((Ummmmmm...))
Amleth stared at this new Lok. He was so... normal. The sheer lack of strangeness about him made this man seem like the oddest thing the pig had ever seen. It had never even occurred to him that there could be an entirely different-looking person inside the Wolf he'd always known.
Neils was still mumbling to himself, but flinched when Dash snapped at him. The older pig gritted his teeth and jumped up. "I know something's wrong! You think I didn't notice? There was a Wolf in my house! MY house, I NOTICED that, okay?" He shuddered. "Nothin' like that's ever happened before... It's... it..."
"It's not in the story," Amleth put in. Neils looked at him. "You've never had anything happen to you outside of the story, Neils. When you go against the grain, things that you never experienced before happen. All the time."
His brother twitched. "Christ." He rubbed his head. "Never even... I don't get it. I don't see how things that... things you don't expect... can just happen. Don't make sense to me." Amleth realized his brother had never experienced fear before. He wondered if it was even worse than being as used to fear as he was. Neils shuddered. "Don't see why you want it," he muttered. "It's... that's awful. I can't deal with that."
Something occurred to Amleth; if both he and Lok had abandoned the story, was Neils forced to as well? After all, he couldn't very well uphold the whole plot by himself. It didn't seem entirely fair.
Amleth's attention was brought away from his brother when Lok addressed him gruffly, in what perhaps was some form of compliment. Startled, Amleth gave the former Wolf a small smile, before he was suddenly reminded of how scared he'd been. The fat man's knees suddenly buckled, and he fell on his bum, shuddering. Dear God, he realized, being brave is horrifying.
"After happily ever after?" he mumbled to himself. It was sort of impossible to figure out. Happily Ever After was different for everyone. His own was here, in this house. Sally's was likely the walk back home from her Grandmother's house. He'd always imagined the Happily Ever After for princes was their wedding bed, after rescuing a princess, but according to Dash there was no such experience. The only other place he could think of, then, was when the hero walks off into the sunset, looking all heroic and whatnot.
"Other side of the horizon," the pig muttered. Fat load of help that was.
((Hahahahaahahahahahahahaha I don't know.))

((Hahaha I really should be studying for Physics and Algebra 2 test tomorrow. But whatever man. It's THURSDAY! And thursday...is a special...day...oh yes...yes it is!))
Bedelia gave the creature a coy smile as he looked at her. In those lemon yellow eyes she could see the complete hate towards the people in the house, the loathing and humiliation. It only made her smile bigger, eyes sparkle with amusement as she saw him obey her words.
It was all too perfect. "Ah. We make the perfect team don't we?" She spoke to him, though ended up being herself. She started off into the woods, the wolf at her side and then ahead of her, bounding off into the darkness. It was alright though, she had him now. A dog was always loyal to its alpha. She was the alpha now.
"There's a place I enjoy for the most part. A story that has no meaning to anyone but myself, Wolf." She called into the forest. Her voice holding tones that he'd understand she was calling to him to follow her. "It gets really cold. But the prince, the pigs, and that retched girl have no powers in there. The only one who does is myself. Oh and you'll have six children and a lion to eat too, fill up that empty stomach of yours." She gave a loud cackly and when the wolf came to her side, they both vanished, shadows swirling around them, a few snowflakes escaping the other side and melting onto the ground where they once stood.
((Hopefully you guys understand where they went...hahaha...))
Sally continued to sniffle and cry as the others talked. Her fear still tore at her heart like needles and she still wanted to vomit food that no longer was in her stomach. Leaning against the wall she held her stomach gingerly and listened to the men talk. A small smile spread on her face when Lok said he wasn't quitting and somehow this whole thing felt better.
Leaning over she picked up her basket. "This morning...I bought some clothes for us all." Well now was the best time wasn't it? One of them was lacking in the clothes department. "Here." She took out a pair of baggy brown shorts and threw them to Lok as well as a shirt. "I even bought some for myself. That way I can do all those guy things, you know, climb trees, beat up trolls." Her eyes lit up slightly as she quickly pulled on some jeans of her own. They were loose at her hips, but still held up and suddenly seemed to emphasize her curved legs. "And look at this shirt! It's so cool!" Though many would call it opposite, seeing as how it was a simple forest green tank-top. Without word she stripped off her dress, only her sports bra on her freckled torso. The tank-top was slipped back over her top.
