Oh really? Cool! He actually kinda reminds me of Stalker, who also sported a massively disproportionate shoulder cannon (with similarly themed vehicular form). Like I said, I'm really hanging out for these guys. 3nodding

I got him under his Machine Wars Name: Soundwave. My roommate gave em to me.

That never appealed to me personally; besides the flip-changers, I didn't bother with the whole Machine Wars franchise. I can appreciate how it could be of interest to folks over in the States, however, not having recieved any of the Turbomasters or Predators the first time around. 3nodding

Well I finnally found Sideways, as well asWreckloose and Runamuck. That target also had the repaint of Overhaul and the second Mini-con set, but I wasn't as interesed in them.

Overhaul is one of the figures I most want, but I don't think much of his rather mundane repaint... As far as I know, the only repaint option I'm considering is Swindle, as I have mentioned before. Oh, and Galvatron, of course. Bring 'em on, I say! biggrin

After planning on buying either the Vector Prime/Starscream two-pack or Optimus. I finally went to Toys R Us today and... didn't buy either?
Instead I bought Leobreaker and Mudflap, for $30, which last I heard, isn't a bad deal. I figure I'll wait a while on the two-pack, see if they begin shipping any where Vector Prime's sword and wings aren't bent out out of shape.

Mudflap is... pretty good! Epic? Eh, not yet. But he's certainly a good figure in his own right. With two Key features: A normal missile launcher and the longest blade weapon thing since Energon Starscream. He's blocky though, really blocky, I mean he looks like a G1 Animation model which leads to his vehicle mode being really compact. He has a neat symmetry thing going on in both looks and transformation. And when was the last time you saw a $20 Decepticon with an alt mode close to being this realistic?

Leobreaker I heard was pretty dissapointing. Well, he is. Okay, not entirely. His transformation is about an uninspired as they come, but that said, he's fun enough in his own right. His robot mode has rather undetailed legs, but in his lion mode they aren't as visible from the front. Regretably, he can't lie in the traditional Public Library fashion. He Giant Arm mode, well it's big... but... okay, it pretty much sucks. And sadly he's the only arm in the line. Well, he and his recolor.
I'd really rather a deluxe that can turn into an arm for either of the leaders, or maybe a $20 figure that turns into a pair of arms. But Leobreaker just seems like he was a last minute construction so there would be -somebody- to turn into an arm.
Hey, he's got long hair coming out of his head in a kind of akward fashion, but long hair is cool, right? Not going to both installing batteries in this guy, though. Could use some light piping, I know I say that about everybody but on him it would be especially great because they could also have his mouth glow. His claws? yea, whatever, they're Snikt, but I gotta wonder why, asidde from the fact they they make it hard to type, would he ever bother to retract them? Anyway, when I bring him home, he's getting Overhail's key so he can use both of them,

You make it sound like having a dedicated arm module was imperative to this line; why on earth would this be?! I think it was a stupid idea even to attempt, quite frankly...

And what's all this about the 2-pack Vector Prime being warped?

If Prime has a socket to attacha a new arm, then I certainly think the line should include a new arm to plug into it. I mean is it any sillier than dedicated pants modules?

Because of the way he's packed, the wings and his sword as curved in a rather nasty fashion. And.... I shoud have researched this first!

Allspark posts

I just bought Vector Prime, and despite trying, I did end up with a bent wing. I know it's an easy fix, but since he's still tied down, should I try taking it back, or is this defect too common to be worth the effort? I've read the whole thread so I know about the other defects, I'd check mine for them too, but I don't know stores return policies these days once the twist ties are removed.

VP's wings are fixable. It's just the nature of the flexible plastic used to form them; if they're held in one position too long, they'll "permanently" be bent. Just heat the surfaces for a short bit with a hairdryer, and then press the two wings between a couple of books or something for maybe 15-20 minutes, to be sure.

My VP's winds are bent too, but not the sword.

I got the Race team the other night. I'm temped to get Bushguard just to beef up my decepticon forces, he's not that bad of a repaint.

Fair enough - I don't yet own 'Cybertron' Optimus (or any of the figures from this line, incidentally), so I wouldn't personally know about the arm attachment component. That said, does it actually have to be an arm that attaches to this; couldn't it equally be made to suit a cannon, or some such? Seems more plausable to me...

I'll have to keep an eye out for these warping issues when I go to pick up my Starscream/Vector Prime 2-pack - thanks for bringing this to my attention. Question; what is implied by "other defects"...?

Minicon smells of cabbage.
Actually I dunno!

And yea, I suppose Prime could hook up with a canon, that'd be nice. But I can only dream, since all he can hook up with is a Lion pretending to be an arm.

Sonic Bomber is more of an armor then a Limb.
