Achiba
Alto saxophones and [I hate to admit this but...] clarinets.

The alto sax players get yelled at quite often. And when they aren't, the clarinets are. No one can seem to take the time to look at the key signature before we start, so they always play wrong notes. It drives me nuts! I try to tell them to pay attention but they continually goof off. Gah.
Plus, barely anyone in our section plays very well, so our BD set up the chairs so that the four best players were spread throughout the section to help on the parts.
I should be second chair. Instead, I'm in fifth helping on second part.

That's kinda funny, but in our band, just about every section is horrible...the only good sections are Alto Saxes♥♥♥, euphoniums,...and the triangle...lol!
The rest are outta tune...usually clarinets and trumpets...Tubas are outta tune because they don't play as strong as they should and trombones can't seem to get the slides in the right position... sweatdrop

ilyta-earth
saxes hands down...sadly

Wow...that's sad. I believe the Sax is really easy...the keys are very simple, and tuning should be a snap...just in the matter of playing strong enough...unless you're really outta tune it can be the reed or where you place the mouth-piece sweatdrop

...precussion can be a drag...they're retards when it comes to tempo...and they're kinda like our metronome...if they get outta tempo, we all do and some of us stay in the previous tempo and it sounds like cr@p!

Trumpets...they are lazy...they stand out a lot, we have so many of them, that everyone notices them...but what people really notice is that they're terribly outta tune...and it's hard to get every single one of 'em in tune!

French horns...all our french-horns are rebellious girls...plus lazy. All they like to do is talk, disobey the band director, and text message behind the safety of the stands.
. . .
Woe

Let's see...flutes, they're ok, but they need to blow warmer air and faster. They also can't afford to be shy, they need to play strong!
PostPosted: Wed Dec 26, 2007 8:57 pm

Tubas...they need to play strong as well, it's a big instrument, and they need to fill that instrument with air! It's tough, but that's what they gotta do!

Baritones have a lovely sound...I don't have much to complain about them, exceot when they don't pay attention to the key signature and they're playing a natural when it's a flat or sharp... sweatdrop

Most of our clarinets are freshmen and sophomres...so they're kinda shy. Some of them don't pay attention to what position their mouth-piece or barrel is. They also don't care if they're reeds are good. They also need to play strong. Playing strong enough is a big issue lately sweatdrop

Saxophones -painful to admit-
. . .
There are four of us...3 of us do well, but the last chair is the one who can get is into some trouble! She doesn't try hard enough, I bet she only stays in band just to slack off.

Our band director yells mainly to the trumpets...especially freshmen.

Since marching band ended, and most of our precussion has 1st pd band and my band has 2nd pd band, we don't get to practice a lot with 'em, but with the very few we have, they're not very good.

Saxephones seem to be among his favorite, we tune easily and play with a lot of effort!
