"Not really," Ewan joked. "I weakend him for yeh." Desmond could see that although Ewan was joking there was this look in his eye that said he would not let Desmond be the hero.

Des smiled and patted Ewan on the back. "That's true," he said. He turned to Claire and motioned to the way inside. "Do you think we should head inside or are your friends still looking for you?"

"Okay," Desmond shrugged. He saw Ewan giving him a strange look and then finally Des realised it. "You want to leave that here, brotha?" He took the rifle from the actor's hands and walked it over to the door, tossing it inside. He returned back to the two of them and asked, "Which direction?"

"This way," Ewan said confidently, even though he had no idea. He waited for a response, but the jungle was just quiet.

Des walked over and stared at the ground for a bit. He shook his head at Ewan and pointed in the opposite direction. "You so sure about that, brotha?" Ewan looked over amazement, wondering what Desmond's secret was. It was then that he saw the footprints.

((THREE MORE DAYS!! gonk ))

"Hmm," Desmond scratched the back of his head. "Well I don't, really. But it's a pretty good guess don't you think?" He smiled at Claire as he rested his hands at his sides. Claire was the first woman he had seen in a while and she sure was beautiful.

"Hmmph!" Ewan snorted. He was tempted to roll his eyes, but he just continued walking in the direction Desmond had pointed too. He was slightly embarrassed but he tried not to let it show.

Ewan turned round and stuck his tongue out at her jokingly. He continued walking until he realised he had no idea where he was walking too. "So do you think they will be following the footprints like us?" he asked no one in particular.

"Hard to say, brotha," Desmond shrugged. "Who are these two that are looking for you again?"

Ewan was about to answer, but realised he didn't really know.

"Jack and Kate," Desmond repeated. "What do they look like?" He pushed a huge leaf out of the way for Claire, but it ended up smacking Ewan in the face.

"Oww!" Ewan replied. "What the bloody hell was that for?"

"Sorry," Desmond said sheepishly. He turned back to Claire waiting for an answer. This actor sure did get ticked off easily. But who was Desmond to talk? He was the one who blew a fuse everytime someone called him a coward.

((At this time tomorrow, we'll be on Gaia with nothing to do because Lost starts in half an hour! Hehe rofl ))

"I see," Desmond smiled. He tried desperately to think of questions to ask the two of them, for he sensed a long, awkward silenece would accompany their walk. He tried and tried and even if he did think of a good question, he wasn't brave enough to ask it.

Ewan was bored of looking at his shoes. "So what did you guys do back in 'the real world'? Anything interesting?" He hoped this would give one of them the incentive to ask him the same thing. THEN maybe they would recognise him.

"Hmm," Ewan smirked. His plan had worked perfectly! He said, "Oh. Well, I'm an actor." He grinned, giving Claire a glance at his award-winning smile. "What about you, Des?"

Desmond frowned. "Not much."

Ewan turned back to Claire, flashing her that smile again.
