Anyways, if Laos gets a hand on that box. We lose. Simple as that. Our real objectives here are to secure the Harpy. Keep her away of Laos at all cost. Then when the time is right, we strike with her, so she can destroy Laos." She said with a neutral tone. "Hate to say it, but we're all expendable for this. If we don't consider ourselves expendable... It would be very hard to make the right choice later on."

"You mean they are looking for this, and this key to open it?" Tolly withdrew the box and held it up briefly before putting it back away. "I got it in the chruch awhile back, Unless you weren't privy to that exchange via harpy magic, but i need to find the user to open it. Someone screws up and opens this box without being the chosen, yeah were all screwed again by are own doing and not Loas's."

"I guess that's it. I'll have to ask Auren when he gets back with Yami. So far, he's damn sure its her, and is in the process of hunting her down. He's going to teleport back, rather then open a Gate, why? Cause its less noticeable then teleporting. Of course, it'll take him five or six hops to do it, so it'll take longer. Better longer then dead, no?"
"But yeah. Don't let nobody touch that box. I have a few spells in my repertoire that can help with that, if you so wish."

A brisk knock at the door announced the arrival of a panicked Harpy guardsmen. "Lord Toleranth, My Lady, forgive my intrusion." He managed to gasp out before sinking to his knee in a deep bow. " I am Fëanor Arnatuilë
of her majesty's personal entourage. I've just recieved word from the commanding officer back in our homeland. Aelethia is overrun with Demons, our seers are all dead or captured by a mysterious demon claiming to be the child of Laos himself. Our Queen is missing although those who saw the cursed demon depart did not see Ellianthe chained with the rest. It is total and complete chaos, anarchy is running rampant through the countryside. Villagers have begun to sacrafice any magical creature they can get their hands on as an offering to the ancients as a plea for deliverance." His hands were shaking with rage after relaying the last bit of news.

Tolly looked at Alhana; "I got the protection of the box in good order at the moment, as to my wife, i'm sure Auren wouldn't mess things up while I'm holding the fate of the world on my person."

Tolly blinnked first, but was quick to step forward, and picked the guardsman up onto his feet gently. "Frist off, I've the upmost respect of messengers, they are braver then soliders in my book, and therefore do not bow or kneel to me. Second of all, take a drink of this and compose yourself." Tolly let go of his hand to put a canteen in his other hand stepping back. "Once you've calmed a bit tell me the situation of the armsmen and we'll hammer out a solution to combat the disaray in Aelethia."

Alhana listened to the message carefully, and grabbed a Wyvern. "Hey, go find the Captains, and drag them over here. They may want to hear this."
"Yes ma'am!" The Wyvern saluted and jogged off, looking for the Captains.
"Auren wouldn't screw things up. I'd most likely kill'em, and then drag him back from Hell, and kill'em again. Then drag him back again. You'd be amazed when the capability to actually do that is well known."
"I can assure you right now, that the Wyverns are willing to deploy to Aelethia as peace-keeping troops. Right now though we're going to want to get somewhere quieter, so we can actually work on this. Guardsman, would you happen to have a map of Aelethia? It'd make planning this campaign easier. Toleranth, would it be at all possible for you to call in additional reinforcements, or since Domachi's destruction, nobody knows you're still alive? Because the main problem here, is that we're going to need a lot of boots or claws on the ground, and pulling them from Resistance troops would be wasting man-power we could possibly use later.

"Well before I left HQ, my first and thrid armies were in postion for the final jump, their primary targets are two key supply chains being set up to the frontline armies of Loas here in the pearle/houka provinces. I was hoping to smash them to ashes, but I guess I can spare some of the overkill. will 3-4000 veteran fighters fill your budget Alhana? Its only a matter of changing the symbols on the teleportation cirlces, and Aelethia would be a couple jumps away. Between rest and recharge cycles, i would give them a day to get there, and ready to step out fighting. Lemme know if you want me to change the orders."

"It'll do. The Wyverns will be diverted there as well. And within a week we should be able to restore order, granted it'll be overkill, but it'll work. We'll need a map, and for Auren to get back. He's amazing at things like this... By the way, he has Yami with him, and they're going to start the teleportation process."
"In addition, it wouldn't be hard for us to simply Gate all of the troops in, with Auren on the farside, it'll be alright in terms of travel time, if the Aelethian delegation will have'em amongst their midst for a short time."

Tolly nodded as a messenger arrived of his own kind. He reeked of demon scent, and the disguise he wore matched what he was going for.
"Message from the forward observation squadron;
The black mage, and Lady nadira have entered the walls of the citidel. The purpose of which is undefined and unkown at the moment, and the armies are on the move again towards Houka and Pearle."
The messenger was gone as quickly as it came, and Tolly didn't look to happy about the message. 'Just leav eit alone Alhana, its a good size sucker punch, and it will hurt our forces. We'll manage another way." Tolly moved over a short distance and sat down pulling out a small flask and sipping from it.