She was a slightly younger version of Laura Croft. And with freckles everywhere. Not that anyone had ever heard of her. But stories come in all kinds.
"Beyond Happily Ever After," she repeated, brown eyes glazed with her sick stomach and burning chest, "We'll be able to be who ever we want to be! I can get married to some amazing guy and then have beautiful babies. I'll name them Harry and Agnus. And we'll all live together in a HUGE house! And have lots of puppies and dogs." There was some sort of depression in this group, and she wanted it gone. "And we'll grow old together...we'll grow..."
Finally she slid to the ground and tilted her head back, closing her eyes in exhaustion. "Our children will grow old together with their husbands and wives...and then their children will...and their children's children..." Her soft, sing-song voice drifted off as her body shut down, a tear dripping down her cheek. "We'll be happy." Her body went limp and her head fell down, chin tucked against her chest and her mouth propped open slightly.
((Hahaha I dunno what to do! She sleeps! There!))

((Haha and I should really be sleeping. OH WELL.))
Percy was busy trying to calm himself down. He really had blown up at Amleth's brother, and that was totally unnecessary. The Prince was even going to apologize, but Lok spoke up. He'd answered his question, and beautifully.
"I could kiss you," he said happily, hopping to his feet. "We have to go PAST the end! After the never-ending stories loop back 'round. We just gotta hop right on OUT of them..." he held his hands out, as it it all just fell together, and it was something big to display. "After the end, we're free to make anything we want."
And well, thinking that probably a kiss wouldn't be so great, he instead strode over and gave Lok a big bear-hug, the sort that most of the girls would DIE for. Pity it was Lok. "Alright, so let's gather ourselves... And get to it. From what I can tell, the older the stories, the further uhh, out they are, if that makes sense." he was pacing now, uninjured hand running through his hair as he expressed his thoughts out loud. "But what's after that? No one's left their stories... They probably simply don't KNOW... And they don't know they don't know. Who's to say there IS nothing after stories, huh? I say we go find out."
Ahh, he'd gone on a speech again. Blast. Oh well. Time to sit down, take a few breaths, and let things sink in. Oh, and Red had bought clothes? "Is that where my gold went?" He gave a laugh, he didn't mind. That bag seemed to fill itself anyway. "I'll bet Lok's happy." He was curious though... Had she gotten something for EVERYONE?
"...Other side of the horizon?" He looked over to Amleth, eyebrow raised. Just WHAT was going through the pigman's head? "And Nelis... It's not awful... It's just..." what was the word he was looking for? "Refreshing. The monotony was devistating... When you start realizing it... It... It makes you want to go mad." Yeah, mad. You've been talking to yourself too much, Dash. Too too much. right. Okay. So, on with things.
"I don't hear anything outside anymore." Percy frowned. Wouldn't the Wolf normally go prowling around, hoping for the rogue pig to peek out the door a little too far? Something was off about that. And it made his injured hand twinge. "...How's your mouth, Lok?" Odd question, but he'd figured that if his hand had been hurt... Well, hadn't Lok grabbed the magic in between his teeth?

Lok had indeed been very grateful for the clothes. He even spared Sally a bit of a smile, though it looked more like he was baring his teeth. Crouching down into a painful sort of kneel he struggled to get into his new founded pants without exposing himself. Once was enough for one day. With a grunt and a quick show of standing Sally's and Percy's cloaks slid from his shoulders and he then struggled with the button.
He glanced a little at Amleth as he spoke. He frowned. It made him worry a little that he vaguely understood what the pig was trying to say. He really was human now, he thought with the mild edge of disgust. His fingers finally managed to fasten the button on his pants and he stooped to pick up his shirt.... a shirt? He'd never worn a shirt.
