The idea of using normal healing was out of the question as it became obvious it was making things worse not better. Between Kain touching her and the magic that shown in Reeve's skin, the balance of her powers was thrown off and she dropped to her knees, a strong pain in her head. Though she was wincing and bent over double, she answered Kain through gritted teeth. "I will do so .. moment .." she was angry with herself now, this was the worst time to react to other's magic.

Another moment passed and the pain was gone, but she still was upset. Standing slowly, she turned back to Reeve, her clothes were moving gently as if a soft breeze were in the room. Placing her hands over him, she was shaking.
"I wish there were another way." she waited a moment like Kain said to and then used magic that would bring fire to his side to close the wound as instructed. She did so slowly at first, just like with the poultice, to make sure this was not rejected also.

Kain studied her for a moment, being able to 'see' her body reject the other magiks... but this was no the time. When she got up and put her hand on the wound her grabbed onto Reeve, making it so he couldn't move.

The moment the flame touched thewound the wound began to burn itself shut. His blood boiled and skin seared itself together. Little by little the wound closed, and Reeve did all he could to contain himself. The power was hard to hold in, especially with the pain from the flame. The only good that came from this was that, since the wound was technically not being healed, the flame was able to stop the flow of blood by mealting the skin together.

"What more can we do?" she asked, mostly directed at Kain since he was most able to speak. Still holding her hands over him, she sought out to find any additional wounds that needed attention. "Healing is not my forte, knowing more would be of great help."

"Now, we do nothing. That was the only place where the sword got him, any other wounds were just backlashes of his own energy." Kain said as it tilted its head a bit. "Lets discuss while my master slumbers." Reeve had, indeed, fallen asleep once the wound was closed. "And do not worry about him, the ancient magik he is consumed with will not let its vessle die..."

"Very well. Do you wish to sit?" she said softly. Blue eyes still fixed on the injured man, she was not yet ready to leave his side. Placing a hand on his chest and the other on his thigh, concentrating for a moment, all of Reeve's clothes were repaired and fresh and a clean bandage left over the gash in his side, just in case it were to continue bleeding, though his shoes moved from his feet and to the floor. Then, holding her hands palm up over him, a light blanket hovered for a moment over him before landing on top of him. Tucking him in gently, she took a moment to look at his face. Gently running her fingers over his forehead, she brushed some of his hair out of his eyes, even though it was illogical, she felt he would be more comfortable that way. Tilting her head, she smiled gently, feeling that now she could move on.

Taking a step away from him, she looked at Kain again and nodded. Though she realized most of her normal pleasantries would not be necessary, she decided it would not hurt to offer.
"If there is anything you require, please let me know, I will do my best to accommodate your need." as she spoke, she realized what Kain said and shook her head slightly. It was a relief and a concern to know that Kain and the magic within Reeve considered him invaluable though she did not like that it or they considered him to be a vessel. But at the same moment .. she realized that if the magic she used could speak, it would likely think the same of her. She looked back on Reeve, with a look of sympathy and understanding before again facing Kain.

Kain watched what she did curiously, wondering why she did all of those things for Reeve. It did not interrupt her, but when she was done he tilted his head. Ignoring her questions, he asked one of his own. "Why are you caring for my master so much? To my knowledge he has not done something for you, yet you do all of this for him." It seemed to look at Reeve for a moment. "I do not understand..."

"This is what friends do for eachother." she said simply. Taking several steps away from the pair, she considered sitting but then decided not to. Turning back to Kain, she too tilted her head again. Her expression was worrisome and apologetic. "Have I done something wrong? I try to treat people as I would want to be treated, that is the only way I know .." she trailed off, her eyes now rather pleading for validation of her choices.

Taking a few steps away again, she wished she could touch a happier moment. Unfortunately she touched a more comfortable magic, that of light. Again the dark magic that still resided in her from her run in with Yawgmoth collided with it. Since such a short period of time had passed since the previous collision, the intensity was much stronger. Again she was on her knees, both hands in fists pressed against either side of her head. Breathing deeply, she worked on separating the magics again so she could move on with the night. Though she realized her reaction was impossible to ignore, she tried to get Kain to move on.
"Please .. continue. This .. will pass." even as she said this the pain was already lessening and her shoulders began to relax.

The figure tilted its head slightly. "I have seen friends stab one another from anger and drown eachother for wealth. You can not tell me that caring is what friends do." Kain's words were very cold, hatred and anger noticeable despite how quietly it talked. "And no, you have not done anything wrong, I just don't understand why your treat my master so..."
It watched her for a moment, sencing the conflicting Magiks. "And why does your body not accept some magiks?"

