Heh... redface
Music's a big thing in my life, almost as much so as my friends.
Real music though, not some moron sitting behind a computer and clicking 'PLAY'... evil Don't get me started on that, or you'll probably need to ban me to make me shut up... xp

xd I play guitar myself, so I'm maybe kinda biased, but...
There was an interview with some random pop chick, no major talent in any way, and she was asked by the presenter how she came up with these songs, and she replied with "well, my producer wrote the songs and everything, then he thought it'd be a good idea if I covered this one too".
Her producer wrote 'her' songs. Her producer thought she should cover this one.
Why doesn't her damned producer have the career then?!? Does everything else for her...
This just adds to my total disrespect for anyone that does pop, dance, club, house, trance, etc... Pre-recorded crap. "Look at me, I'm famous, 'cause I can push the 'play' button at the right time! Look, look, watch; See?!? I push play and it starts at the right time!"
R'n'B's another one...

The producer as the talent in producing....The singer is the talent. Without her music talent then there would be no 'play' button.

I do have to agree with Clavian though. I respect a lot more the people that write, play, and sing their music, and are willing to perform it live. Give me Simon and Garfunkel, and Niel Young any day over any boy band or modern pop singer.
