"I'm afraid we'll have to save the visit for another time," Triton replied back even though who knew when another time would be, "Even though time passes slowly, we don't know how long we'll be gone, and we hope that only a day will pass back home by the time we get back."
Unfortunately the conversion was a bit shaky at best so they could probably only be gone for a few weeks.

Elrohir nodded. "Then we can be out of the city within the hour, and in the desert in four. All I can say is, I hope you have as much water in those bags of yours as Elnara had ..."
His voice trailed off slowly, and he walked in silence for a moment. Finally, he spoke again.
"How ... is she?" he asked hesitantly. He wondered if they would even answer him: Valar knew he didn't deserve to know.

"Elnara is fine, and quite busy these days," Triton replied back gently noticing the hesitantion.
Well that was a bit refreshing, but then again time did amazing things. Triton thought he would never get use to that, the idea people could change so much within a month their time was unsettlign a bit.

Donovan kept a reign on his tongue, one does not look a gifted horse in the mouth, and if Elrohir decided he was going try and understand his sister then that was a good thing. Though he listened in interest.

Yue's reason for keeping quiet was much different, he just felt no need to answer the question. Besides Triton was answering it, while Yue just wouldn't have personally. Even though Elrohir wasn't a bad person, he didn't trust himself, and he wasn't like Donovan.

"Busy," Elrohir nodded. "That's ... good."
Not that it told him anything. But he wasn't going to press for details if they didn't feel like sharing. And after what he had done, he felt he had forfeited any rights to ask anything further.
From then on, he resolved, he wouldn't mention her unless they did first.

"Well... did Daeron tell you about the children?" Triton inquired.
Since he doubted that Daeron was the type not to tell his family about the cousins he suddenly gained. Which that had to be interesting, Triton wished kind of he was there when Daeron would talk about it.
That and he brought it up because it was going to be a long trip and it would be very akward without some conversation.

Elrohir shook his head, inwardly grateful to Triton for continuing the conversation.
"Daeron said something about a cousin when he came back from that one visit," he offered, "but ... he didn't make much sense, no one really understood what he was talking about. Ruel refused to clarify, no surprise there ..."
He paused. "But ... I did meet Serenity," he murmured. "She didn't say much, though ..."

Triton laughed at that, he wasn't surprise it didn't make much sense, "Probably not, Skye, one of Elnara's children, erm.." he probably should clear that up first, "Fostered, snuck in Mom's bag. It probably didn't make much sense to anyone because Skye is an angelic Second, so she's the same race as Yue. They start out very, very small..."
He paused and looked at Elrohir thoughtfully, he decided not to ask about the family thing, it was probably best not to add to it.
"Serenity is just very shy."

Elrohir nodded and allowed himself a faint smile.
"I gathered that much," he agreed. "So ... Serenity ... and Skye ... Elnara has two children? Both adopted?"
He mulled over that for a brief moment. Interesting.

Donovan chuckled a bit darkly wondering if he could claim Celebor biological? No.... Triton and Yue both would hit him, just on principle of the point.
"Adopted six," he told Elrohir, "Just as warning."
Whether the man believed that all six were adopted was his problem.

Triton rolled his eyes at Donovan, go figure the man would love to be the first to drop the bombshell.
"What Donovan said," he recited from the top of his head, which wasn't hard seeing as he had a lot of siblings anyways, "There is Celebor, Skye, Serenity, Storm, Starr and Idhril..."
Who isn't born yet, but Triton figured that she would be born soon, so it wouldn't matter.

Elrohir's eyes grew wide in shock, and his jaw dropped.
"Er," he murmured once he found his voice back again, "Serenity's human ... Skye, you said, is an angel ... what race are the others?"
He was wondering now, how much of an influence Kara'd had on his sister. As he recalled, she had had her own family of various races.

"Another two are angels, and another two are elves," Donovan replied, "They're all of the Seconds though," he added as afterthought.
He knew that was going to happen, it found it kind of funny. Why the hell not? After all he had to deal with a lot of children on a regular basis and technically Kara adopted Elnara!

Triton shot Donovan a look that asked if the elder man minded. Honestly, Donovan was enjoying this far too much, at least no one mentioned about Elnara's adoption.
He coughed a bit, "Ah yes... the other angels are Starr and Storm, and the elven children are Celebor and Idhril."