"You might have something there, pig..." He remarked in an unkind voice. "But then again... you're you... so maybe this is just shock talking."
He frowned at the fabric of his shirt again and cautiously slid an arm in, but was quite distracted with what Percy said. "... Please. Don't." He replied in a grumbling voice from somewhere within the shirt's fabric. He was lost somewhere between the sleeve and the collar, one arm flailing through the same hole he was trying to get his head.
He took a seat and continued to struggle. Distantly he heard Sally speaking about growing old and naming her children. He wrinkled his nose. "... I hope your kids slap you when you name them that." Was his only reply, trying to avoid the feeling it brought of being beyond a happily ever after... what would he do? All he'd ever really wanted was to be left alone... but was that what he really wanted-
"WHAT THE HELL!?" Lok exclaimed suddenly as Percy gave him a big bear hug. He had just managed to manuver his head into the right hole as well as one arm and he squirmed at the sudden hug. "Princy you great FLAMING BALL OF HOMOSEXUAL FEELINGS!" He glared as he was released and slid his other arm into the right sleeve. He patted him rather awkwardly on the back as he left. "Good grief... BELIEVE ME! I'm ESTATIC you're exctied... but PLEASE refrain."
He scowled a little and dusted off his shoulders. "We should definitely just GO now." He said aloud, but glanced back at Sally who was sleeping. "... Or maybe we should stay put." He said instead. He looked to the red cloak beneath him and quietly and quite nonchallantly he tossed it over her. It draped over her oddly like a blanket. He gave a snort.
"Maybe we should just ditch her." He said under his breath in a mean voice that anyone could have pointed out was a half hearted attempt. He traced his way back to Percy's cloak and returned it to him and frowned at his question about his mouth. He rolled his tongue around and squinted.
"It's burnt." He said flatly. "And it's black." He opened his mouth, a mouth quite full of dull human teeth, and it was indeed quite black. "I think..." He said and shrugged. "What's it matter? We need to plan where we move next..." He tossed a look at Sally. "Maybe after a break."

Amleth balked at Sally's mention of new outfits. "Anh?! Y-you didn't have to get me anything, I really didn't need it, I mean, I appreciate the thought but the clothes I have really work fine and I don't really need new ones even if thes're kind of old they still keep me covered and stuff and oh man Dash I'm sorry because that was your money and I'm sorry that it got used on me because you really shouldn't have had to-"
Neils smacked his brother upside the head. "Take the stupid outfit, Am," he growled, before plopping down on a couch, grumbling to himself about unfamiliarities and expectations and suchlike. Amleth bit his lip a little. Well, it wasn't like they could return any of it now, anyway; they were quite the distance from the town by now, and so it didn't matter in the end.
As Lok struggled with his shirt, the pig watched in bewildered amusement. He couldn't help but let out a small laugh; the person he'd always feared so deeply was now so... so... he couldn't find a proper word for it. He was tempted by 'harmless,' but realized that with Lok, that could be a dangerous assumption.
Neils leapt up as Dash gladly embraced Lok, scowling deeply. "OY! None of that! There's no fagging out in this house, you got that? That's not changing!" He waggled a warning finger. "You wait 'til you're nice and far off before you start any of that gay crap!"
He then sighed as the Prince tried once more to explain their need to change. "You keep sayin' that, Princey. That's great, if it works for you an' all, but I just can't do that. Doesn't make sense to me. Not knowin' what's gonna happen, and all that... anythin' goes, and all? I could've died. Y'all could've. Don't see why you want that."
Amleth sighed. His brother had never had a problem with life inside their story; everything had gone well for him, and he'd always liked every moment of it. There was no reason for hiim to want to change.
The younger pig jumped as Dash noted the distinct lack of massive, hungry beasts prowling around the outside. Amleth blinked and moved to look out a window himself. Indeed, no living creature was in sight. He frowned. "That doesn't make sense," he said. "He always lurks around for a while. He wouldn't just leave."
