Doctor K seemed to materialize from the objects around him as he stepped out away from a clutter of books in the reading room. "Considering the fact that this place is what it is, I suppose it was inevitable that you would wind up here one day. At least that seems to be the case." He calmly walked past Crow and Kioko, looking straight ahead at the other end of the hall as he paced. "It was the beginning of all things to end, and now wiser, the end to all that it has created. The corruption of man finds nothing sacred, his power of reason drives him to the greed that will be the end of all things to come." The doctor paused and pivoted on his heel to face the experiments momentarily. "Of course, with any luck this will all pass leaving little more than a scratch in that brutal history, one last sin to save us all. Follow me, if you will."

Kioko didn't quite understand what this place had to do with all what the doctor said. but then again, that man always spoke in riddles, and that wasn't her forte. She silently followed the mysterious man down the hallway, stopping just to make sure crow was doing the same.

Doctor K continued into the center of the opening, gazing around the room for a moment as if he were observing something. "Your powers, 'magical' as many seem to term it, in nature they require more than simple lab equipment to understand and manipulate. I must admit even now the most that is understood is indefinite, but I intend to further my knowledge with our next endeavor. This will open the doors of knowledge wide to my eyes." A pass of his hand over some object on a stand behind him caused a door visible from inside the room to release a scream of pressurized air before splitting apart to reveal a rock face indenting into the wall, only large enough for a single person. The surface of the indent was aglow with pulsing ruby light that traced tiny arcane markings. The doctor stared at the opening expectantly, after a moment power came to several tiny wires that went along the wall and into it just before the indent began. "Whichever of you would prefer to go first, I'm truly unsure of how long this will last, you may wish to brace yourself." His eyes of the same light that glowed from the indent slid to the sides of the slits in his mask to rest on the experiments.

"Tony! C'mon!" Karin called to her brother from the bushes. I single tear paved it's way down Strobe's cheek.
"Karin?" he asked. The final bonds of te brainwashing loosened and fell apart as he stood there, looking at his sister truly for the first time in years. He ran to her, and they hugged, the mental dampers that they normally put on their hands forgotten, so that red and blue flames rose around them.
"Sister, my sister... How? They told me you were dead." Strobe whispered.
"It was a lie, so they could motivate you for their purposes." Karin whispered back.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..."
"It's okay, Tony. It's okay." Karin looked around. "C'mon." She said, leading him into the bushes.

"i guess, i'll be the one to go first." she said turning to crow.
she took a step forward, hesitant, before fully going into the small indent witht he symbols. she turned around to see the both of them, unsure of what was going to happen next.

The runes in the wall began to glow immediately as Kioko approached, creating ebbs in the air like waves of heat. When she did reach the chamber it would be nearly solid in bright crimson light. Doctor K observed the activity, he didn't seem affected by it, as if he had seen this all before. As Kioko remained in the crevice rubble began to shift beneath her feet, a vapor aura of mist surrounded her body, flames flickered and licked the walls from her form, and a whirlwind of air formed it all into a torrent contained to the symbol coated walls around her.

Crow felt immediately enraged the moment the pain became evident on Kioko's face. He knew that they no longer had freedom with Doctor K, and there would probably be little point in rebelling, but nonetheless he made action. He stepped up to the doctor's side and gripped his shoulder tightly, his powers may have been diminished by the doctor's tricks but even as a regular human he was considerably strong.

Doctor K felt the tight grip of Crow close itself on his shoulder, but he paid it no mind, for he was sure the man knew just as well as he did that without him Kioko could be in serious danger. As the dark energies that composed Kioko and Ryo's fifth element emerged. "Yes, as I had expected, my theory on the energies was correct, now, just for more analysis." Again he waved his hand slowly over the object, ceasing the activity in the chamber, his pupils shifted to lock onto Crow. "Go on now, unless you think the data I have received is insufficient. I am very curious as to what these revelations mean for you." An invisible smile curled its way onto the doctor's face as his hand lingered over the statue in anticipation.
