((FYIFA: If you are wondering why the coppers or ambulance haven't arrived or been called, I have a VERY plausible explanation. I heard a story in my Psych. class about a woman who was raped several times near a apartment complex, she lay screaming for hours. The man would leave and come back, but everyone inside assumed someone else would make the call. Just thought if anyone questioned my motives, I would enlighten them. Oh and Matt! I know what James is doing, I'm pretty sure we are both on the same page, he's calling out to the guy nervously from inside his house, plus he sees the blood and is making the assumption that it is the man that is all bloody...Good assumption, lol!... That is all.))
-----------------------------------
{Syd:}
The door stood partially ajar, as if the occupants had not a care in the world. Some blood smeared the door knob, siding, and door. Blood was smeared on the inner wall of the house, but the door blocked in visual Syd could get of the inner most parts of the house.
Syd remembers that his neighbor lives alone, sometimes a child or family comes over to visit. You remember that the man was a widower, that his wife died of breast cancer, at least that's the story your parents told you.
-----------------------------------
{Roberts:}
Roberts crunched down on the tendril with the crow bar, the head screeched in pain and let go, sucking the tendril back into it's mouth, but leaving the injured end dangling out. It then started to roll sllide away from him and made a go for Tanicea. It started to slither up the Truck Jack handle quickly, making a reach for her arms. She let go, flinging her arms in the air and shuffling back.
"Kill it! Kill it Roberts!!" She screamed horrified. The head continued to go for her, leaving Roberts alone to contemplate what to do next.

((Hm... okay, I'll keep my trap shut then 3nodding And I figured that the police and services had been zombified, too. Wasn't questioning that.))
"I don't know how to! The damn thing's too fast! Much faster than a head should be!" He yelled, getting to his feet quickly and gripping the crowbar like a baseball bat. He adjusted his hat, pointing the brim backwards and moved to the head. Then, he let the bar swing.

((But James' char is before what you guys are doing. His char is the night before.))
{Roberts:}
Roberts golfed the head like Happy Gilmore. It smacked against the wall, then fell to the counter with a clatter of tools, blood, and maggots. It shreaked and tried to crawl away. Suddenly as if a button had been pressed, the tendrils started to dry up and die.

((Ohh, you meant for... OHHHHH, okay, yeah, ignore me sweatdrop ))
Roberts dropped the crowbar as he let out a deep breath. "Finally, peace." He watched the head for a moment more before deciding that it wasn't going to get up again. "Are you okay?" He asked, heading for the back of the garage where he hoped he could see out to the street where the shots had been coming from. He was actually hoping not to find anything too terribly interesting out there. The whole morning had been filled with running and fighting and Roberts was more than ready for a break from it all to collecthis thoughts and actually talk to Tanicea for a bit. He picked up his camera as he walked and shut it off.

((You're such a cutie when you're silly. Like my avi. It's eating a puppy and a water thingy. tee hee!))
{Roberts:}
The only thing that could be dangerous would be the zombies outside the garage door still pounding, less now, but still present beyond the door.
"I'm fine, just REALLY shooken up. So if I saw what I think I saw, that means that the movies have it right partially...IF the body beyond the door isn't still moving, then that means the white bugs can't live outside the host, and they can reanimate the people.....HOLY S#!+!!!"
((I so made her sound like a scientist just now...I'm silly.))

((... well, I guess I won't argue then..."
Roberts made his way to one of the windows in the back(?) of the garage, glancing to see down the street. "So now you're an expert on zombies all of a sudden? What did you do? Graduate from Zombie University? I know I've never seen zombies like that before."

