Miller gave Lauren a sympathetic shrug, he knew Nita liked to be neat about things and the fact she hadn't tried to strangle him yet must mean he wasn't that much of a priority right now.
He shrugged again, "Wez animalz now, we do tendz to ummm stinkz a bit I guessz?" He looked away a bit blushing some, "I didn'tz... I wasnt'z all too soberz..." he mummbled, he looked back at the mixing comment, "First timez for... anythingz I guessz?" He could only catch a bit of her last comment and his face, no matter how many blue and white feathers covered it turned a brilliant shade of red. "I can'z agree to thatz..."

Lauren listened to his words, and caught every single one of them, no matter how jumbled. "You DIDN'T!?" She nearly yelled out. "Damnit Miller, you know you could at least LIE to me about that. How in the hell do you think that makes me feel?" After all that worrying, she was the one pouring her heart out to him. Seems like she projected her own feelings to her friend. "I mean DAMN, why the hell NOT?" Lauren got up and started paceing a bit running her claw through her hair, "This is all one huge mess, please tell me it will all just GO AWAY SOON."

Miller puffed up, "I DIDN'TZ MEAN C-A-N-T!" He huffed, "Damn itz that was the mostz funz I've hadz since I gotz on thiz damn islandz!" He beak snapped shut after that one his eyes going wide. Nita should kill him, now, just to keep his big beak shut.
He got up grabbing her by the shoulders turnning her about shakeing her gently. "It'z not going to goz away! We madez a mistakez and we can eitherz try to fix itz or letz it allz go to hellz!"

Lauren still felt angry but his shaking brought her to her senses a bit, but not after an audible hiss. "AGH! Sorry, it's hard to understand you sometimes and... I just jumped to conclusions." She tried to put on a smile, but her orange eyes were already filling with tears. "Warned ya I was crazy."
What he was saying now, made perfect sense, and Lauren had to agree, "I geuss you're right... One huge mistake..." Being this close, Lauren just wanted to get closer and she did. She landed in a hug and put her head on his shoulders as the tears came pouring down. "So... the best time you've HAD on the island? Really?" This time she hoped he wasn't lying to her. She couldn't say the same thing... but it was the best time she had with a guy ever. Surely that counted for something even if the competition was shitty.

Miller shrugged, "Ehz I don't blamez you, blamez Sabinz, he gavez meh thisz beak." He gave a quiet little chirp shaking his head, "Youz not crazy youz upset thatz allz."
He stumbled for a moment as Lauren threw her self in to his shoulder, he caught him self and hugged her back shushing at her quietly with a few little chirps. He nodded a bit patting the back of her head gently. "To be honestz I'vez neverz been in situationz likez thatz..." hell he had never even had much of a relation ship back home, here it didn't matter much since every one couldn't be too picky about who's who. It was either the guy with the feathers, the horse neck, or the frog guy really. "Come'onz..." he said quietly takeing her over to the bed sitting her down. "It'z gona be okayz wellz figure itz all outz."

Lauren sat down beside him, taking his invite with a nod, "I just.. got out of a relationship though. I don't want to be tied down Miller." she admitted to him. "Maybe we can just date or something? But be free to do whatever else?" She tossed out the suggestion. "I mean... gah that can't work can it? Do you have any bright ideas Mr. Lovebird?"

Miller chirped suddenly he hadn't expected that to come from Lauren. "Ummz well... I don'tz see much problemz with thatz... er wellz no thtaz wouldn'tz workz..." He shook his head letting out a depressed chirp falling back on the bed, "Diz loverbirdz cluelesz."

Lauren laughed slightly at the chirp then sighed, "Geuss we... just see what happens huh?" She asked as she cuddled up to him. "You're kind of like a down pillow." She remembered something he had mentioned, "Do you mean... I was your first?" She felt kind of proud of that if it were true and if it weren't ah well, it's not like he was hers.
But to make things worse, Lauren was remembering Nita again, "******** red heads." She said as she rolled onto her back and put her palms in her face in frustration, "s**t! Do I really smell that bad?"

Miller chirped at the down pillow comment happily and gave her a hug back, "Youz pretty softz your selfz yah knowz." He blinked and blushed again nodding slightly before hiding his face in the back of her shoulder chirping in embarrassment.
Miller looked up blinking and gave Lauren a noogie atop her head, "Helloz... bird herez... gota beekz... can'tz smellz a thing..."

