Moving on...
I've finished King Dork by Frank Portman and Deadline by Chris Crutcher. I'm currently reading V for Vendetta by Alan Moore, and still reading Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon. 3nodding
King Dork was not really good, and Deadline was okay, but V for Vendetta is pretty awesome. Read it now! scream

I finished reading Sylvia by Bryce Courtenay a few minutes ago, and I would recommend it to most people, especially atheists, agnostics and Christians.

I've gotta reread A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels before I start it though.

I just finished reading The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie. It's a pretty quick read but I liked it, especially the drawings/cartoon thingys.
Still. Reading. Drums of Autumn. For some reason I'm having a hard time getting through it. I'm on page 758 out of 1070, so I'm gettin' there.
I'm having to read Emma for my English class, but just the first 5 chapters. I'm going to finish it though because I don't start a book and not finish it. [Except for Gone With the Wind. That book sucked] And we're also going to be reading Lord of the Flies. Good classic literature.

I'm reading Autobiography of a Face by Lucy Grealy(for school) and Catcher in the Rye A movie? Oh wow wonderful! It should be a splendid movie, provided that they stick to the book. 3nodding
Ah, so...
I finally finished Drums of Autumn! Yay! So now I'm working on the next book in the series: The Fiery Cross which is, unfortunately, much longer. [1443 pages gonk ]
I am rereading The Gemma Doyle Trilogy as I was hoping to. I've reread A Great and Terrible Beauty and am currently rereading Rebel Angels.
And perhaps I'm feeling a little ambitious, because I've also started Victor Hugo's Les Miserables. I'm on page 28 out of 1463. Woohoo!
Poor Atlas Shrugged, I haven't picked that thing up in ages. I'll finish it one day...perhaps when I'm retired and much more suited to take on a book of such magnitude.
Guess I've got enough to keep me busy for the rest of the summer. 3nodding
Oh, I did read another book right before school ended [which I neglected to mention since I read it in two days] called The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian by Sherman Alexie. Despite flying through it, I though it was a very good book and I would highly recommend it.

I have read the first couple of chapters of The Pelican Brief by John Grisham. So far it is very interesting. Targeted more toward adults, but as a teenager I am enjoying it so far.

I am currently making my way through Victor Hugo's the Hunchback of Notre Dame. A bit of a classic, and kind of hard; but I intend to persevere.

So I have at last finished that monstrosity that is Diana Gabaldon's The Fiery Cross. It was not difficult to read, but the sheer scope slowed me down considerably. [1443 pages is no light read]
I am on to the sixth book in the series: A Breath of Snow and Ashes. As far as I knew this was the last book in the series, but on September 22 another one came out: An Echo in the Bone. Supposedly this is the last in the series.
Unfortunately, A Breath of Snow and Ashes is but 4 pages shorter than The Fiery Cross. gonk I will be at it a while...
Meanwhile, for book club I am reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and Whale Talk by Chris Crutcher [again]. I am also reading Alan Moore's acclaimed Watchmen, which is absolutely fabulous.
All of which I am reading at the moment I would highly recommend to anyone. Especially Diana's books... but you've got to be seriously dedicated to the series. Not something you can jump into and finish quickly.
Some books on my want to read list...
The House of the Scorpion - Nancy Farmer
Wintergirls - Laurie Halse Anderson
The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins
