Gage had been walking solely towards a large golden tower looking building for a while now, almost there he had been followed and almost silently attacked by what seemed to be lost souls. He felt a sixth sense to not look at them in the eyes. He placed a mask over his face and headed on towards the tower. His gauntlets pulsating slowly.

Blind Light
Vice was looking at Reeve and Ziven for a moment, watching her reaction. It was odd for him, seeing someone care so much for a single person. When she asked her question he was about to answer, but stopped when he heard movement. Turning to Skye he tilted his head a bit. "Well, you do recover quickly don't you." He said mockingly. When Skye began to speak the calm space Vice had reached was suddenly pulled out from under him. His smile turned into a scowl as his anger began to boil. Suddenly the small aura he had radiating him went haywire. It became visible to all people, taking on a silverish glow that teemed with the essence of tousands of other creatures. Their wails of pain could be heard, as could the maddening laughter os some of the darker creatures he absorbed. The dangerous thing was that Vice seemed to have no control over it. It began to lash out in all directions, breaking the ground and putting holes in the walls. At one point the aura seemed to move towards Ziven and Reeve, but was suddenly stopped and changed directions. As soon as Skye stopped speaking Vice began, but many other voices spoke at the same time. "Because we do not want you with us! Your soul is not powerfull enough to be worth the effort of even lifting my hand." His red eye became much more beast-like, but this place was stopping him from changing. "I thought, being a dragon-kin, you would know that giving your life for something is pointless. Either the Dragons have begun to decline in intellect, or you were born stupid." With that Vice looked around, seeing what his aura was doing. Taking a few deep breaths he turned from Skye and rubbed the bridge of his nose. Slowly but surely the screaming faded away, as did the silver aura.

Skyeheart was used to being called unworthy, Aliator did it all the time, and yet he was always able to go toe to toe with him to a lesser extent. So that showed just how much he knew, not to mention Vice.
"Blame my human side for that," Skyeheart said.
"My mother taught me to be compassionate to a fault.
But my resolve still does not waver.
I'm not leaving this world until you relinquish Lady Ziven's friend."

"He's right there." Vice said with a shrug, moving his hand towards Reeve. "By all means, take him. I won't stop you." His siver eye glowed for a moment as he trurned from Skye and over to Reeve. Looking at Ziven for a moment he shrugged. "I don't know whats next. Why don't you try and think about whats next. What do you want to happen?"

When Vice's aura extended, its dark, chaotic nature caused her pain. Keeping one hand firmly on Reeve, gripping his shirt in her fist, her other hand went to her head. Not knowing what they would do, she raised her protective barrier again around Reeve and herself, wanting to do whatever she could to protect him. To her surprise and relief, they did not fight. After a moment, her head was settled, no longer in pain. Gently she placed both hands on Reeve now, slowly looking to the Dragon Man, she was still very irritated with him. Still when she spoke, it was with respect. "I wish to know if there is anything that can be done to help Reeve. If not, then .. I must do what is necessary for one when they pass on. Do you know if he can be helped?"

"Of course he can be helped." Vice said with a tilted head. We was watching her intencely for some reason, then smiled slightly. He was working his way into her mind, but since he wad become so good at it the only indication that he was there might be a slight ring in the ears. Unlike the times when he tortured Reeve using this power, this time he was only inside another's mind for the purpose of gaining information. "Well technically I can help Reeve, and you'll get to sit there and watch..." A sinister smile crossed his face as a thought popped into his head. "But I don't mind him this way. It serves my purpose rather nicely... Of course if you were to pay me something worht the effort, I might reconsider."

Something was not right with this guy, this place. So much confusion, she hardly knew where to begin. Her thoughts were interrupted by a phenomenon that had happened so rarely for her, she had all but forgotten that such an event even existed - her ears were ringing. Taking this as a sign of something else, she again chose to raise her barrier, isolating herself and Reeve from much of their surroundings and the effect it might have on them. Blue eyes, though looking tired now, were still determined. "What do you mean you like him like this? And what do you propose as .. payment?" she said softly, looking at him with determination.

