..... "the man 's voice was harsh and as he aproached kama could see a small white beard in the shadows of his cloak. "give me one bowl of ramen to go and make it quick if ya can do it in under 60 seconds I'll give ya something of great value to me now go!" kama was always up for a chalenge. "one more thing" kama stoped in his tracks "you have to do it yourself no skills no nothing." kama almost flew across the kitchen his long blue coat falling onto the ground kama moved quickly doing each step of the process with perscison. kama was almost out of time he placed the garnish on top a threw the bowl the cloaked man caught it effortlessly. the cloaked man removed a pair of chopsticks and picked up a small pile of noodles and slurped them up. he chewed thoughtfully "very good the best I've had to be exact.... and in 58 seconds you earned this." kama caught the black scroll effortlessly. kama nodded his thanks he wasn't sure what the scroll was but it must have been important. but when he looked up the man was gone in his place a small pile of change to play for his ramen. Kama shruged he colected his pay for the day and left the ramen shop. he could hear a small round of aplause as he left.... and from that day on people would hear of "Chef Blue Coat" a remarkeble ramen chef at the local ramen shop of hidden leaf who passed through from time to time.

Gatz was good with most cats, so he figured he'd try calling to the thing first.
"Here kitty, kitty..." he said, trying to get it to hold still while he grabbed it. Which it fortunately did, looking at him questioningly.
*Meow?*
Unfortunately, Gatz was not the only one who was about to make a grab for the cat at that moment, and the large python that had been watching the cat from the nearby grass beat him to the punch. The cat was already half way down in it's mouth by the time Gatz overcame his shock of surprise.
"NOOOOOOO!!!"
He grabbed the snake by the 'neck', in order to keep in from swallowing the cat further, and started beating it over the head with his metal umbrella to make it let go.
"Hey, that thing's my meal ticket, pal! Get off!" Of course, the python was thinking pretty much the same thing.
*MEEEEEOWW!!!* wailed the poor, miserable cat.

"finally I have enough money for the ticket" kama tossed up a large pouch filled with coins and a few bills.

Gatz clubbed the snake on the head until it passed out, then worked on tugging the struggling, frightened cat out of the snake's esophogus (sp?). This was sort of like sticking you hand down the shower drain and trying to fish out a large, wiggling hair clog. Not a pleasant job.
"This thing really isn't made to go in reverse, is it?!" Gatz asked himself.
*Meeerrooww!*
Eventually the cat slid free with a sucking sound. All the fight seemed to have gone out of both creatures for the moment. Gatz tucked the Cat under his arm and walked back to the village.

After a bit of towling off and a little quick combing, the cat was good as new. At least Gatz hoped so. Turns out he needn't have worried so much.
"Ah, poor Tiger! My precious ktty-witty..!" the feudal lady cooed over her now reunited cat.
... That poor cat. No wonder it ran. Maybe I should have just let the snake eat it and put it out of it's misery... Gatz thought.
Rather than saying that outloud, though, he accepted his payment and left the poor cat to it's awful fate.
