Sickle was about to suggest going with him, but the girl in his arms began to get cold. Whether it was the weather or the effects of Death, he didn't want to know. "Go on ahead, what the hell does that mean? You don't know where we are!" He called after the Echidna. "I mean, Where we are going." Of course the echidna knew where they were, but not that. "People who don't think things through are annoying..." He muttered to himself as he started his movement down the mountain. This girl, for instance, just happened to teleport unto his head and get punched. "Both of them are idiots..."

Knuckles disappeared into the mountains, not really paying attention to him. If it was for him to come acrost them once more, then he would, wether or not he knew were they where going.
The trek down the mountain was quite for a bit, the gentle blowing of snow the only sound mixing in with the crunch of his footsteps. However, after a bit, he could feel the presence of another nearby. The feeling would be odd, like a lifeform that wasnt complete, lacking certain energy signatures, only to have them replaced by something else.

Talon the dragon would be nearby, his wings furled closely over his body to help trap in the warmth, though his flexible suit did that well enough. A eye scanner flashed in the light as he looked about. A tiny antenna stuck out from behind his head. "Hey, you sure about this? I ain't reading anything." He frowned at the response his headset gave him and looked about once more. "I know your machines don't lie, but I ain't seeing, or Feeling anything! I think you picked up a ghost, or a echo or something. You know, that computer of yours picked up a stray solar ray that reflected off of whatever or something like that. Hey! I don't care if I don't know what I'm talking about, Im telling you, where wasting time here!" Snorting, a small cloud of black smoke rose from his nostrils.

Whatever it was Talon was looking for, it wouldnt take long for something that was looking for him to find him! As he trudged along, looking here and there, scanning, he would be given only a brief warning as something came to life up above him on a frozen shelf. With a Battle Roar, The Enemy made itself known as it broke out of a nearby snow bank it had been hidding in its sword swinging about. Energy ran along the edge of the blade, gathering up at the tip, and then firing off as a large Skull-Head like ball of energy. Two curved to the left, and begain to come back, two curved to the right, and begain to come back inwards, while the final attack was being prepaired by a overhead swing of the monsterious sword, energy blazing all along it.

The dragon grunted and jumped backwards into the air, his wings giving a powerfull push as he flew backwards. Time seemed to slow down as the Skulls where fired at him, and a hand reaches down to his chest, where a tiny purple crystal fragment was glowing.
Eyes closed, he twisted about, and his tail lashed out, the feather like protusions sweeping through the air, hissing and humming, making a beautifull sound. Connecting with the first orb, there was a loud clang, like a large cymbol being hit, and the object disappeared. One of his feet lashed out to the right, and slammed into another orb at the same time, with the same sound.
With each hit, a shower or purple energy rained from the parts that came in contact with the energy, and Talon flinched. Both hands go out smash into the two remaining skulls, but the previous hits, even planned, had thrown him off projectory, and they both managed to fly in under his attack, each one slamming into his ribs, tossing him backwards with a loud roar of pain.

The energy blasts would burn and slam into him with the force of a sledgehammer, tossing him back a good distance. The armored figure was taken aback, having expected the Dragon to block all attacks. As such, his final attack, a massive beam of energy that had sprung upwards, slams down on the area that the Dragon should have been standing if he had blocked everything. A puff of steam comes out from under the helmet as it turns to look at where the dragon had fallen. Crouching briefly, it suddenly launches itself straight at the dragon, sword back. A flash of light, and he was past, sword swung, a pile of rock nearby neatly cut horizontally in half.

Talon hissed as he felt the burn, even through his armored suit. Smashed up against a pile of rock, he looked up just in time to see the armor jump at him. Grimacing, he places his hands flat on the rock and with a soft whump the earth underneath him suddenly drops a few feet. The best he could do at the moment.
It would be a close call, the blade traveling inches from his nose. As the being passess over, Talon twists his neck to look back at him, eyes wide, and opens his mouth, spewing napalm style fire at the back of the armor.

The creatures back archs as the flames hit it. With a quick jerky movement, the thing falls to the ground, while a hand reached out towards the pile of rocks that it had cut. With a loud cracking sound, a small boulder falls from above Talon, big enough to knock the dragon out if it hit.

The dragon gasps and rolls out of the way, snow flying everywhere in his movements. Scrambling up to his feet, he managed to pull both his guns out of the holsters at his waist. Streamlined and well built, these weapons appeared to be oversized magnums.
Aiming at the creature, he snorted, and then grinned as the hammer cocked back on both guns. Then with a loud yell, and a red/yellow flash with every blast, he unloads both guns at the creature, not caring what he hit, just so long he hit.

Sparks and powder fly everywhere as Talon lets loose on the armored being. The sound of his yelling, coupled with the explosive bangs of each shot could be heard for quite a distance.
The armored being staggers up, chunks missing from his armor and thrusts a hand towards Talon. Around his hand the air shimmers, the shimmering reaching for Talon like nearly invisible hands, a low rumbling chanting coming from beneath the armor.

Sickle continued down the slop of the mountain, hating the time it was taking because of the unconscious girl. As he went, he noticed a smal rock face, where a couple of slabs of rock were broken off. Looking at the girl, he smiled to himself...
"YAHOO!!!" Sickle shouted as he held unto the girl, they flew to the air on Sickle's makeshift snowboard. Flipping through the air, he shredded the mountainside on his was down, leaving an easily track able yet very twisted way down for Knuckles to follow whenever he caught up. Assuming the aged echidna would.

It wouldnt take to long before Sickle could hear the sound of Engines above him. Then, trailing twin clouds of exaust, several Spy-Planes go rocketing overhead. Then a stronger humming could be heard. Following quickly after the Planes was what appeared to be a blimp. But the balloons where to streamlined, the craft moving far to fast to be a blimp or a Zepplin of any kind. The Main Balloon, shaped like a cigar, had two smaller, almost identical balloons on either side, the entire thing covered in armor plating. Underneath, slung on cables was what appeared to be a full on galley/ship. Propellors slung on the side spun rapidly, but still they to looked like little more then decorations. On the back of both the Balloons, and the ship where large Exhaust Fans, manuvering fins pushing the bluish exhaust about. Underslung from the ship a pair of guns swiveled and fired, their retort heard all voer the mountains. The spy planes, and the Zepplin look-alike turned past another mountain spur and disappeared from site, only to be followed by several explosions a couple of moments later.

Sickle stopped as he looked above, wondering what the things in the sky were. It didn't take him long before he recognized the war machines. Unable to do anything, all he could do is watch as they came and went, Bombing the Mountainside. He would have called out for the Red Echidna, prayed to whatever god ruled this world that the old animal had survived... But he knew better then to wish and be discouraged. "Thank you, Knuckles." He said. In the back part of his brain, he knew that the old fogey was tough as nails and wouldn't be brought down by a few minor explosions, but he knew time was limited with the girl in his hands, and hopped off the snowboard. Dashing down the rest of the hill, he was making pace much faster then previously imagined, thanks to the Snowboard. He cut time more then half, and now, in a dogged run, he would make it within the hour.