His brother shrugged. "Maybe we killed his ego so bad he ran off faster'n usual. He always goes of eventually, isn't that right, dogboy?" Amleth started to protest, but the older Pigman had already turned to the sleeping Sally. "You'll be wanting beds, I assume. Big day for you crazy types. There're some guest rooms upstairs, I'll show ya. C'mon. And you," he added, pointing at Dash. "If I have any reason to think you're fagging out, I'll burn your bedsheets tomorrow, got it?"
Amleth frowned. Something wasn't right. The Wolf's departure felt incredibly out of place, and it left a heavy feeling of foreboding gathering in his gut. But, the fact was, there wasn't a lot they could do about it; it had been a very, very long day, and perhaps they could find their Happily Ever After in the morning.
((THAR. Approximately the same thing as what I tried to post before.
And, uh, I swear, it's just Neils being the homophobe, not me. >.<''))

It was dark and empty. The darkness didn't bother Sally as much as the emptiness did. It seemed that she was the only living soul. There were no sounds, the only thing she could hear was her shallow breathing and the patter of her bare feet against cool, black floor. The floor beneath her was solid, yet rippled whenever she took a step, sending waves out in a circle into the vast distance. Even the air was cool, almost suffocating in the dark surroundings.
Only after an earth shattering howl did Sally jump and start to panic. The sound sent vibrations through her feet and up to the tips of her ears. Something burned and stung on the right side of her face. Her eyes narrowed in pain and her chest lurched in nausea. Falling to the ground another howl was heard, this time accompanied by a smooth, frightening laugh. She gagged. Her throat was sore and hot from the bile that settled in the back. She wanted to throw up, but it wouldn't come. Instead of waiting, she jumped up and began to run. With each leap and bound she heard echoes of those patters behind her, but in a much louder, boisterous way than her own soft, gentle ones. She was sure the right side of her face was melting off, the heat and sting was so extreme it felt as if fire and acid were boring onto her cheek and forehead.
Up ahead was a bright light and she ran to it. She wanted out of the darkness. It made her sick and empty. As the light got closer, so did her pain, to the point she gasped, the scream unable to escape her clenched throat. In the last few leaps she was hunched over into a straight out sprawl for the light ahead.
Once she got inside the bright light her eyes were met with her own reflection in a large mirror. Although she felt her face in a frown and tears streaming down her cheeks, the other Sally smiled in an odd, bottomless way that didn't quite reach her eyes. One thing that matched was the pain, now she knew where it came from. Three large and deep scratches spread from her scalp and to her cheek. They were rigged and healed, but still looked painful. Sally reached her fingers to her cheek and felt the sickeningly rough scars under the tips of her fingers. She wanted to throw up again.
The reflection cackled silently and moved in closer. Sally felt her feet draw her to the mirror, hands outstretched in a hopeless manner, muttering prayers to herself. 'I want to go home. I want to see Grandma. I hate them. I hate them...why'd I leave? I was fine there. It was MY story!' Hate filled her chest, calming the loneliness and fear. When her fingers touched the glass they were met with another pair. She felt the need to grab the matching hands, both sets of fingers lacing together. Blood dripped off her reflection's hands, smearing it onto her own. Finally she let the other Sally pull her into the liquid glass.
Just as she was almost enveloped into the mirror she saw two reflections behind her. A pair of yellow eyes glowed in the darkness, sharp yellow and red teeth spread in a monstrous smile. That wasn't the scariest part, it was who was next to the giant beast. Violet eyes in a white face, her smile motherly and frighteningly kind. The second before she was full into the mirror, her own face replaced that beautifully dark one.
She screamed, for only a split second until she was fully into the mirror and her scream bounced off glass and hit her straight on like a punch.
((Hahaha in case any of you are SERIOUSLY that slow...she was dreaming. I think she'd stay asleep for more than just a few minutes. XD ))

((OKAY. As promised. <3))
"Aww, you know, that hurts, Lok." Percy said with a faux note of hurt in his voice. He was grinning though. It wasn't every day you decided to leave and go beyond the happily ever after. Maybe if he DID find a girl worth marrying, it WOULD end in the wedding bed, not riding off into the sunset, maiden perched lightly in front of him, both sitting in Desdamona's saddle as they rode away, only to start the story anew.
