"Oh, it's fine..." Tori smiled softly, leaning over to hug Jizzy. "You do the best you can, ne?"
"Tori takes me out to his cabin sometimes...I have lots of siblings there..." Wycliff nodded, smiling up at Dei. "None here, though...Copey is the closest, he's my friend..."
"Ahh..." Wycliff blinked several times, smirking softly. "That's nice...is it yours?"

The hug made Jizzy feel a lot better. SHe grinned softly. "Yah, I try." SHe said, looking up and hugging Tori back. He was just comforting, she couldn't place why, but he was.
"Copey, eh? WHat's he like?" Deimos asked curiously. He knew quite well what his own brother was like, but he wanted to know if there were all like that.
Tal burbled happily and pulled Baba to him once more. "Baba.. mmmmmm..mm.." He gave up trying to say the word mine.

"And you do a wonderful job!" Tori said, nodding happily. "You are one of the most amazing people I have ever met..."
"Copey is my friend!" Wycliff said, giggling softly. "He's poofy and white..."

Near the Balcony
Haze wheeled Retta's stroller towards the Balcony feeling pleased her charge's room was so close to it. Heights reminded her of Silar and felt oddly homesick. But she still hadn't forgiven Arson, and wasn't about to let him off so easy.
Retta was gnawing on one end of the sky beanie Haze bought for her. Upon seeing the real sky looming over the balcony, the Mishap clung tightly to her toy, fearing it would escape and go back up there.

Reid bounced along happily atop his mother's shoulders, chatting happily with the floating Ave, two of four arms clutching his newest dragon plush, pinning it against Chao's hair.
Chao sighed and shifted her head against the unwelcome weight on her head, "owo, Reid, don't press so hard, 'kay?" grey eyes peered up as far as they could in an attempt to catch sight of her son leaning over her head. After a moment the weight subsided and Chao sighed in relief, stepping out onto the balcony.
"Ra?" Reid chirped with a tilt of his head as two new figures came into view, already looking up at the sky, "'lo!" he called in greeting.

Haze glanced back upon hearing voices, a little irritated at being disturbed. This is what happens when one doesn't like in an exclusive location. Everyone could go in.
"Hello," she responded in a neutral tone. She recognized them from the party Rabid had held, and felt a little miffed at the memory. She didn't quite enjoy herself there. "Are you here for some fresh air?"
Retta couldn't see very well, but she tried her best to check who it was that approached them. She still clung to the beanie tightly.

"Oh, yes, just hoping to get some fresh air that isn't frigid..." back at their home it was mid-winter and freezing, the grounds were more than a refreshing change to the near zero temperatures.
"But... um, I don't believe we've met," she presented a hand and Reid took the oppertunity to hop off her shoulders and glide down to the ground, "I'm Chao and this is my son Reid," she glanced down to the stroller and smiled at the little girl there, "is this your daughter?"
Reid managed a fairly decent landing, only stumbling a little as his bare feet met the ground. Rebalancing and clutching his dragon plush with two arms as he wandered over to the stroller.
"Lo?" he called again, peeking around the side then brightened as he caught sight of the small strapped into the stroller, clutching another plush, "lo lil'!" he greeted, glad to be meeting someone new and around his size.

Haze winced when Chao mentioned the word "daughter", she so disliked calling Retta anything that involved a maternal title. She would have to educate Retta in the difference of being a mother and being a guardian if nearly everyone here automatically assumed parenthood.
"I'm Haze Wyndre, and this is my charge Kalderetta Tazza Wyndre. Although it's best that she be addressed as Retta until she is older." Haze responded as she accepted the proffered hand.
Retta was a bit apprehensive of how close Reid was, and she didn't quite take to him. But when she noticed what he held in his arms, she thought he wouldn't be so bad. Despite how he seemed related to those winged things that ate clothes in the closets, if he had a plush that resembled Poe, he couldn't be all bad.
She bleated softly, chewing on one end of her beanie. She had yet to speak, but at least she was capable of making sounds.