Ellianthe alighted just outside the resistance headquarters, silent as a shadow she crept through the halls, Pressing a finger to her lips when she passed soldiers of her species and avoiding all others.
After a flight that lasted leagues, harried by demons around every turn had left her exhausted, and very wary. Along the way she had traded her gossamer nightdress for a pair of breeches, a man's overlong tunic, a pair of sturdy leather booths and a belt. A navy blue cape hid her wings well enough in the sparse lighting. The silver hilts of two boot knives glimmered, and the outlines of two similar, but thinner blades could just be made out through the sleeves of her shirt.
She walked confidently, regally, much more so than when she ruled from the safetly of her marble throne room. A queen who knew how to fend for herself.
She was also thinner, after living off whatever she could catch of buy with what little money she had left after selling her gown, and reoutfitting herself.
The only thing she wore hinting at her royal heritage was the silver circlet she had worn on the day she had fled from her own kingdom, demon's in her wake.
She had strived to reach headquarters alive, surprisingly she didn't feel much safer then outside, silently, her men at armsfell in two lines behind her, helmets clutched in trembling hands, eyes filled with new hope at the return of their monarch. She knew what they expected, but she was in no mood for formalities, time enough for that when those motherless pigs were out of Aelethia.
She turned the handle, and was rather miffed to find it locked, "Lord Toleranth, blast it, open up already!"

(i'll happily assume that we are back at the resistance base then, Auren can drop in as well I guess when he brings Yami.")
Tolly set the flask down a dark mood brewing on his face as he got up. "Who in their right mind would be disturbing me at this hour." Tolly flung the door open; "What is it?" The young messenger took two steps back. "There is someone at the door to the caverns, they are asking for you, but when the guard squadron checked they noticed only a armful of Harpy armsmen and what appears to be a rouge. They think its a trick, and have barred the door tot he caverns from opening."
Tolly walked back inside his office and opening a chest, he placed the key and the box that Ellianthe gave him inside it, and closed the lid and removed the key, once the key was removed the chest disappeared from sight.
"I'll be back in a few minutes..." with that said to the people int he room Tolly left his office and began walking the long path up tot he cavern door. The messenger trailing behind a few paces not liking the vibe coming form his lord.
Tolly reached the door and the guards were standing to each side of it. Tolly drew his sword and ran his hand the length of the blade as stopped in front of the door. He put the sword low and two his right side and used his left hand to open the door. If they were working for Loas, he would ship their heads to the front of the citidel. Tolly stepped back as the door finsihed its swing open. "Prove yourselves as good, or my next move will be cutting you all down."

Ellianthe's smile was wry, "Do that, and you might as well hand yourself on a silver platter to Laos and his hoarde for I bear news that may turn the tide in this battle."
She ran a hand through her hair nervously, "It is I Lord Toleranth, Queen Ellianthe of Aelethia. I have come a long way and while I would welcome relief from this headache that is splitting my skull, I doubt the doctor would prescribe a beheading. You may have Jones here though, he's making a nuisance of himself by trying to protect me from you, and stepping all over my poor feet in the process."
She smiled at the suddenly shocked man at her side, and patted his shoulder with a laugh. "Oh, and I also thought you might like to know that Lady Nadira and an escort of three handsome vagabonds while be arriving within the hour.
The Lady seems even more stricken than usual, it is a wonder they have made such good time since Shavas was captured only yesterday, shortly before Sibel's very timely death. Would you like me to continue to pour forth secrets, or are you ready to let me in now my dear dragon Lord?"

(its about time, i was getting moldy, and would flare up allergies here)
"Jones is a intresting name to put on a heastone, but come inside. Oh and be careful of thinking anything evil or traitorus, the barrier will eat you alive if you do, not all of the skulls in these catacombs belong to the dead that were here when we arrived. A few tratiors seeking fortune from loas were unforntunately terminated before they were able to scream." Tolly's guards didn't back down from readyness as Tolly moved out of the way for the guests to enter.
However this didn't stop Tolly from talking as he waited for them to come inside. "It was about time someone put that forked tongue woman in her place, but will she stay dead is really up to Loas and how ambitious he is feeling in crushing us to a pulp. The mess he left in Aelethia is going to take a few months to sort out, but Auren's plan is working slowly to restore order. With the reduction in numbers taking care of that effort, losing Shavas doesn't really help either, but hopefully she saves that wish vermillion gave her. I don't want his sacrifice to be over a cup of water because she's thirsty. I would kill her myself if I found out something silly like that happened."

Fortunatly Auren bound her soul to his blade after the deed was done, a fitting fate for a murderess to spend the rest of eternity in a killing tool is it not?" She smiled, a maliscious twinkle in her violet eyes.
With the ease of practice she cleared her mind, and passed through the barrier unscathed. " Her will to live is strong, but she is not foolish. She had to have passed the test of pain among other...Unpleasant trials in order to have risen to her rank in the mages tower. Not to mention that Shavas is no longer in possesion of the dragons tear. Nadira bears its burden in the sorceress's place. It will be here along with that maiden very shortly, and from there we must plan our strategy."
She strolled down the path towards the inner caverns, motioning for her guard to remain outside. Their place was patrolling the corriders not following like a mob of ducklings. "Have you had any luck locating Pandora's rightful guardian?"
She fought to keep her mind clear as she kneaded her forehead with her fingers, She had kept the majority of her visions at bay, during her flight it had been neccesary. It wouldn't do to be caught by an enemy while swamped in a vision. There were also the frequent attempts by her former seers, now in Laos's possesion, they had been loyal enough while in her service but pain was a powerful motivation.
