By the time they walked towards the forest, Lucind could really need a rest.
The placed her backpack on the ground and sat down next to the monk.
Fishing out a snack she had ordered before leaving the inn - dumplings filled with vegetables - the asked: "How long is it from here?"

She offered him a dumpling and scanned the area, though she couldn't see far due to the darkness between the trees.

"Not far, in fact, we're almost there. Why, thank you." He answered and thanked the woman for the little snack, "Just a little deeper into the forest and then we will be at our destination." he finished, munching on the snack.

However, the long walk which lasted hours was not going to lose its tiring factor in a brief rest on a log, so Hul decided to start up a little conversation, having nothing much better to do.

"So this cafe you own, Feimurgan, how long have you had it for? It doesnt look like a very old place, in fact, it looks quite new, and because of that fact, I've found it odd that you, the owner of the place, got an invitation, of course, I mean theres nothing wrong with that, but because invitations for the the festival are usually planned a year beforehand. That's why I think its odd." He asked with genuine curiosity.

::The problem with desperate cries, is that they more often than not take all the persons remaining strength to make. In that cold wasteland a dying voice cried out again, not nearly as loud, infact barely above a whisper. A normal person might not have even heard it. ::

..h...help...me...p...p...please...

::The voice was stuttering, the icy hands of death and tundra were trying their very best to take this person away. And while they lacked the strength to make a wave or shoot a flare, they had left another sort of marker...

Blood. Infact Madi's luck was beyond belief, perhaps it was her feet. But nearby, only about 106 feet away from herself, infact were footprints that stood out like warning flares.

Remember earlier? How red is the color best seen by the human eye? Because of just that little scientific fact, Madi would most likely see the bloody red footprints in the snow. And if she followed them she would see the blood red footprints turn into four sets of prints, as the person drifted to hands and knees....and then finally a single trail of blood and a smear across the snow as they began to crawl thanks to a complete lack of feeling in their legs. And finally, a huddled pile of snow, with a hand reaching up from it, and what looked like a face buried in snow, a face which gazed at Madi with crystal tears in its eyes, and spoke as if giving out its final prayer to god...::

....p...ple..ase...

::The mound of snow was soaked in a small puddle, though if you add up the amount of blood in the footprints behind them, you could see that they had lost an ungodly amount of blood. And without blood to carry heat to keep them warm, and with snow covering them from head to toe...they were experiencing something far beyond the word "cold".

Staring into the face of death, someone elses death can be a scary thing. Someones life was literally in Madi's hands.::

The young rabbit remained silent, unsure what she could do. The cold sweat from the stress ran down the side of her face as she inched closer towards the red pile of snow. With each step the sound of her heart pounded louder and louder.

"Don't worry...I'll try and help you..." reassured Madison with a calm voice, but who exactly was she comforting? For it seemed more like that she needed to remind herself about the situation. In a one smooth motion, she removed her coat to wrap around the bleeding creature, cautious the entire time. The coolness began to send chills down her spine as she countinued to attempt to help the creature.

She knew she had to keep her guard up for this animal could infact be not a very kind one. With shakey paws, she attempted to move the weak creature towards the transpotter that she found earlier. Her arms felt as heavy as a ton of bricks do to the coolness of the air pressure. Slowly her crimson red eyes fell on the creatures trying to show a comforting side fallowed by a warm smile that could cause any snow pile to melt.

Her nose began to feel cool once more like it once did. Her heart began to panic more as she moved the creature towards the transporter. She knew that she may not be the right person to fix this young one, but she had an idea who could.

That would infact have to be the Doctor.

Slowly she placed the creature onto the seat as she looked about to make sure if they did set out that it would not fly out. Her arms slowly began to feel numb and she herself rubbed her arms lightly trying to get to flow into her arms once more.

Matt stopped abruptly, sitting down on the cold ground and relaxing for a second, he had remembered something.

