One thing that drives me nuts in music is the abuse of hooks.
Hook: A hook is a musical idea, a passage or phrase, that is believed to be catchy and helps the song stand out, it is, "meant to catch the ear of the listener"
Used correctly, it does just that. I'm sure you've all heard it.
But there's a certain point where a hook stops being catchy and starts being some ******** annoying phrase THEY JUST KEEP ******** REPEATING AND MAKES ME HATE THE SONG.
It especially bugs me when it's an otherwise really good song. Franz Ferdinand's second album is rife with such songs, the most irritating example being "This Boy".
Yeah, I'm done. >>
That dream is still bugging me.

What's worse with that situation is when the particular phrase gets stuck in your head and won't stop repeating over and over again all day long. It's the sort of thing that keeps you awake at night because you can't get your brain off replay.

Satah: *Sitting in Civics, staring at the board and twitching* On Loop In Brain Jukebox: Want a man to rock me like my backbone was his own... *Rewind* Want a man to rock me like my backbone was his own... *Rewind* Want a-- Satah: *Bashes head against desk* Natelea and Lizz: *Stare in slight shock*

*Ominous orchestral music in the background, accompanied by rapid rotating shot around Satah, zooming in on her twitching eye*
*Panic! At The Disco starts to play faintly, gradually crescendoing into an explosion of black eyeliner*
*Satah breaks down in a fit of twitchy, foamy, convulsey agony, complete with anguished screams, flailing of the limbs and ripping out of the hair*
STUCK

*Slowly zooms out of the room*
*Screams linger for a while longer and then suddenly cut off*
*Fade clip*

The Rooms have a hint of Asbestos, and maybe just a dash of formaldehyde, and the habit of decomposing right before your very eyes, along with the people inside.

This should so not bother me as much as it does. But... It does! AUGHADKSODKFSDBLSKDTG
*Rocks back and forth* Worst cause of death ever.
"Here lies Satah.
She was driven to the brink of insanity by nazi math teachers, poems that would not allow her to write past the first few lines and a sadistic goth girl who keeps talking to her in her sleep and ended up throwing herself out a high window after she was pushed over the edge of madness by her speakers. Which didn't work.
Pieces of s**t."
WHY DO THINGS THAT PLAY SOUND HATE ME?! Headphones kill themselves when they get near me! I got new speakers because my old ones would only play when put at half-volume or three-quarter volume! Within a week, the left one conked out. I told my dad, but he didn't bother about it until far after the warranty had expired.
So I try my old speakers again. They were working okay, though still bitchy. Then they start only playing when the volume is at, like, five-eighths of the way up. That's fine. I just don't touch them.
BUT NOW! ******** NOW! THE GODDAMN POWER BUTTON WON'T STAY IN AND IT'S DRIVING ME MAD!
I've tried tape. I've tried everything. It's not working. They refuse to stay turned on. Erin's like "Calm down!" and I'm like "I would, if my speakers would let me listen to something to calm me down!"
*Spazzes out* And that stereo my dad bought me for Christmas ******** started to emit smoke from the top one night. Appetite For Destruction is still in there. And now this piece of crap (*Throws old but, up until now, reliable stereo against wall with enough force to cause a noticeable dent and send bits flying everywhere*) has stopped turning on.
WHY DOST THOU HATE ME, O GREAT GODS OF SOUND?!
All I want to do is listen to that Jewel song so I can sing it and get it out of my head D< I swear, just work for half an hour..? ;3; MAYBE?!
THIS SHOULD SO NOT BE PISSING ME OFF AS MUCH AS IT IS!
*Takes a drama queeny shitfit*
I always get the most irritated at the smallest things. >_> The big things never get this much of a reaction out of me. Good god. *Bashes head against desk a few times for good measure*
Ohhhhh and now there's a scale in the bathroom. *Goes crazy* It shouldn't have bugged me that much that he decided to dig it out -right then-. I know it shouldn't. I mean, he did say it was for him and I guess that's passable. But like... He has called me overweight and is always reminding me to eat and stuff..? I'm being over-sensitive.
I'M SOOO OVER-SENSITIVE D<
Heh~ Pain receptor organ. *Throws arms out in a dramatic pose*
Oww my pain receptor organ. THE PAIN IT HURTS ME. >>;
Damnit, I walk like a girl and shut up, I don't have nice legs.
But I apparently look good in heels?

Nazi Teachers are Common. plot their death from the back of the room.
The Poem... That always sucks. D:
The Speakers... o_o s**t, that's bad. D: Not often do I hear of suck evil speakers.
Oh, By the Way, did you try super Glue? it might work.
Stereo's now tend to break for the stupidest reasons. D: Leaving them on, turning them past a certain volume (Why do they even have that volume then?) and a few others... But the older one, well that's just pissy. At-least you didn't have the randomly volume choosing stereo. >.<
Said stereo: *Normal* Storming through the par- *Almost no sound* -ty like my name wa- *More then max ever was* -S EL NINO!
Drove me ******** nuts, 'til I got the comp-speakers I have now. Medium up is almost too toast to be heard though.
So, yeah, sound problems suck. D:
Please don't hurt that wall. D: Or your head. D:
Satah does not look over-weight, and I think her Dad's been smoking something. Or thinks everyone needs to be anorexic. In either case, I think he's... Special.
You're not over-sensitive. D:
You just get pissed at all the little s**t that happens. Like me.
*Can't think of anything else to say*

[completely off topic] I hate it when you are playing a video game and you are so creeped out scared and nervous and on the edge and then suddenly SOMETHING JUMPS OUT AT YOU. And you proceed to scream and throws the controller whilst huddling in a small ball and whimpering and then your character is mauled by said creature and GAME OVER, b***h. ... crying
