Quintilius tried to smile at his situation, but found he couldn't. His heart beat heavily, but he remained in controled of his breathing. Releasing a sight he held up his hands once more. "Show a little trust and gets turned on you. Well there is a reason the weapon is called the great equalizer." A dangerous situation if she understod the principle well, but there was the chance that he could still make it out alive for when he had held up his hands he had dropped the percusion cap and had crushed it under foot. "I would not like to die here, and I'm sure you don't need that weapon to do so."

"I don't want to kill you," the voice echoed and bounced around on seemingly nonexistant walls "I pay penance enough as it is. But I need you to understand that if I am to train you, you play under my rules and don't try to throw in any new ones of your own. You have to understand this at the outset, as I have no desire to continue shoudl this become a staple." she lowered the gun, which made a faint noise.

'I'll take it as a sign of trust like you said," and at that she dropped the cloak abruptly "but you don't need to pay me. I don't know what we are. Well, I do but I won't say it. Eventually we could be friends, and I think it's good that we hopefully sorted this out soon." she wanted to believe what he had just told her.

She could imagine Mordrid growing up to be like Quitilius, it made her smile right in front of the man. "Alright," she said, tucking the gun between the cords of her toga "I think I could really appreciate it. So tell me, the gun wouldn't have really killed you had I fired it, would it have?"

He gave an uneasy smile and rolled his eyes a bit, "It would have depending upon where it stuck and if you had noticed the percusion cap was missing, but if you had paid attention to what I had said you could probably have still gotten it to fire using your Ki, but other wise, yes it could very much have killed me, especially at that range."

"I had never planed on it happening, you simply took it before I had the chance to put it on. But I knew you where smart enough that if you had wanted to you could make it work. Hell with that Ki you could most likely make it backfire as well. It all depends upon how creative you want to get." He steped closer to her and placed a reasuring hand on her shoulder. "I am sorry that I antagonized you so, hopefully I won't be foolish to repeate the mistake."

His demeanor had changed even faster than her own. I should be leery, or happy? No, I'll choose the later. "It's accepted. Don't worry about it." she took the hand off her shoulders and motioned towards the doors "I'm famished. Where are your kitchens?'

"To be perfectly honest I don't really know, my staff seems to have a pathological fear that I'll either ruin what they are making or hurt myself in there. If you would like I'm sure we can order for something to be made unless you prefer to make it yourself in which case I'll finally get to see what is in there." He started back inside.

"No, just have them make whatever, I'm not a picky eater." It had been ages since servants had made her a meal. Most definatly something to look forward to. She had had only fond memories of it before.

"Then we can eat in the garden, I'll just have them prepare something plain and not too exotic." He spoke to a member of the staff, wine was shortly poured at a table and places sat. "Well would you care to join me for a meal?"

"Not much to tell really..." The conversation divulged into a conversation about his heritage and he asked her questions of her's some she answered some she declined. In the end the meal came and they ate cooked bird and continued with their small talk.
