Hey everyone!
My Name's Mathew, I dig mostly death metal and its many sub-genres; Tech, Melodic, Brutal, Swedish xD. Some black metal too, not the most tr00 stuff, but more the bands that fuse it with other genres; things like Dodheimsgard, Finntroll, Agalloch, Akercocke, Sonic Reign.
Top bands right now would probably be Insomnium, Dismember and Cryptopsy.
I'm an art student hoping to get a job in the animation industry someday and have been playing drums on and off for a few years

I'm Robin Kasen. I am a black metal girl, but I occasionally like myself some progressive death and avant garde metal. I love finding obscure bands to rave about and I've been in metal bands in the past. Now I focus more on school. wink

I LOOVE metal, expecially Progressive/Tech Deathmetal.
Top bands right now are Necrophagist, Sleep Terror, Nile, The Faceless, Decapitated, ect.

I guess you can say everybody starts off as a Metal Forum Troll.
My first time actually posting bands I liked were quite awful, which lead me
to become a regular on that forum, after many online fights/disputes.
I'm 22
U.S.A. / Los Angeles
My favorite type of Metal is Progressive/Ambient/Gothic/Thrash/Power/Death/Black. I'm open to more subtypes, I love ALL types of music. And that is no exaggeration.
I hope to learn more about music in the following weeks/days.

so..
although I'm new to this guild, I've been around on gaia for quite a long time now. like almost 4 years.
for those who don't know me:

'hoy, ladies and gentlemen. I go by "Ash" here on Gaia, though I will most certainly do horrible, horrible things to you should you make a Pokemon joke.
I like the color red.
I'm 19 years of age and reside in the US of A, though I am Russian by birth.
My metal tastes are pretty broad, though my favorite schools by far are Swedish melodic death and Finnish gothic/symphonic/folk. My favorite bands usually combine influences from several different subgenres, so I guess I'm not much of a purist. Case in point, if I had to choose a favorite band ever, I'd have to go with In Flames. Predictable, I know.