Reaching into his jacked, on an inside pocket he pulled out a small packed, opening it there was dried beef, the pack about 1 lb was a small provisions pack he had helped himself too at the last store he found.

Tearing at the rough dried meat, warm from being in such proximity with his body. chewing vigorously he remained, pulling his hood up over his beanie and pushing his sunglasses up to rest on the bridge of his nose, looking around.

"....not much here huh?"

he said out loud, the voice sounding in an otherwise human free area sounding odd and unnatural.

::Its about this stage in the game that we hope that young Madison can handle a good amount of gore.

Moving away the snow Madi would be able to see that the "thing", wasnt really a thing it was a person. With so much snow it was almost impossible to make out its gender, or its injuries but unfortunately while a coat was a wonderful idea to keep away the cold...a coat was not a bandage. As Madi lifted the poor individual a wet sculch was heard as something red and wet hit the ground and began to drag as Madi walked.

Did you know that human intestines is over 20ft long? Not many people do, but when a persons intestines drag along the ground...they find out very quickly. And the person screamed, a very loud scream of extreme agony. Snow had been tightly packed around his wound, but there was infact a gaping bite hole in his side. 4 of his ribs were missing, as well as a good portion of his side, and pieces of several internal organs. This was a gorey sight. Not for the faint of heart. Not for the faint of stomach.

Simply put, a coat...wasnt going to be enough. But thanks to the coat the snow around His, body had melted enough for his wound to be seen. As well as several other horrible claw marks around his face, legs, arms, and cut. As well as the tears in his clothes. This man was attacked...and his insides were literally about to fall out. But somehow the screaming began to subside as he spoke, some sort of quiet voice while his eyes stared off into the distance and tears began to drip and crystalize down his eyes.::

D..d...do you see that man..in black....? I-I'm not...ready...I...I want...to live....

Madison froze for a moment, unaware about what exactly the being was talking about. She tried opening her mouth for a moment which caused her to gag, quickly she turned around not facing the being and could feel the taste of vomit fill her. With a quick swallow she attempted to turn back to face them to help them.

"What man?" questioned Madi with as much difficulty as the victim that laid before her. The feeling of fear and anxiety crawled up Madison's stomach like a spider approaching it's prey....or it could be the vomit but she wasn't exactly sure at that moment. Finally she quickly turned her head back to where his vision of site was looking into the darken snow trying to see whatever he viewed. Her stomach turned do to the suspense and the smell of his open wounds.

Standing and putting the packet of food back into his jackets inner pocked he smiled slightly pulling his hood back and removing his Zamadar from the odd sheath on his right thigh.

holding it out in front of him the blade flashed as he slashed downwards. Almost as if following patterns as you would in swordpractice he began movements. rather than the graceful patterns of swordplay the patterns created by his body were odd yet, in thier own way made more of an impression with the small blade.

Rather than the graceful arcs and slashes of a sword the patterns were often punctuated with fast stabs, his body moving and turning with ease, muscle memory would be the best term to use. His body so used to the movements required of him that they blended easily.

this continued for awhile, his hair starting to steam slightly as people often did, thier head being the uppermost part of thier body contained more heat and as the sweat evaporated in the cold it condenced quickly making it look as if the persons head were smoking.

::In all honesty Madi wouldnt see anything at all. Which is fine since she really wouldnt be missing anything that she hadnt already seen.

The man, looked to be about 18 years old or so, and already he was facing death...to young. His arm slid out in the snow pointing to the left, where there was a field of...more snow. What a surprise!

Only he saw something totally different. He saw a man, in a black cloak, olding a scythe walking toward and speaking...that made him speak.::

I...dont want to go home....I d..d...dont want to die...

::And yet despite that, his intestines were smattered all over the snow. And the one girl that could save him....was staring out into the snow. People new to the medical profression are said to do this many of the times when facing their first patient. They panic, they stuttered, they delay. And an individual who's life hangs in the balance, is let to fall.

