She nodded happily. "Yea. We can poke him to reveal his secrets of waterness!" Only not quite but still. "Well ok, that sounded funny. But the point still stands. We'll have to do that." Hopefully Demyx could give them an answer too

Kaleb laughed a bit, they weren't getting much studying done, but he found he didn't mind so much. "He seems to be able to use water magic without thinking about how he does it, I wonder how we would figure it out if he didn't know the answer..."

She opened her mouth to answer that then snapped it shut with a slightly pout. "That's a good question."
Luxord did that too. He seemed to just do things without thinking about them, but she wasnt even really sure what his powers were in the first place.

Kaleb wore a slight frown as he considered the idea. "I don't know how Demyx can do it, I've never tried using magic without thinking about what I'm doing. I'd be afraid of making a mistake and getting someone hurt."

"I think it has something to do with what he is." She tilted her head slightly. "They are something strange and i think it gives them really strong powers. So maybe none of them really have to think about it"

Kaleb chewed on a thumbnail for a minute. "I never thought of him as any different, but he did mention something about it. That must be it." He glanced over at her curiously. "If Demyx and Luxord are different, are you different too?"

She paused for a moment. "I dont know." She looked up at the rain falling onto the shield. "Father says i am different but not different like he and Dad are different. Its something about their hearts i think"

Kaleb smiled. "It must be a physiological thing, Demyx is one of the kindest audio I know." His smile turned a bit more enthusiastic. "But if you can use magic like they can, without thinking about it, you'll have to show me sometime."

She hadnt tried making anything else so she didnt know if she could without thinking about it

Kaleb nodded, understanding what she meant about the portals. "I don't have to think about a lot of my spells anymore, but the first time I try one I really need to know exactly what I'm doing. Perhaps if you are like Demyx and Luxord, portals aren't your thing, and you'll be amazing once you find what you're naturally good at."

"i wonder" She though about the fog idea they'd come up with eariler and wondered if she could actually do it. Technally she should have an advantage to making water things.
She held out one hand, chewing on her tongue, and after a few minuets a little cloud of fog appeared around her paw. "Oooh!"

Kaleb's eyes widened, and then he grinned lopsidedly. "That was pretty amazing, I couldn't ever do something like that without knowing something about the magic first."

The fog disapated after a few moments. "Drat .... i guess i can make it but i cant keep it around." She huffed at her hand like it was somehow it's fault then grinned at Kaleb.
"I guess i can make fog"