At the careful emphasis on 'charge' Chao nearly raised an eyebrow and just barely kept a mask of warm neutraluty on. She'd never actually encountered someone who didn't feel that their charges were on par with anything blood related. That was going to cause complications for the poor sheep girl....
"It's nice to meet you Haze and Kalderetta," she smiled at the little girl in the stroller yet again, watching as Reid interacted and testing out the name herself, "I think I can see why you shortened her name for now, long name for such a small mouth to form."
Reid's wings flickered at the bleat and his eyes widened in excitement, he'd never heard something like that before!
Sitting down in front of Retta he watched her for a moment before making an avid attempt of a bleat. It wasn't great, nor exact, but for a first time it wasn't so bad. He smiled happily at Retta and did it again.

"My family just believes that a juvenile isn't ready for the responsibilities their name entails until they've grown older, hence the sobriquet." Haze shrugged, it didn't matter whether Retta's name was long or short. Until she found the mishap was competent enough to uphold the honor of the Wyndre name, she'd remain Retta until then.
Retta blinked, it was the first time anyone had attempted to mimic her. She kind of liked it and bleated again, her ears wiggling in curiosity and delight. With one hand she gestured to the dragon, wondering why it wasn't moving like Poe was.

Chao did raise an eyebrow then and leant against the nearby railing, unable not to make the connection between this woman's attitude and the politicans, hell the general populous of 'home'. The relation made her skin crawl, though she hid it well.
"Oh...."
Glad the sheep girl thought his bleating decent Reid responded in kind with yet another bleat, torso glowing warmly.
At her gesture to the dragon Reid glanced at it, did Retta want to play with him? With a tilt of his head Reid acted out the plush climbing up and over his own knees, grumbling and huffing in a way very Similar to Shashi when she climbed stairs, up the stroller to settle in Retta's lap.

((Haze: Oh sure, make certain everyone will dislike me... stare O_O But, but that's your character! DX))
"I suppose there are just many dissimilarities between my home and Gaia." Haze had experienced negative reactions whenever she mentioned the need for sobriquets to others, especially to those from Gaia. It wasn't an excuse, just an explanation. She wanted people to realize it was normal in the circles of Virall nobility, but she doubted they'd understand.
Retta gurgled at the glow of Reid's torso. Shiney! Haze had a lot of shiney things in the other room, but she didn't let her touch them. Retta understood that it wasn't hers, so she let them be. For the time being.
Her attention was drawn to the dragon plush this time, giggling at the silly way it moved. She tentatively stroked the plush once it reached her lap, her tail swishing from side-to-side.
The Mishap nudged it with her beanie, as if offering it to 'fly' in the little bit of sky she held.

Chao managed a slight smile of sympathy. Culture clash huh? Well, she was familar with that at least.
"Gaia's a fairly unique place I think, sometimes I forget how many other cultures are actually at work here, nearly everyone comes from somewhere else. If you don't mind me asking, where's your native home?"
Reid rumbled back in his throat to simulate the plush purring at Retta's touch and wagged it's fuzzy blue tail.
Catching on to what the other Mishap wanted Reid shifted back to standing and mimiced the dragon plush flying next to Retta's beanie.

"I came from Scardane, capital city of Virall in Silar." Haze had to remind herself to add in Silar, since it seemed no one but Huni knew of the other world.
"Are you a native to Gaia or are you from elsewhere?" She didn't think it rude to ask the younger girl since she had answered the same question.
Retta was beginning to like Reid. He was far smarter than Haze was since he seemed to understand what she wanted. But then again, Haze was the one feeding her and buying her all the things in her room. She had heard Haze mention something about buying clothes soon, whatever clothes were.
The infant made her first attempt at making a sound other than bleating. The odd rumbling Reid made was intriguing and Retta wondered if she was capable of doing the same. The purr came out as a low bleat, though it did have the hard "R" sound.
She giggled, finding that it wasn't as good as Reid's, but then again, his bleat wasn't as good as hers. So they were even.

The name Silar sounded... sort of familar. Maybe she'd glanced at it on a map once.
"Elsewhere... a bunch of elsewheres actually, my family is sortof nomatic," it was a half truth, she was from one elsewhere, her biological 'family' had firmly settled in one world, but they didn't count anyway and she had no desire to mention them.
Reid grinned at Retta's attempt at purring, clapping two hands together in encouragement.
"Good 'lil!"
"Retta," Chao said, supplying the name so Reid wouldn't have to keep calling her "lil'.
With a tilt of his head Reid "Ret~ta," he repeated, tasting the name. "Lil 'Ta?" he questioned after a moment, shortening the girl's name even more. Nevermind the fact that she wasn't much smaller than he was, he liked the way the name sounded like this.