He then glanced over at Amleth and gave a bright laugh, one that was almost as enchanting and catchy as Red's. "That money's always there," He held up the purse of sorts, which was indeed, again full of coins. "Comes with the role, I suppose. So don't worry about it. I should be worried about probably being the single leading cause of inflation." He had to laugh, mostly because he didn't understand what he'd just said.
Upon hearing Neils' comments, Percy simply winked and grinned at the pig-man. Oh gods, he hadn't felt so happy in a very, very long time. Things had just weighed down so much on him that it was hard to be his bright, charming self. Even his inner monologue taht seemed to argue with him constantly had quieted down to a murmur in the back of his head. "Ah, sleep would be good. Sally has the right idea, methinks." Dash nodded.
"And don't you worry my friend, you'll have no need to burn any bedsheets," Dash frowned. Neils was a strange one, that was for sure.
Lightly gathering the sleeping Red into his arms, he nodded for Neils to lead them up to the guest rooms, which turned out to be FAR nicer than the one they'd slept in at the Inn. Well kept and fresh, the rooms were lit warmly with the dying sunlight, dust motes shining in the way you would only see on a lazy summer evening. It felt like a good home.
The Prince lightly placed Sally in one of the beds, suddenly feeling quite tired himself. His hand still hurt - its state hadn't changed a bit, and he was just now starting to realize how much of a problem getting a new sword might be. The one he'd had was the one he carried from the beginning... And no stories he could think of held a sword of similar properties. But alas, that was something that would have to wait until at least morning. Perhaps the others, Lok in particular, since he was also in so many stories, would know of somewhere to get one.
Pushing his thoughts aside, the man chose his own bed, gratefully thanking Neils for his hospitality, and offering a few gold coins in compensation for his troubles. "We'll leave just after dawn I suppose then. And travel to as far as any of our stories can take us... After that, well, we'll have to see. Hopefully we won't run into the Sorceress or-" he cut himself off. Lok's wolf form had disappeared quite quickly, and he wasn't beyond thinking that the icy woman had perhaps taken him along.
And one of the more frightening thoughts to cross his mind was the simple fact that they'd have to travel through Narnia very, very soon.
((Nanaaaa! Whoever posts next, feel FREE to make it morning... My head's all groggy from lack of sleepings, so this is as far as I'm gonna make it. XD *Falls asleep at the computer*))

((OKAY! I have the time now, so sit back, suckas... cos this Aka is gonna post...!))
Lok had looked mildly offended as Neils adressed him as dog boy, but otherwise couldn't find the energy to be hateful after his little expierence. He frowned at him instead and shrugged.
They were then directed to some rooms, and told quite clearly not to 'f** out'. Lok let loose a bark of wild laughter and gripped at his sides. Oddly, this little homophobic remark he had found entirely hysterical. He tossed Percy a look and let out another peal of raucous laughter.
"You're alright, Neils." He said still chucking. "You're alright."
When they arrived at the room Lok drifted inside feeling completely alien. He'd never been this far in the house, much less this long. He wasn't sure if he felt comfortable in such a warm place, safe... or just on edge. He watched raptly as Percy lay Sally in a bed covered in a large quilt. He narrowed his eyes at her form and then glanced at Percy with an almost accusing look.
With a slight scowl on his face he strode over to her bed and gently eased her under the quilt. He stood back looking satisfied and wearing a gruffer expression as though to make up for such a tender action of tucking a little girl in.
Percy was speaking. Lok finished his sentence without a hitch: "Or myself." He put in after The Sorceress.
Lok then looked about the room at the beds that were available to him. Maybe being human now would make those things more comfortable. He wrinkled his nose and purposefull picked one quite a ways away from Percy, and made a show of doing so just for Neils.
Laying down he shut his eyes as the pig man left and Amleth picked out a bed of his own.
"Tomorrow then." Was his bid goodight, and he waited for sleep to take him.