"No .." she said simply at first. Finally getting the different layers of herself to play nicely, she lowered her hands to her lap and sat up straighter. With a deep breath, she moved on with an explanation. "The truth is that I can understand and use most magic that I find in this world. However, not all magics play nicely with one another. I have learned magic of light and of dark. Recently I had another encounter with a dark magic, one that has stayed with me. Generally the magic I draw from is that of light, good natured at least. Usually everything is balanced within me, however when I interact with other people, it can throw these things off balance which causes me pain. I have found a way to help everything find peace within me when this happens." rising from the floor, she looked at Kain and nodded, resolute in moving forward. "I wish to know if there is more I can do to help him. I am not a person who would kick another when they were down."

Kain hissed a bit. "Your pure... how annoying. You will never be able to have true balance. What you feel is not lack of balance, it is lack of purity..." The figure shook its head a bit as it went to Reeve. It put hand a upon him, seeing if the ancient magik was working. "The only thing we can do for him is to leave him here to heal more. Normally he would be going to the burial site... but he has not the strength to go there." The figure moved its hand away and turned to Ziven. "What are your feelings towards my master?"

"Fine." she said shortly to his answer. In her opinion it was unacceptable that all they could do is sit by and wait. Knowing he had been injured by something and that he had lost a lot of blood and was weakened, she felt there would be more to do to get him well again.

She turned away from the pair, finding a comfortable seat on the couch. There she rested her forehead against the palm of her hand, feeling exhausted. The way he pressed on to know her feelings annoyed her greatly.
"Just what is it that you lot wish to hear from me on this subject? Torment me with this no longer, speak acceptable answers so I may articulate one that you find acceptable."

Kain was begining to like this woman less and less. "It appears that you don't like out presence here too much, nor do you like speaking about yourself." The figured turned and picked Reeve up, trowing him over his shoulder. "When my master wakes up, I will tell him to speak of such matters no longer. I will simply tell hi that you think of him as nothing more than... a 'friend.'" It spoke somewhat angrily, not liking this situation too much. It knew that moving Reeve was dangerous, but it was not willing to leave him there. Kain's issue with her was really nothing personal, it didn't like humanoid creatures in general. Quickly it made its way to the door.

She stood, following after his movements, appalled that Kain would move him, furious with herself for having lost her temper. "I do not understand .. I do not know what you seek to hear. I care for Reeve, I wish him well and I want to help him." she pleaded softly, though her voice wavered; she was frightened. She did not understand why but tears started to flow again. "I want to help .. please let me help. Please, I need to know .." she stopped talking again, giving up. She did not understand what they wanted, what they needed to hear from her. "I do not wish for Reeve to be alone."

"Neither of us want a specific answer, I don't even care. My master just wants whatever answer you give him." Kain shifted Reeve a bit, trying to make him more comfortable. It looked at Ziven as she cryed, and for a moment felt pity for her, but that was washed away when she spoke again. "You do not wish for him to be alone? He is always alone. He has always been alone and will probably always be alone. His family killed and sight taken away were troublesome for him, but he continued to live. He killed people for vengence then wandered around, every place he went to not one person cared for him. Finally a man and his daugter took him in, taught him things one can only dream about... then left him in the middle of the night, leaving a note that my master could not even read. He went to the Towers of Magik, where the Magi tortured him because of his bloodline, when all he wanted to do was learn." It seemed to grow as its anger intensified. "When he finally released me, he was no longer a man. He realized that he was alone in this world, not only the last of his bloodline but without a person who cared for him. Completely alone. And you know what? He is better that way. My master accepted the fact that he was alone, and became stronger. If it were not against his will, I would have killed you when I first met..." Suddenly it became deathly quiet and slowly shrank. Gently it set Reeve onto the ground, but the man to longer slept. He stood there, his back to Ziven. The figure did not need to hear words to know it had crossed many lines, and sank into the shadows.

"I am sorry that you had to listed to his little rant..." Reeve said as he turned towards the bed. His face had no expession on it, even his blind eyes were being controlled. He walked to the bed and felt around for a moment, soon finding his mask. Reeve put it on, putting up his own little barrier from the outside world. "When you get him started, he does not stop..." His voice was cold and emotionless, almost like an empty vessel.

Standing there stunned, she barely knew where to start. She shook her head when Reeve spoke. "It is fine, everyone here either wishes they would have killed me the first time they met me or is wondering why they have not done so yet." she paused only to wipe her cheeks dry, feeling nothing but anger at herself right now. "I know what it is to be alone."

Inhaling deeply, she tried to figure something more to say, something she felt would be acceptable to create a desire to stay or at least to explain what she had done wrong. "I am sorry if I have failed you. I do not understand many of the nuances of social etiquette. It is I who owes an apology, not you." she bobbed her head.

"I have caused conflict between you both. Please know that was not my intention. It seems that you share a connection with each other like I had with my master. Cherish that bond, do not let me or anyone come between it. It is not worth it to lose that bond, to sever a part of who you are, trust me." trembling as she said this, she turned away from them slightly as she finished, furious and embarrassed with herself for having said that and for finding more tears were spilling down her cheeks.
