Hey, is 'spaz' an ok word to use in America? I ask because my American roommate used it to describe one of my other roommates, and she didn't seem to think it was bad. Over here, its a really, really, cannot-stress-how-offensive-it-is word. I'm trying to figure out if she was deliberately being a b****.

It just means that they freaked out with intense emotion. Nothing bad about it. It's still not nice to call somebody one, but it hardly counts as an insult.
