Ann walked back into the common room and dropped onto a sofa to read some books. Her tabby cat, Aiko, climbed onto her lap begging to be petted. Ann took her eyes off her book for a moment to stroke Aiko's ears.

Llenlleawg came back down with his Irish wolf hound following him. The massive dog sat next to him and tilted his head as he looked at it. "He's kinda big but I couldn't leave him with my parents" Llenlleawg explained to Ann appologetically. "He's fine with cats though."

"Oh, its quite alright. Aiko has a strong affection for dogs, see?" Ann gestured to her cat which was currently nuzzling Llenlleawg's dog, "I'm also quite fond of dogs." She got off the sofa and petted the Irish wolf hound.

"Cool, an Irish wolfhound!" Kitty put down her copy of Quidditch Through the Ages came over to pet him too. "Hi Aiko." Kitty murmured as she reached toward the cat, who sniffed her fingers before letting the fourth year pet her.

Celest peered over her book "This is the first time I've ever seen a dog in the common room" Doc her pure white cat had gotten into her lap while she was read was now looking at the dog and flick his tail this way and that.

Ann put down her Nimbus 2000 and wiped the sweat off her forehead, "I hope I did alright. The match wasn't exactly a walk in the park."