((AND THEN YES! *parties*))

((Sorry Bob...but I'm gonna go ahead and post. *cringes and slinks away*))
Sally's dreams were consumed of the same terrifying one over and over or complete darkness. The usual pictures of deer and birds and flowers had disappeared underneath her intense fears and worries that everything would go wrong. Subconsciously she was sure someone would get hurt more than they already had, maybe even drastically. She didn't want any of her new friends and especially her best friend to be hurt. Honestly, she didn't want to be hurt either...and she was hurting...badly.
Finally morning came again, after what seemed like ages. She heard birds chirping outside and the soft warmth of the sunlight hitting her pink cheeks. She was home again, in her quaint house, and she'd wake up and walk outside to Grandmother's, save her, and it'd repeat again. She'd wake up to no pain, no worries, and no fear. She'd be in a familiar place, and know that no matter what she did, how naive she got, she'd turn out fine, perfect, and happy in the end.
A smile spread on her face and she opened her eyes to stare at an unfamiliar ceiling. Suddenly her heart stopped and she froze. She had been captured, that witch had taken her. She was sure she felt intense hate in her heart, nothing more than hate and rage. Soon enough she moved her head and saw her friends, the hate went away. Maybe she wasn't home, but it felt like home as long as they were there. Right?
"Right." She whispered and eased out of bed. Watching her friends sleep she felt more at ease. They all looked somehow peaceful, even the least peaceful of them all slept so...cutely. She couldn't help but giggle and walk over to him just to watch him sleep. She wasn't used to seeing him vulnerable, at ease, and well...asleep. "I wish you knew the things you can be..." she said softly before looking over to Dash and Amleth with the same grin. "Rest some more..." She then walked out of the room and tip-toed to the door.
After she was outside she took a long breath of fresh air and listened to the birds chirping. She wasn't home, but she was in a place she could relax. It wasn't long until a couple birds flew over to her and sung on her held out arms. Her eyes sparkled happily as the twittered and looked at her. "Why can't every day be today?" She asked them. They only answered with another song and she started to whistle with them as well. Even when she sat down in the middle of the field the birds stayed perched on her arms and hand. Soon even a small fawn walked close to her and seemed to want to comfort her.
'Everything will turn out okay,' it said, Sally was sure she heard it's gentle voice, 'You and your friends will be happy.'
"I hope you're right..."
((Hahaha awwww...thought she'd let her guard down a bit...wheee animals! Reminds me of Cinderella...when she's singing and all those birds come in and stuff...yeah...))

((RAWR. My school's doing a big deal about kids who die in drunk-driving related accidents. We even saw a live-action simulation, with kids in our school dying and crap. Don't drink and drive guys. IT'S REALLY DEPRESSING.))
Amleth had always slept in the guest room alone before, sleeping the night while they waited for the Wolf, with his boiled bum and endangered ego, to stop prowling the outskirts. Now, not only did he share this room, but he shared it with the same Wolf; or, at least, half of him.
Ugh, this was all so confusing. He needed to stop thinking about it so much. It was a pain, and his brain was getting tired from all this weirdness going on around them. What he needed now was to sleep, give his brain a break, so it would be ready for whatever new weirdness occurred in the morning.
Closing his eyes, he listened to the unfamiliar sounds of other people around him, until he was lulled into an exhausted sleep.
~~~
Amleth had never been much of one for dreams. After all the work he did during the day, he was usually too spent for energy to use what little he had left on nonsensical, wild stories in his sleep. He needed his bedtime to restore his energy, and had no time for other such business. Therefore, he was more or less accostomed to waking up from a perfectly dark night with no memories of what occured between the closing and opening of his eyes.
Last night, however, was riddled with dark, drooling, fanged shadows lurking just out of his range of vision, cold purple eyes, and houses crumbling to nothing in the wind. Of course, by the time he'd awakened in a light sweat, these images had fled from his memory, leaving him only with a horrible notion of foreboding and danger.
Trembling, he got up from his bed, and gave a tiny squeak when he saw two men sharing the room with him. Right, he reminded himself. I'm with others now. I'm not alone. He took a deep breath and slunk from the room.
