...welcome to the power of rhetorical devices, my friend. Can we give a moving speech that brings people to tears, while saying nothing at all? Yes, we can.
Seriously, it was a cool video. But he never once said anything that he intended to do. He said we can have hope for change. That's all fine and dandy, but what kind of change are we talking about?
He said we will have hope, and be united as a nation. Of course he failed to mention hope in what, and united to what purpose.
And he wants to heal the nation. Heal the nation from what? Not to say we don't have ills, but I'd rather focus on healing a broken leg than a papercut.
My rhetoric class would have a heyday with this video.
Obama is still one of the candidates I like(Or should rather say "don't hate"), because of some stuff I've heard about education plans and what not, but yeah, anyway, not a fan of that vid.
