there's only one band-lationship i can think of. it's between a percussionist and a former trumpet. the trumpet is graduated now but they're still together. they're so cute ^^. there are other band people in relationships but not band-lationships. you would expect that from a band as tiny as ours. i hope to be in a band-lationship soon ^^ i like the trombonist in jazz band. he also plays guitar *melts* and my friends who are friends with him are helping me get closer to him ^-^ i was supposed to go to the movies with him and a group of ppl today but he's out of money stressed y did he hafta buy that tv?! xd

There are so many in my band that the resident bando-artists created mini portraits of them on the band-room whiteboard. They've been up there for almost a month now.
The funniest pair are two clarinetists named Christian and Miriam. Miriam drags poor spineless Christian EVERYWHERE, and gets upset whenever they can't be together.
I was in a band-lationship that lasted for two months with a trombonist (I play tuba). It didn't work out very well, and only 4 people in the band actually knew we were going out.

My sis, a trumpet, is involved in a very good bandlationship with a sax player. I'm convinced they are going to get married someday if they survive going to different colleges.
As fo me (I play flute), I'm currently in a quasi band-lationship. I was really good friends with the only male horn player back in high school. I was also close with one of the tuba players. We were with each other so much that people assumed I had to be dating one of them. Not so. I did date the tuba player for less then a month but other then that the assumptions were false.
However I have been going out with the horn player for...a year a seven months tomorrow. smile We don't play together anymore since we go to different schools. In fact he doesn't play horn anymore period since he relies on school horns. But on convenient days he sometimes plays mellophone with us in my school's pep band.
But even though the "band" is dissappearing from this band-lationship... gosh I love him. 4laugh redface

I get to see my sax player tomorrow! 'Course, that means I have to go back to school (with no homework done), but it's worth it - I just went two weeks without him and I miss him muchly. ^^;;

It's really fun to watch band-lationships develop, especially when one of them sits next to you in math and so does her best friend... and she spends the whole time "do you think he likes me? should i ask him out? i should ask him to bali, shouldn't i? but what if he says no?" and to watch them together... *giggle*

Bandlationships, or band love as we call it, are... unique. We had TWELVE band couples this year during marching season, which was absolutely flooring ^_^;; Most of them were freshmen and/or underclassmen, so we knew that most of them wouldn't last longer than a month. (We were right. XD) I'm in a type of bandlationship, since I play piccolo and my boyfriend plays quints, BUT we met a long time before we were in band.
Yeah, bandlationships cause an excess of drama. Been there done that, when I was younger. Most of the time once a couple breaks up, they'll be tense to one another and bandies will take sides and it turns into a big mess =/

Ah...they have proven to be strong with our last trip. The "PDA" or "Public Display of Affection" Rule was "Strongly Enforced" It was quite funny as you can imagine. So the whole week, we'd tap somebody on the shoulder and say, "I'm sorry, I PDA'd you!" And they'd say, "Great! Now we're gettting sent home and it's all your fault!"

We don't really end up with a lot of band-lationships in our band... but apperently there's one this year 3nodding
One of our trumpets is dating a trombone.. mind you my evidence is circumstancial... but hey, it's funny! Specially cause there a few years apart...and by a few I mean...4... stare eek
Last year there was also this guy that everyone liked. I admit I may have had a small crush on him as well. He was gorgeous, and EXTREMELY musically talented! *drool* And I was the envy of the band because he sat beside me...so I got to talk to him and everything! Although that was short lived because he quit band for Lacrosse stressed Although I have to agree with everyones opinions on sax players... they are HOTT!!! (He played sax in case you can't tell!)

All of the good-looking male sax players I have ever met (and I say this as a thoroughly straight guy) are philandering, womanizing man-sluts. And while there are always great people in band, my heart right now belongs to an un-person. Now (to get on-topic), being a freshman, I have of course only seen "band-lationships" that I was certain would never last more than a couple of weeks. And I'm always right. Not that it's a difficult feat, with ninth-graders. I have to say, though, that while I am very good friends with a lot of band people (the smart ones, anway), I have not actually wanted to date anyone in band since I was in seventh grade and willing to take anything that came my way. Not that it did. Regardless, I'm not sure what it is, but even though the more mature band members would theoretically be better matches for each other than anyone else in terms of sheer probability, the immature ones are the only ones that ever seem to date. I wonder why that is...

We have...Um...two? Maybe? sweatdrop Our band is really small, so it's to be expected. The first couple is Nick&Courtney - yes, that is one word. Nick's my section leader (percussion) and Courtney's a clarinet - Oh how I envy her for having a sexy beast as a significant other. ^_^-
The other pair is a trumpet and a flute;of no consequence to me.
And, if I can ever gather the nerves to ask a certian someone, there may be a third pair on the way....ehehehehehe...