He set about making breakfast, boiling eggs and preparing pancakes. He realized Lok would probably be dissapointed at the sheer lack of meat in the meal, but that was something the ex-wolf would have to deal with in this house.
Neils soon wandered down from his own room, and sat down at the kitchen table. "Morn'n, bro. Sleep well?"
Amleth made an indistinguished noise.
"I figured." Neils sighed and sniffed at the air. "Smells good. Ye've always been a good cook, Am. It's one of those talents you always say you don't have."
The younger brother frowned and flipped a pancake.
Neils shrugged. "Yaknow, I always sorta thought you were just a whiny kid, right? Never got the whole point about you bein' scared or anything. Didn't see a reason for it." The elder pig glanced to the fireplace. "But, well... after all that business yesterday... It's pretty impressive to see how you even survived all that crap, let alone, y'know... got brave afterwards."
"I'm not brave."
"Bullcrap. You handled that furball, Am. You've got balls if I've ever seen 'em." He paused. "In a totally not gay way." Amleth restrained a smirk. "But anyway, bro," Neils went on quickly, "I mean, I know it's scary and all that. Way scary. I'm scared for you."
"That... is that supposed to make me feel better?"
Neils laughed. "Naw, guess not. But, I mean, I just wanna remind you. If you get too scared again. Just sing that stupid old song we used to do. Remember?"
Amleth smiled. "It was an awful song."
"It should help, though." Amleth didn't say anything to that. His brother shrugged. "Just an idea." A pause fell between them. "Did Princey do any faggy stuff up there?"
"Don't think so."
"Good, good. Well. I'll let you finish up breakfast, then, huh?"
"Okay."
"Right. See you in a few." He waddled from the room.
"Right." Amleth cracked an egg over the skillet, thinking about the conversation. Did he really think he could stand up to the Wolf? To the Sorceress? Maybe... He sighed and flipped another pancake, and murmured the awfully lame song.
"Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf, the Big Bad Wolf, the Big Bad Wolf... Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf, Lala-lala la, la..."
Percival stirred only slightly when Red awoke, but didn't wake himself. After the previous night's ordeal, he had been thoroughly exhausted. The man hadn't slept like that, well, ever. Nor had he awoken to a NEW day. And so this one was a special one. He didn't wake before dawn, as was the norm. It wasn't until gentle sunlight streamed through the window and alighted on his face did he truely wake up, and he did with a smile.
The man's hair was mussed, his underclothes (A light, airy shirt and breeches that went just past his knees) wrinkled. A bit of a scruffy beard had started on his face, and when he sat up, he actually felt refreshed, renewed: as if it really WAS a new day he was entering. Despite all that, he of course still looked gorgeous in his princly way - the man sitting in that bed was the one that most women dreamed of waking up next to. The thought made him smile - He was currently alone, and until he found the woman HE wanted to wake up next to, he planned on it staying that way.
Birds were chirping merrily outside, and upon glancing out the window, Dash spotted Red just outside, conversing with the animals. A gentle smile crossed his scruffy face, and he finally hopped out of bed, stretching, and setting off downstairs, There, he found Amleth cooking, while Neils had just walked off. Dash padded down the last few steps, catching Amleth's muttered song. "Well, I don't suppose you'd be included in that category any longer, would you?" He asked brightly, peering over Amleth's shoulder to see what he was cooking. Eggs and pancakes, and he was quite sure he smelled toast somewhere. "Now this looks like an excellent breakfast. Shall I wake Lok? We should call Red in too."
((And taaah dah!))
((Hahaha, OKAY! I du et... then I FINISH MY ESSAY! OH YES!... and that'll be like most of my homework done O.O *is a lewser*))
Lok dreamt.
He'd never recall being so relaxed to do so before. In his sleep he frowned deeply, a confounded expression at how at rest he felt, at the vague pale colours that his dreams provided and the visions of comfort that came to him... things he never knew had put him at ease. They weren't flashes of violence, or dreams of hunting, but something else he'd never be able to describe
It was all so incredibly human; to dream.
