Shae saw him fiddling with his kunai, and throwing it. No matter her speed, a projectile was a projectile, she wouldnt' be able to stop it, even with her whole body. Things slowed down as she saw the knife go, her hand went for his arms, trying to knock them askew, just enough to knock his aim, just the tiniest bit. Digging her claws into his arms, she drew blood, and pulling herself forward, and him inward, propelled her rising foot into his groin. The initial spear hand strike to his solar plexus had hurt her hand... She guessed a few broken bones, for she was heavily favouriting her right hand.

Her knock may have been enoug... she hoped it might be enough. "GRANU! WAKE UP!" she screamed at the top of her lungs, it came out as more of a howling screech than anything, she hoped that he moved.

Oh gods she hoped.

Not so quick to drop her guard, Shae's growls were still going, though they stayed in her chest, not making as much noise. She had jumped and backed away when he had fallen, and she had moved moved back into a defensive. Her arms were in ready blocking positions, and there were afew lacerations on her skin from where she had hit aside his knifes, but other than that, nothing.

He wasn't fighting me... Shae knew she could fight, but she was also very aware that sometimes, she could be over powered. That was why she always gave her all in a fight, because if she didn't take them down in the first round, in the second round they'd know her limits and be ready for her, and she wouldn't be coming back for a third round.

"Granu... Who is this man, and why is he trying to kill you?" She tried to keep her voice calm, but with her hackles up like that, couldn't stop the growl underneath, and her voice was still lower.

[ a mcninja is a ninja from scotland! they discovered their ninja-ness when pirates attacked, and they fought back using froze clovers as shuriken... read dr. mcninja and you'll get it. and i know what his name means! ]

Shae didn't budge, still glaring at Ahriman. "I'm a girl and I'm his friend, yes. I'm no one's but my own." The hairs on the back of her neck were still up with fear and adrenaline. Can't hurt a fly? Who is he kidding?! Without taking her eyes off Ahriman, she tried to mentally scream at Granu MOVE!!! GET AWAY FROM HIM!!!!

"If he couldn't hurt a fly, why was he in here, trying to kill... me a minute ago?" She asked. She knew he had come for Granu, or she had thought. Isn't that what he had said when he had shown up, that if she let him kill Granu, he'd leave her alone? What was with these false faces? But... with granu seeming so buddy-buddy with him... she didn't have the heart to tell him that his friend was out for his blood.

Wait, what? OF COURSE SHE DID! This was bigger than 'hurting feeling' this was a matter of life and death, and SHE would kill him if it meant sparing his 'feelings'?! Well, when you put it like that, it seems kind of stupid... "Granu, he came in here for your head." she said in a clear voice.

"What?" THAT shocked shae. I mean, sure she didn't really like the guy, but he was nice enough when he wasn't being confusing. This was what happened when you 'just did your job' without asking questions.

"Let me guess, it was only your job?" She growled again. She KNEW he couldn't be trusted. "Excuses! filthy excuses from filthy scum! There is always a choice, and you always have freewill. Just because it's 'your job' doesn't make you any less responsible!" The choices aren't always steller, but they are THERE and if you cared enough, you could change things. She glared daggers at him, wondering if she was allowed to attack an unarmed man?

She was VERY tempted.

Shae stayed her hand. this was Granu's fight, his battle, his pride, his brother, his friend. She had no business... NO! This is fool's talk! If you weren't in this, your like wouldn't have been threatened, and you would be well on the other wise of the country by now!

Then why am I still here?

Even though she fought best tooth and nail, she felt defensless without a weapon, so she slowly reached a hand over to her night stand where she had left her manicure kit. The Nail file would work nicely. While they were distracted, she listened to their conversation, trying not to become too alarmed, or too curious (for the time being. There would be question time later), she grabbed her nail file. Shae couldn't attack with it, but she could carve an eye out with it, and that was all she needed.

So... he's not dead yet? Is there time for prevention? Should we? What am I supposed to do? She just wanted to run away from the entire mess... It was too complicated. Why was all this happening? You've done it before, you can do it again... Just run. Her eyes darted towards the door, and back to them.

Shae missed that part of the conversation, she had slipped out the door at 'ye mind granu'. She didn't know where, and she ddin't know why. She just knew her feet were moving faster than her mind. Why am I running? Am I scared, am I really leaving granu to fend for himself? Heartless COWARD! She screamed at herself mentally. She ran with the wind, desperate to escape the ever complex situation. There were too many people, too many dangers, and too many unknowns. She didn't know left from right, up from down, who from who... what side was she on anyways? Who could she trust?
It seemed that she couldnt even get a strait answer from Granu. She felt as lost as she had to begin with, and just kept running with no direction. The moon lent her strength, her fear lent her speed, and somewhere in her subconscious, something gave her direction. She found herself not where she had intended to run to (the forest), but probably the last place she wanted to be.
No... I can't go in there... She looked at the cathedral with horror. I'll die...
That's a choice you'll have to make... practice what you preach...

Seth helped Kaname take Venessa to the girls dorm. He followed Kanme's lead since he was not sure if Venessa had a room yet. He helped to set her down on the bed in the room that they were given by the people near the dorms entrance. Seth just looked down at Venessa and just thought about what he could do. He knew she needed blood but he wasn't sure how to get the blood, suddenly it hit him, boy was he being stupid. He tunred to Kaname and thought of the best way to say what was on his mind.

'Look we have to help her somehow. I'm no expert in vampire biology but I'm pretty sure that if you guys go without blood its a bad thing right? Is there anything I can do? I'll even offer up myself as long as I can help her. Please just tell me what I can do."

Seth's mind was racing he knew that she needed blood and he was willing to offer his won, he just wasn't sure if it was a good idea, but right now to help her he had no choice.

Seth sat down, feeling completely drained, what he had just witnessed was surely not something meant for his eyes. He was releived that Zero hadn't chosen to simply attack him while Venessa was feeling ill, but he was desturbed by the way Zero had looked during the whole blood drinking, his face just looked so smug. He senesed some anger being repressed by Kaname but dscided that to question him on it would lead to further discussion about his own powers.

"So what exactly did I just witness, and why was it a crime? Oh and one more thing, what did you mean by infected? Did you mean I would become a vampire? Is it really painful to go through the thing? But I don't agree with you when you said she could kill me. I've got surprisingly good luck, and I've been through lots of injuries where I've lost more blood then a normal person would, I probably survived due to my ice powers freezing the flow of blood in me."

Seth knew that saying that would cause some questions, but maybe it was alright to tell Kaname about his powers.
