Austin faded back in and took Dan aside. "I've got some information on the dragon cane. Most likely some wealthy artifacts dealer has come in contact with it, and since we know it's being used, we can guess that the person using it is a witch or warloc. We know its not a demon since Shadow could have taken it from any demon back when he was looking for it about a century or so ago."
Austin leaned in closer. "We cant let Jon know that we know anything. Whoever is using the cane will be able to read any thought that Jon has, so we need him to think that we think that the beam is just his telepathic link to Matthew. Understand?" He realized what he said was a bit confusing.

"Ive gotten all the info there is f'for now." He looked around the room, and seeing a couch, he sat down. "I'll just wait here until tonight." He smiled and yawned.

"Brook doesn't know much about the demon that killed Jen but she thinks it's a random attack." he said as he glanced at Jon. "She's in the underworld now looking around, hoping to find information." he added.

Maddie was orbed into Dan's house. "Damn you." She muttered looking up at the ceiling. She knew he sent her back to the house, and was making faces at the ceiling. "Now, what?" She wondered outloud, wondering how she was supposed to help Dan and Jon.
She walked into the room Austin and Dan were talking in, and just glanced at them, which told her they were talking about something important. She shrugged it off and walked into the living room with Jon, Keon and Jadine. "Hey Guys." She said, somewhat unenthusiastically.

Jon gave Maddie a strange look. "Who the heck are you?!"
Austin nodded his head. "Thats good. Hopefully she can find something, but I doubt she'll find that it's a random attack. Members of powerful covens dont just get 'randomly attacked.' Someone ordered her death. Ive been the orderie long enough to spot someone else's good work." He coughed. "Well, not good work, but you get what I mean."
He was struck with an idea, but was scared to mention it. "Dan... d'do you know where they're keeping Jen's body? If.." He paused, and tried his hardest to show that he was only trying to help. "If I could see Jen's body, then I m'may be able to get an idea of who her killer was."

Ok, let's try this again. Maddie thought evenly. "I'm Madison. I'm your whitelighter." She said said as evenly as she could manage, introducing herself a second time. "You are Jon Levi, right?" She added, trying not to make it seem as though she'd done this once already.
