Narmer's eyes flashed open and he growled, his arms tightening slightly around Akina.
"She's here, and she's ready. The sun doesn't set for another ten minutes..." he sighed, unwrapping his arms from Akina and sitting up.
"There's nothing for it," he nodded, sliding quickly to the bed and putting on fresh robes, "Come, Akina. Let us prove our might as Pharaohs."

The knocking on the door caused her to wake, gasping from another nightmare. Somehow, Narmer's arms around her comforted her. At least long enough for the remants of dream to decrease. Sighing, she watched him dress, the severity of the issue slowly sinking in. They could die, and most likely, they would.
She could not think like that. Constantly, she tried to think of ways to get them out of this alive. It was Maren or Narmer, which to die. Somehow, her mind said Maren, and she grasped that though as she found fresh clothing. Dressing, she returned to Narmer's side quickly. Silent worry dweled within her.

He noticed her worry and merely smiled, "Be calm, Pharaoh. It is only time we prove our power by slaughtering an army of weak Vampires. They have merely delivered themselves on a silver platter, nothing more."
Narmer put his arm around her waist and led her out, "Come, let us greet them, then become their doom."

His words, as always, soothed her rigid emotions. Calmly, she imagined the perfect situation they were going to have. All of the vampires would be controlled. Just by having mortals caged and farmed. Such perfect bliss. Now all she had to do was to forget these were K'Meric's, her friends.
