In fact, I don't recall any MOMENT in the game that showed a slight HINT of stalking. I prove my point.

Hm...I don't like any Marlene or Shelke pairings. Marlene is a little kid and Shelke? Eh heh, she just doesn't strike me as the loving type. Anyway...!
I was reading earlier posts in this thread and I wanna know why people don't like Yuffentine? Those who think it doesn't make sense should read my long post in the Yuffentine thread. I got facts people!

Argh... CloudxTifa.
Sorry, guys. XD;;
I just think that Cloud was able to be Cloud for Aeris, but Cloud had to be some knight in shining armour for Tifa, what with the promise (that he already fulfilled once) and all. That crap would stress me out. I'd be like a chocobo that ate some questionable greens. I guess you can argue that Cloud had to be a bodyguard for Aeris, if it weren't for the fact that she didn't constantly bring it up, unlike Tifa who seemingly had to bring up the promise several times for Cloud's benefit. (I think! Haven't read the script recently.)
Now, I'm going based on FFVII only, because in FFVII:AC she (sort of) abandons the "Cloud will rescue me if I'm in a bind" mentality. But, I mean, it begins in FFVII.
HOWEVER, that is not to say I'm a CloudxAeris fan. I'm just putting my vote in for Aeris if I had to choose between Aeris and Tifa. If you brought Jessie into the equation, then I'm all over that.
Also, and most importantly, I'm sick of the childhood friends hooking up in nearly every single bleeding game/anime/show. Granted, they weren't childhood buddies, but the player believes it to be true for the first good half of the game. Ergh.
I'm done opening this can of worms.

Pairings for me: Yuffie/Vincent: I'm sorry, but I know opposites go together, but this is two extremes. Two extremes never should go together. I think what I wanted to point out was that Tifa is emotionally unstable, as seen by her dependency on Cloud, whereas Aeris is more stable, and that would be a more healthy choice for Cloud. Then again, fools in love might not always do what's best for them.

Anyone with Hojo.... he's so nasty and crazy! Sorry, I just can't get the image of him turning into a monster out of my head... gross~!
Cloud & Aeris. To me, I feel like Cloud is replacing what he missed or forgot in life and missing his mother. Aeris filled the side Cloud didn't have or lost which was the childish (playful) actions (since he was a solider), the loving care, gentle love, emotional support, and to be protected (since he was always expected to protect others). Aeris is more of a mother than a lover. Maybe a "childish" mother hehehe.
Also, she probably has some personalities that were similar to Zack and made him want to be near Aeris more. But when he lost Zack... he couldn't take losing Aeris which is like Zack--Those that went out of their own trouble to help Cloud and make him enjoy living. I'm probably not saying it well enough but that's how I feel. She's more of the mother figure in his life... and a boy always needs a mother no matter how old they get. But I do believe they love each other--just not the kind of love that they would hook-up.
I support Zack & Aeris' love! Cuz Aeris usually mentions Zack and even though she probably knew he can't come back... she'll always love him first and last~ Ahh, true love!
Just an opinion~

She immediately attaches herself to the first guy that reminds her of Zack, then asks this stranger out on a date when she doesn't even know him. Then takes him home to meet her mom and then doesn't let him leave without her, then follows him even though he tries to ditch her a few times. And what do you say about a 22 year old woman that has a job, still living with her mother? Aeris doesn’t sound stable at all. It’s Aeris that’s always literality clinging to Cloud while Tifa stands on the side and watches. If anything, Aeris sounds like a despite nut case. There is little to nothing about Aeris that says "independent" or "emotionally stable." Now for Tifa… Tifa’s mom died when she was 14 and then her dad was murdered by Sephiroth at age 16. She was taken in by a martial artiest who taught her to fight and defend herself. Then at some point even that guy dies. Tifa was by herself, without the love and support of family or friends, for a long time. It was Tifa who meet Barret and decided to create Avalanche. It was Tifa that opened up the 7th Heaven bar and made a hid away for Avalanche. It was Tifa that worked her a** off to support everyone in Avalanche. It was Tifa that kept everyone including Cloud together. It was Tifa that was willing step back and let Aeris develop a relationship with Cloud even though she had been in love with him since she was a kid. It was Tifa that helped Cloud regain his own memories back. Now how can an emotionally unstable person manage to do all of that practically by herself? The fact stands that if Tifa were truly emotional unstable she would have had a nerves breakdown a long time ago. Just because she wants the love and emotional support of the one person she loves most in the world, doesn’t mean she’s unstable, and to be completely honest, I’m sick of hearing it because it’s a load of BS.

I have not said that Tifa isn't strong by herself; she has to be, how else would she have been able to survive all those years? I'm saying, when you throw Cloud into the picture, she's a wreck. She has been so alone, unable to emotionally depend on someone, that, I feel, once she had someone to hold on to, she kind of over-did it on the emotional needy-ness. Which is understable considering her circumstances. Poor girl, she suffered a lot.
And, I'm sorry, since when was it "emotionally unstable" for a woman to stay with her mom and work as a flower girl to sustain their livelihood? Elmyra (Elvyra? don't remember) must have given so much to Aeris, but in your opinion, to pay it back is a sign that Aeris is looney tunes. We don't even know if Elmyra works! Yeah, poverty is the reward for years of Cetra rearing! That's the sane thing to do! Hell, a lot of people take their parents in when they become elderly. YES. We're all crazy chocobos here!! I KNEW IT.

Aeris, unless I'm mistaken, doesn't turn into Cream of Cetra. She visits him in his dream and I paraphrase, says, "Don't worry, buddy. It's not your fault." She's not all CLOUD HIT ME, CLOUD HATES ME, CLOUD THIS CLOUD THAT.
And since when did Tifa state that she was in love with Cloud when they were younger? As far as I can remember, she was aware of his existence, but not IN LOVE with him. Who knows? Evidently you do, Tifa Whisperer.
Anyway, we can argue this forever, say whatever you want to say, I have nothing further to say to you. You are notorious for twisting things waaaay out of context. Before you jump on me saying, "SINCE WHEN?!?!?!" I'm sure there are others who feel the same.

so god knows what he coulda done to 'em.
after all, Ifalna dies right after escapin'!
and Aeris was like, what? seven?
seven years of bein' treated like a lab experiment
musta affected her greatly.
not ta mention that her mother DIES
right in front of her at the train station.
it musta been scary, havin' Hojo come into your cell
sayin' he just wants ta "talk" to yer mom.
he takes her away,
an' she comes back all comatose.
meanwhile, at da same time...
Tifa's havin' fun in Nibelheim.
until her mom dies, at least.

i'm on topic again! Yeah I remember that Aeris had a pretty bad life and she is very optimistic. It's not her optimism that says "weird" to me, It's her constant bad decision making, especially when the right decision is more then obvious.