Vice's smile softened a bit, his entire body giving of a much softer feeling. He looked down at Reeve as he spoke to Ziven. "As you could probably tell, since you raised your sheild. I was inside your head. Despite your efforts, I already got what I wanted." He touched the sheild gently with one finger, a symbol appearing on it. With the flick of his wrist the circle on the symbol began to spread, forcing open the sheild with it. He did that to show her that if he wanted to do something he could; but there was no cruel intention that came with it. "You really do care for my boy, don't you?" He asked calmly, almost as if he was a different person all together. Perhaps this was the side of Vice that actually cared for the children he took in... or perhaps it was a trick. Who really knows.

When he approached and touched the barrier, forcing it to lower, she did not fight it, it would cost more energy than it was worth. He was playing games with her and she would not stand for it. Watching him carefully, she tilted her head. "Being in my head, you will know that answer. You would know what is foremost on my mind, despite having pressed through to get the answer you wanted. And what is on my mind most right now is Reeve, my love for him, my loyalty for him and my desire for him to be well." she said softly, looking at him with confusion yet still determined.

"Of course I know the answer..." Vice said, walking around next to Reeve. Gently he bent down and picked the man up. "One day something will happen that will hurt him greatly, and if I am right it will have something to do with you..." With a sigh he looked at Reeve, then at Ziven. "But untill that day comes he can do what he wants. Though he owes it to me, it is still his life." Turning, Vice began to walk to the large door. "Both of you may follow me, if you wish it. I will give my son back what is his and you can have him back."

"Excuse me, however you did not answer the question .. what payment do you expect? Or have you changed your mind, you are .. well, I do not know what you mean by returning what is his." she said rising, following after him, not wanting to let Reeve out of her sight but not trusting the man any more now than she did just moments before.

Though he kept walking at a fast pace, Vice laughed at what she said. "Me saying that was only to get you to think about something else. Unfortunately, your thoughts were still that of Reeve. It means that, perhaps, you won't hurt him as other have." Stopping suddenly, the man looked at a blank wall. he did nothing more that stare at it for a moment before walking forewards. "This is it..." He said, walking straight through the wall. From the other side he called out to her. "Reeve's body is not dying, but he does not have a soul anylonger. I consumed it, and now I intend on giving it back."

She stopped as she neared the door, not wanting to go further without knowing what was on Skye's mind. Turning to look at him, she hoped he would know what was on her mind, blue eyes pleading for him to bring reason to this.

Whistling as he walked through this hidden tunnel, Vice began to near a normal sized door. The door did not look like anything special, besides some strange markings on the front of it. As Vice got closer the door opened, revealing a very large room. There were large water tanks in this room, creatures apparently growing inside them, along with huge machienes that seemed to regulate the water control. On the wall next to the tanks were an array of different weapons, ranging from the simplistic club to the shot-gun. there were many other interesting things in this room also, such as stone limbs and strange books. In the center of the room was a lone table with some chains secured to it. Gently Vice set Reeve on this table and began to lock him into place.

Skyeheart grimanced. His thoughts mimiced Ziven's.
He knelt forward to Ziven so only she could hear.
"He never said when he was going to collect his payment, nor did he promise that he wouldn't do anything else with Reeve's soul.

To him, he has probably come to realize an advantage he had not previously thought of if he kept Reeve's soul.

Lady Ziven, I too have been in situations where my loved one has hung in the balence of fate.
The most important thing to do is make sure he never forgets you or your love for him. That will keep his self that loves you intact, no matter how much the soul is tainted.

Be wary though, your will can only support him.
The only way he can truly break free is if he is stronger than him, otherwise, his soul may be lost again.
Let us take his gambit for now, restoring his soul was our objective when we came here.

But we must keep careful watch from now on...over Reeve....and his father."

Listening to what Skye said, she bobbed her head, agreeing with his words. She very much wanted to do what he recommended however, she did not know what would be best given the circumstances. Wishing that Reeve were conscious and able to communicate with her, she hoped that what the dragon man was doing to him was what he wanted and that the dragon man was being honest and not playing games with them. Slowly she began to move forward again, following them slowly. "I wish to remain near him even if I am unable to help, even if .. this turns out poorly."
