"Well, just go and find them."
"How? You haven't told us WHERE in Mei-Vaar they are."
"Yeah..."
"It's a small city. It should be no problem for the likes of you."
"...how did we get back inside?" Liam pondered aloud, spinning and viewing the various contents of the one-room apartment they all shared.
"Uh...I'm gonna go call Joe. See if we can arrange a free ride in."
"O...kay...?"

~ Part Twenty-Two ~
Björn had broken off from the group of grieving friends and family members for a moment to see if he could, in fact, get in contact with Joe. There was, after all, the slim chance that he was already dead.
He rammed the numbers to Joe's personal phone into his cellphone and held the damnable contraption to his ear, waiting anxiously as he heard it begin to ring.

There Joe sat on his bed, propped up against the wall and reading a book. Engrossed in his book, he almost didn't hear the ringing off his phone. Leaning over to his bed stand, he grabbed the phone and flipped it open.
"Hello?"

"It's me," Björn said, his standard greeting, "We've got a problem, Joey-boy, and you're our only man on the inside."

"On the inside...?," he responded, a bit confused. "What exactly did you have in mind?," he asked, shifting to the edge of his bed and beginning to stand up.

"I need to get two known rebels, a human, two tattood demons, a bird creature, and a corpse in a trunk into Mei-Vaar with as few people as possible noticing."

Joe just blinked for a moment. "Do you want pepperoni on that? What the hell, man!?," he exclaimed, his voice loudening. He dropped his head into the palm of his free hand, propped up on his knee. After sighing and taking a moment to compose himself he asked, "How do you expect me to pull that off? I'm lucky they allow me to even work in this city."

"To hell if I know. I haven't lived there since the end of laveh Pa'es, man. There's gotta be some way. If not, I've gotta meatshield our way in. I'd rather not die again."
His voice didn't display it, but Björn was deeply concerned.

He just sat there, contemplating on what to do. Did he help his friend or did he secure his future? It didn't even take 5 seconds for him to come to a conclusion to that. "I don't know what you plan on doing once you get here, nor if I can help you with it. I think I can get you in though."
He ducked into his bathroom and closed the door and spoke in whispers. Partially out of paranoia. "Do you remember the old supply train?"

"Oh, yeah..." Björn replied, voice lowered drastically in a kind of involuntary reaction to Joe's tone, "D'you think it stills runs?"

"Well I imagine so, It's only been a few years," He said, peeking out the window of his bathroom towards the edge of the city. A small train depot sat there, barely active. Just a few small lights glimmered in the dark. Joe piped up again, "If you can find a way into the old warehouse outside of the city, I should be able to get bring you into Mei-Vaar via the train with no problems."

"Just tell me the coordinates...or as close to it as you can get, I guess," Björn nodded, "We can just use the portals. And thanks, donniev. Means a lot." He knew quite well that Joe's job (and possibly his life) was likely on the line.

"Heh...," he said, his eyes tearing up just a bit. He wiped his forearm across his face and and just smiled. "You owe me a smoke," his voice quivering. He quickly told Björn the coordinates and hung up the phone then headed out the door.

"I kn--hmm."
Joe had already hung up. He quickly scribbled down the coordinates on his forearm with a bit of mud and nodded to the group.
"I got it."

~ Part Twenty-Three ~
And so here they were, within the supply centre turned bomb shelter turned empty husk of a metal structure. Luckily, Joe's coordinates hadn't been bass-ackwards, and they hadn't ended up on a crowded street or, as Liam had half-expected for about three seconds, prison.
Now all they had to do was wait for the doc.
Liam was leaning up against a far wall, watching a broken clock intently, as if it had any grounds on the real time of day.
Björn had placed Rabid's trunk on the ground and crouched beside it, hovering like some kind of protective mama bear.
