Heyheyhey!
What about Story Contests?
During Halloween we can do horror stories. The members can vote, and the favorite story can get a star or something. Just for when we're lazy and don't want to do battles.

Okay this may sound stupid, but how do we know if we have stars? Do we just keep checking the star tracker?

The crew member who appointed you the star should PM you to notify you when you have received a star. ^^

Come to think of it... Shouldn't we have classes considering Koi High is a school? I came to think about this when I looked at the star tracker thread, in which one of positions in gaining stars is Teacher/High Senior. I'd consider it reasonable since after an amount of stars met allows a member to become of the Teacher/High Senior level, it could alter the way a member RPs and how others RP with the user. Second, It would be pretty interesting to have a subforum full of classes. It'd be a new experience for all members, a subforum where members can study or just goof around in class.
However, there's another beneficial curve to this that I just thought up now. Perhaps, if there was time and effort put into it, we could make a system for the classes. The benefits? In truth, I'm not too sure. Perhaps if the student is commendable for their RPing skills, cooperation, etc., then they could earn stars.
That brings up the next question. Who would consider the members commendable for having stars? The teachers of course. That's where we could tie in my first thought about earning enough stars to become a Teacher/High Senior.
If we want this to work, the crew or moderators will have to start giving out stars more often so members can achieve the rank. After the rank is achieved, members can RP as teachers for classes in a Class Subforum. Then, they'll continue to give out stars, very slowly through time depending on how long they've cooperated in the class, their effort, and their RPing skills.
Also, due to the fact that many members might wish to become teachers (say myself for example), there should also be a certain amount of members that can be teachers. Let's say, every 20 members we have will allow another open position for a teacher.
Of course, there will probably be conflict over a position on who's teaching what as well. I think it'd probably be best if the first person that applies for the subject be the teacher for it. Now you're probably thinking that others would think it'd be unfair if the person didn't know about the guild soon enough and couldn't get the position. So I'm htinking that they cooperate in the same subject. It'd not only save space and prevent conflict over the subject position, but it'd also bring the members closer together so they get to know each other more.
I have taken the time of looking over this to see if there was anything that could/should be added or noted, and I came up with nothing. Of course, the writer would have a harder time finding flaws in their own work, so I need your help and opinion on it. If you see something wrong with it, go ahead and make note of it. I'm very sure this would be a great new experience for all members.
....now if you'll excuse me, I have a headache. It happens when I think too hard, which obviously shows how well I do in actual school.

That's a great suggestion, but my question is how would the classes work? Would it be on a time schedule or, most likely, would each class last a certain amount of days. The problem would be that if there WAS a real time schedule, then it would be rather difficult for people to be online since there are people that joined from all around the world. With the other suggestion, it would confine the RPC to a single room for a few real days and I don't think anyone would want that. So the question is, are we willing to give up our RPC and create more or will we simply have to wake up earlier and go on the computer at strange times of the day or night?
Another thing. When I rechecked the star system, I noticed that when you gather a star you move up another year. With this method, out RPC would only last for about a few months or so and then, they would be too old to be in High School and would be forced to work as management or leave entirely. If we used your suggestion, the entire star system would have to be changed. It wouldn't be a DRASTIC change, but it would be a bit of an incovenence to those who have FOUR stars. ( -cough- -cough- CHOCHOPYRO -cough- -cough- )

Good point. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be caged in a room for a long period of time. Perhaps there should be other methods for the Teachers. Teacher/High Seniors are offered a crew position, are they not? If I remember correctly, they are also the ones that appoint stars.
Hm, I guess their role stays the same as to appoint stars to those that deserve it... that's alot to think about now. If I think about it, it pretty much isn't any different than how the position already is. Crew position, Teacher/High Senior, appoints stars to those that are commendable for their RPing... damn. All that thinking for nothing.
Well, for the classroom it would definitly not be held in real time. It's just an easy come and go whenever you feel like it. But then again... it wouldn't make sense because they're classes...
Congratulations Zhuke, your idea got shot down. So much for thinking of a different way for people to earn stars easier.
By the way, I'm not quite sure what you mean inconvenience to those that have four stars. Aren't there about 11 ranks to make until you become a Teacher/Senior?