Lauren smiled, "Well you were my first good male. I had one other..." She made a gesture with her fingers to indicate tiny, "But yeah he thought he was tough s**t and somehow was leader of the hive. a*****e..." Lauren said with a growl. It was obvious that this guy was a major jerk, and another large part of why Lauren was so messed up. "And.. yeah that's the only thing other than you that counts, male wise." She felt bad to be the experianced one here and also felt bad that she popped his cherry on the island while drunk.
Lauren sighed with relief at Miller's comment, even if he did noogie her, "Aww... lucky... I can smell everything! I only can't smell myself cause I'm use to it now." She tapped his beak with her claw playfully, "SO freakish..."

Miller raised an eyebrow, "Whom everz that iz, they aint'z here soz you don'tz need to worryz about em any morez." He shrugged, "Andz if he waz we couldz requestz he turn in tooz a bugz for squishinz." He had no idea just how much influence Lauren actually could have in such things, he still knew very little about her connection to the labs. So far he only really knew about Zach on that matter.
"Wellz... not smellingz meanz if I stinkz every one else canz smellz meh and notz tell meh!" He nipped with his beak pouting, "Youz gotz no roomz to speakz!" He pointed at her eyes "Youz got cubez for eyez and I gotz a beakz, we bothz freakz!"

"Damn right he's not here! And I wouldn't have to worry bout that cause you would so kick his a** with that lacross stick of yours." Lauren winked at Miller and gave him a little kiss on the beak. "I've never played lacross, think we could get a game going sometime so you can teach me? We had an island soccer game once, it didn't go all too well." She laughed at her memory of the failed soccer game and how her team lost so poorly.
Lauren sighed, "Cubes, and all this time I thought they were rectangles seeing as they are two dimensional." She rolled her eyes towards Miller. "Geuss I was wrong." Lauren started remembering the other subject at hand, "Hey... I geuss I should talk to Nita about all this mess... and just talk to her without yelling in general. I do still love her but damnit we are just so different. It just didn't work out, with the cleaning all the time and the not talking about my life at all and she sleeps CONSTANTLY now." Lauren sighed, "I mean I do LOVE her, she's a wonderful person but I just geuss I'm not good enough for her."

Miller laughed and nodded, "Justz for youz of coursez." he returned the kiss with a gentle nuzzle on the cheek with his beak. "Wed'z need anotherz stick since datz the only onez I broughtz with meh." He laughed, "I suckedz at soccer, trippedz over the ball allz the timez."
He rolled his eyes poking her in the forhead, "Smart azz!" He laughed falling silent as she started to talk about Nita again sending the budgie boy in to a rather depressed looking slump. "Ifz youz want I'll goez with you to dealz with it or notz if you don't wantz..." He tilted a head, "Cleaningz semiz over ratedz. As for your lifez you havn'tz talked much boutz the island onez." He ruffled her hair again gently, "It'z okay somethimez thingz don't workz too well... you can justz try and seez what happenz."

"Yeah, we would can you just play with two people?" Lauren asked. She really didn't know the first thing about lacross. "I used to be on the swim team, and the track team in high school. Made both my first year too. I played soccer in PE and also liked to play basketball for fun but my favorite thing was to go to the beach to surf and swim. I'm up for anything new!" This was exciting, doing something active. Lauren would rather be out and about then trapped in a duplex all the time, and loved to play right now.
"Well duh..." She commented to the smart a** thing. "I havn't talked about my life on the island?" Oh great, this was where things tend to fall to pieces. She did mention she was pro island... right? " Well... yeah... I take science lessons from Moreau, swim and surf a lot, draw... or used to before my hands became too deformed, play video games, and ur I'm working on getting a television station up and running for the island." Wow, she was busy.

Miller laughed and shook his head, "Noz not reallyz, we can practicez some and thatz aboutz all we can doz other then playz catch." He whistled and clapped for her, "Neverz did muchz more then playin bitz of lacrosse."
He tilted his head listening, and blinked, "Waitz so youz know onez of the lab peoplez like Zach thenz..." he frowned slightly but it wasn't an angry one more like a curious one of some one trying to figure something out. Were other islanders paired with a labtech? He shivered at the swimming, "I likedz to swim... tillz I nearly drownedz at Awenz when changinz... as for TV on the islandz that soundz pretty coolz."