{Roberts:}
"Don't be a smart a**." Tanicea snapped, not taking her eyes away from the head.
"I've watched enough t.v. and have read enough books to make the assumption that the bugs act like a virus or something....They can't survive outside the host." She said grabbing a hammer.
"I think what happened is that most, if not all the bugs got knocked out, and so it started to die." Tanicea looked smugged and snorted. "If that's all these things are, then it should be a piece of cake. We just have to remove the head from the body, destroy the virus and there we go." Tanicea didn't look confident, in fact she looked the opposite.
The head looked to be drying out. The skin was starting to wrinkle like a raisin and fall off. It appeared that the decomposing process had sped up.
Outside the window things look calm comparatively. A few zombies littered the streets and side walks, but not enough to cause a true threat....comparatively. A large semi-empty parking lot and James st. stood between Roberts and the mall. At a closer glance, there appeared to be several dead zombies, which would account for the lack of zombies. The dead ones all appeared to be trying to head for the mall, but a person with a gun, and what looked like a still present makeshift barricade blocked what looked like a road leading into the mall.
Tanicea came to join Roberts, the hammer still in her hand. "Yeesh! Somebody other than us has been busy." She said, gazing out at the bodies. "Looks like somebody barricaded the underground parking garage. Smart thinking...but the security doors haven't been activated. I guess that explains the barricade." Tanicea then looked at Roberts not yet realizing that he doesn't know what she is talking about.
"...oh!...uh! well, the mall didn't used to be a mall. It used to be an old government building during the first and second world wars. The place was built to last against anything...or so they thought. The place was built to be like an above ground bunker, but when the land got sold off and there was no one to declare the place a landmark, the newly elected mayor turned it into a mall...go figure." She said, shrugging and a tiny smile on her face.

The man at the mall seemed to be doing well, so there was no rush, but Roberts could tell what needed to be done. "I think we need to get over there." He said, nodding his head towards the mall. "I just don't really feel like making that sprint across the lot to get there. Especially since there's no way to know for sure that he won't shoot us thinking that we're zombies as well." He glanced to Tanicea, "Unless, of course, you have a couple 'Not Zombies' shirts on you."
He turned form the scene outside and walked to the middle of the garage. "I wonder if we can take a car..." He said, scratching his head, looking around to see his options. Hopefully one of the cars here would run. He then turned to Tanicea again, "You know, a nice drive through zombie country."

Syd walked into the house cautiously Hello?! Are you doing alright? I am Syd from across the street, and I am making sure everything is alright. Syd readies his golf club and gets in running stance

{Syd:}
There was no reply, the house seemed to be in order, save for the blood smear along the wall leading past the sitting room, down a hall and disappearing into what could be the master bedroom. Everything was eerily quiet, save for the squishing and slight moaning sound that could be heard coming from where the blood trail ended.
-----------------------
{Roberts:}
Tanicea smirked "I like the way you think. I'm sure there is a junker here that is not ENTIRELY on it's last leg."
There were only three vehicles in the garage, two cars, one two seater that looked like it could be fast if only it had oil in it, and it was doubtful that it had gas. The other, a four door, but had the image of a Ford Pinto, no wind shield, and only two tires. The third vehicle was an SUV type that had the engine hanging from a cherry picker a foot and a half above the hood. ((Not safe, but who's gonna complain, the zombies?...I think not.))

Syd progressed forward, looking around each corner before he went around them. Syd felt the urge to psych himself up by telling himself all sorts of football mind tricks. "Hello!? This blood is a very bad sign sir! I am only here to help you. Please come to the sound of my voice, or make your own so I can find you faster."

{Syd:}
The only sound that could be heard was coming from the very last door at the end of the hallway. The door was partially closed and the lights were off inside. A bloody smear like a floor mat just before the door.

((Sorry about taking so long to post, got a little busy))
Jemima looked at the makeshift weapons, at least it was something to use right? And damn sure better than nothing she thought. Looking through the weapons Jemima finally chose a big mean looking wrench and a hammer that had two metal sidings on the back end, like those used to take out nails, she figured if worse came to worse she could always slam that really hard into the zombies brain or something.
Jemima nodded at Frank. Looking at the window she said, "So, what's the game plan? Run through the city? Steal a car?"

Syd put his club down and very slowly approached the door. As he got closer, his adreniline started taking over, seeing all this blood made him think the worse for his neighbor.