His features relaxed when sunshine hit his eyelids and the dream vanished and with it the memory of it. Lok didn't seem too preturbed, he merely grumbled a sleepy sound and rolled over to be lazy a bit longer.
Though, there then came to his nose the smell of something he was sure he should DEFINITELY be eating right then. He slowly got into a sitting position, his nose sniffing at the air in a dog like way. His stomach growled loudly in approval of the breakfasty smell. He smacked his lips and eased himself from his bed with a wolfish smile. His predatory leer was much less menacing with his dull human teeth, but still fit his angled features.
In a moment he was in the kitchen, breezing passed Percy to peer over Amleth's shoulder. "What you make me, pig?" He demanded, but somehow sounded good natured about it. "I think I smell bacon." He joked. His dark eyes flashed as well as his teeth in his dark face.
He then quirked his mouth and looked to Percy. "Where's Sally?" He asked of him in an almost acusing tone, as though he was positive the Prince would know.
Lok scowled and glanced to the window. His shoulders relaxed. There she was. He rolled his eyes and scowled a little deeper.
"Runt." Was his remark on the matter and muttered something about stupid, cute little baby animals and if he were still the wolf he'd break up that disgusting Bambi scene in a horribly violent way.Bambi's mom's death would be dwarfed in comparison. ((...hahahahaha, what? XDDD))
"I'mma go get her." He slurred under his breath and kicked at the floor ambled out the door.
The dark man then made it to where Sally sat, skirting the edge of the scene with a little snarl on his face. He was silent for a brief moment to give her more time, but then in his rough voice he said: "You want breakfast or not, Princess of all animals retarded?"
((...hahaha thatpost SUCKS... *gets back to work*))
Sally leaned back slightly and brought the bird on her finger closer to her face. Its eyes looked into hers in confusion. She looked back, trying to discover the meaning of life. She was sure it was there. Somewhere in this small blue bird was the true meaning of why they all were here, why they were alive.
"Tell me Mr. Bird. Why am I living? What is my purpose in life?" She frowned when all it did was c**k his head, though she heard a faint whisper like the wind, but sweeter.
"That's for you to find out." She always heard their voices. Many people in town always said she was insane though. Fine with her, being insane made things more fun and enlightening. It was boring being sane. At least that's what it appeared like.
"What if I don't find out? What if I die before I fulfill my destiny?"
"When you die, that means you already did what you're here to do. Don't worry."
"If you say so...I mean...I guess you're right. If I died before I did what I had to do, that'd be a pointless life. Life can't be that depressing right?"
"Right. And anywa-" The bird looked startled and instantly flew off Sally's finger as the deer bounded back into the woods.
"Hey! Guys! I haven't found peace with myself yet!" She scrambled to her legs and was about to chase after them until she heard a voice behind her. Being in her dazed state of mind she squeaked and fell back down to the ground. Her large dough eyes looked up to see Lok and she furrowed her brows.
"Hey...you scared me." Her breath escaped her in a long, soft sigh. "I was just about to find out the purpose for being here...Oh well..." Without bothering to ask, she grabbed the now human man's hand and used him to help her stand up. "Princess? For some reason that sounds nice." She gave him a shrug and a giggle. "And you could be my prince. We'd make an odd couple wouldn't we?" Another laugh escaped her as she nudged his side playfully and looked over to the quaint house.
"Breakfast sounds nice. I threw up everything last night...hopefully it'll stay down." Her hands dusted off her baggy shorts and tank top before starting to walk to the house. "You look mighty studdly with your new clothes. Lok the studly stud man. Has a nice ring to it. Studdly stud." Her grin widened as she pranced into the house before he had a chance to knock her one.
"Goooood Morniiiinnnnggg Amleth!" She sung and hugged the pig man from behind. "And good morning to you too Dash!" She stood on her toes and kissed the prince on the cheek. "I feel like today will be lots of fun. Maybe we'll get to see something exciting. Smells good in here. Thanks for making breakfast, Best Friend." She slid into a seat at the table and began to crack her joints, including neck, back, and shoulders.
((Haha whatever...I couldn't think of much...))