Madi was in the large white shoes of a doctor, or a nurse. This man, no...this boy, was about to die. He was teetering on the brink, and literally staring down someone who had come to take his soul away...and he really did not want to go. What is a little bunny to do?::

Swallowing the last bite of her snack and drinking a bit water, she nodded at him and replied: "You're right. This Feimurgan has been open for only two weeks. However, there was a first version of the book-cafe, located at the Merchant's Ring of the Leviathan Arena. I'd been running it for several years until the moment the stadium was destroyed a couple of months ago. Suppose you've heard about this catastrophe?"

"Oh... well that explains it." he reasoned, scratching his head. Getting up off the log, he looked around until he was positive of which way to go, "I believe the monastery should be somewhere in this direction." he said as he began moving deeper into the pathless forest.

Lucind stuffed her things back and stood up to stretch her limps.
She then followed Hul.
"By the way, how old is the monastery?"
PostPosted: Wed Oct 12, 2005 1:54 am

"The monastery is relavtively new I guess, considering that it is a monastery afterall. I believe its about 32 years old or so. Older than I am, thats for sure." he chuckled "And its surprising enough, its pretty much carved out of ice. Kind of miraculous wouldnt you say? Something which lasted so long though its made of such fragile material?"

Between the trees and over debris, the young monk brought the guest through several small clearings before going back into the soldier like trees, standing tall as if on guard. He kept going until he entered a large clearing. There, he stopped for a moment as he looked around, his face showing confusion as he wandered around a bit. He even went so far as to walk across the large clearing to the opposite side of where he emerged from.

"Nope... this is the place." he said, confirming his answer as he turned around, and as if by magic, there was a large domed structure, white as the snow itself in the middle of the clearing where a second before, there was nothing. "Come this way, m'lady." he said as he went around the large structure towards an alcove where a heavy door was located.

Did they just walk through a large building like that to get to the other side? Or did the structure just spring into existance? This was how the monastery remained a safe haven. It only revealed itself to those who were invited and welcome, and would only allow such people in. Subtle, but ingenious.

And as Hul pushed open the door with the groan of wood and stone, he spoke in a most gracious manner, "Welcome to the monastery."

Why was he so unsure about the location of his, well, home? Still she just followed him, asking herself what actually he was searching for. Lucind had heard the Guldorian monks hid their place very well, therefore she expected something like a trap door somewhere between the trees.

But her eyes widened when she did like Hul, turned around - and faced the huge dome that hadn't been visible some seconds before.
"...wow." Staring at the building for some seconds she finally stepped forwards, offering Hul's invitation and walked through the door.

There she stood, inside the dome which was lit by many candles and lined with piles all along the large room. Faint sunlight seeped in through various gaps in the stone wall.
She glanced around, wondering if there was more magic to come, for she just couldn't make out any doors or staircases...
PostPosted: Wed Oct 12, 2005 11:11 am

Closing the door on his way in, Hul turned about as the door sealed with a resounding thud. With gaps in the walls of the large domes and candles all around, the individual rays of light and soft glow of fire produced a blotted shadowy room. This dim lighting, working together with the mosaic-like floor actually produced an illusion where the stairs blend into the ground.

The young monk strode through the empty space, pulling his cowl back as he looked around, and then sunk into the ground. Or rather, put his feet into a well hidden set of stairs which spiraled down. "Come on then, lets get this tour underway." he said as he picked up a nearby candle and began to go down the steps, a soft glow illuminating the stairway.

"Hah, this I'd call some piece of sneaky architecture..."
She grinned and hurried to follow Hul down the stairs.

She was curious to see the rest of the monastery, the heart of it, where the monks lived and worked.
But Lucind also felt her instincts kick in, or actually her heritage: full-blood Sirens always had the tendency to react claustrophobic(?), some more some less.

Yet she didn't start to get nervous or feel uneasy - there was just a faint voice deep inside herself, demanding vigilance and telling to better go and find a more open place.
