Slowing to a stop as she enters an unfamiliar place, the pup known as Sauda glances around curiously. Her wet, little nose was going crazy with all the new smells. She had been chasing a butterfly but had lost sight of it in this place.
Oh well.. she thought. I'm sure there will be other butterflies, and other bugs to chase. Well.. that is when I find out where I am.. she finished, sitting onto her rump and glancing around a bit at her surroundings. Pile of bones. Skull. Legbone of some poor, large beast.. This certainly wasn't a pleasant place she'd found. With a small yawn, she stands and shakes her head about, needing to wake herself up. Her ears twitched slightly as she told herself she had to find others.. or food. Yes, food was good. She missed food. And she missed her mother and father. Curling up on a fairly smooth patch of dirt, she rests her head on her paws and closes her eyes, thinking of her loving parents, wondering what had happened after she got seperated.
((Not a very good post, but it'll do for a first appearance. ^^))

Waking up from her brief nap, Sauda sits up slowly and stretches, offering another glance around. She had already decided that she needed to find a companion of some sort to keep her company until she was able to find her way back out of this place. Her stomach was beginning to rumble and she let out a bit of a sigh, "Great.. now I'm getting hungry.." she states, to noone in particular.
Her mind began to wander as she sat there, quietly panting some. She thought of her mother, what a gentle soul she was, with her lovely brown eyes and soft, melodic voice. And her father, such a brave and caring male. She loved her parents dearly. "Snap out of it, Sauda! You have to get out of here in order to see them again.." she says, shaking her head a bit. How long had she been sitting there? Well, there were more important things to think of than reminiscing. There would be time for that later, she hoped. She knew she would need to eat soon, and sitting around feeling sorry for herself wasn't helping her situation any.
With one final glance around, she decides to go and search for the other inhabitants, carefully picking her way around the bones and carcasses so as not to direct any unwanted attention to herself. After a while, Sauda's legs began to get a bit sore, so she decided to take a rest.
Scanning the area for a suitable place, she's somewhat relieved to see a smooth place, void of any sharp bones. Padding over, she slumps over onto her side and sniffs at the air, hoping to find some sign of others. Spotting a bone with a scrap of meat still attached, she cheers inwardly and snatches it up, dragging it back to her resting place before beginning to somewhat quietly gnaw at it, savoring the meat slowly. Oh, it tasted wonderful, she thought, then again, she hadn't eaten in a while so she was grateful for whatever she could get.
Having sated her hunger for now, she began to get sleepy again, resting her head upon her paws as her eyes drooped closed. Drifting off into a restful sleep, her tail curls up over her eyes and her ears remain perked for any sounds.

Mafa crept along slolwy, her senses at full alert. The graveyard seemed to be teeming with life that day, and in 'teeming with life' that meeant more that one being was moving around at a time. She sniffed at the air and a stranger scent came across, that of another hyena. This puzzled her, since when were there hyena other than herself, Banzai and his clan, and those other pups around? She slowled even more, with the smell of that new hyena came the smell of meat, it was old, but still it carried a pleasant scent, one that could easily make Mafa drool. Her mean expression hardened as she closed in on this other hyena, not really caring if she had lost Taabs yet or not. She stopped as she spotted a pup, much like herself settling down for a nap, a bare bone infront of it. Mafa growled slightly and sped up to face the pup. She now stood, looming over the other,
"Who are you? And what are you doing here?"
Banzai wasn't gonna like this, not at all, and neither was she. The last thing she needed was another pup that would divert Banzai's attention away from her and to the new pup; but wait, she wasn't supposed to care about that anymore. She pushed those thoughts aside and glared down at the pup.

Sauda's nose twitched some with the arrival of a new scent, and she flicked her ears some, opening an eye to look up at the one that had spoken. Just a pup like herself, she thought, sitting up slowly to get a better look at this new pup. She discreetly sniffed at the newcomer and looked her over.
"The name's Sauda. I got seperated from my folks when I was chasing a butterfly. Wandered in here and got a bit lost. Found some food and was about to take a nap until you showed up." she answered with a half smile. Well, she had wanted company and here she had found, though indirectly, another hyena. Even if this newcomer did seem a bit cranky. With a slight shrug, she glanced around a bit more. "Look.. I don't want any trouble, I'll just stay out of your way and you can just forget you ever saw me. All I really want is to find my way out of here and get back to my family."

Mafa huffed, a butterfly? How lame was that? She had to shut herself up, chasing butterflys was something she had been doing until a few days ago. She shook her head randomly at the pup,
"There's no use, you'll never find them, or worse, you'll find them dead, trust me on that..."
She flinched a bit as she said that, it was harsh but true, her life story. She kind of felt bad for the pup, she hadn't done anything to deserve being left all alone in the graveyard, but then again she didn't want the pup following her around and such, confusion confusion.
"Well you do that, I'm Mafa, and the rat lion behind me somewhere is Taabadu. I'll stick around here for the time being, wait for the runt to catch up and such..."

Sauda nodded some and returned her gaze to Mafa, tilting her head some as the other huffed. What's her problem? she thought as she turned her nose up and sniffs at the air once more. "Alright then, you just barely missed a veritable feast." she says, motioning toward the bone. "And I don't think that my folks are dead.. at least I hope not."
She takes a moment to study Mafa, noting the simlitarities as she makes a mental picture. Greyish fur, black paws, green eyes. Kinda like me.. she thought. "You said you're traveling with a lion?" she asks quietly. Since when did lions and hyenas travel together?
"Well, you're welcome to sit and wait for your friend. I was beginning to think I'd never find anyone in here. Lucky you came along, eh?"

Mafa sat down next to the cub and shifted about a little. It was a bit odd that she was hanging around with a lion but to tell the truth she didn't even think of him as a lion anymore, he was a little hyena. She shrugged a bit,
"We just wandered out to get some food, there are others around, looking for a couple of the adults my self"
Of course by this she meant Shenzi and Ed. Not that she wanted them to come back, then Banzai'd leaver her for sure. She nodded at the other pup. If she hadn't come along, it probably would have been a while till she would see anyone else; the graveyard was massive.
"can't wait long, I'm sure he'll be around, I'm mighty hungry, gotta go find food"

Stifling a yawn, she begins to carefully groom at her tail and paws. Her fur had begun to get a bit dusty and it was starting to bother her. She liked to try and keep clean if it was at all possible. Nodding again, she glances in the direction Mafa had come, "Well, you're welcome to stay as long as you want. Not like I own this little part anyway so it doesn't matter if I say that you're welcome though, does it? she asks, trying to create some humor.
"If I knew you were going to show up or if you had gotten here a bit sooner, I'd have shared the bone.. though it wasn't much. I hope you find the ones you're looking for too."
Satisfied that enough of the dust was gone, she stretches out on her stomach and rests her head on her paws, her tail swaying about lazily as she watches the new pup quietly.

((Well, since everyone seems to have forgotten about Sauda, I'll just continue. xp ))
Sauda opened her eyes slowly and glanced around, she must've dozed off in front of the other pup. Oh well, she thought as she rose to her feet and stretched some before beginning to pad slowly in the direction she had originally been going. "Hmm.."

Mafa hadn't budged an inch from her spot while the other pup sat. She was tired, her day of trauma was still going and she had no mood on doing anything. She glared at the pup,
"I'm not looking for anyone, no one to look for.... And I'm the one that's supposed to tell you that you can stay here, this place is the clan's..."
Mafa grimmaced, was she part of the clan? She doubted it but she would say she was for the moment, it gave her something to look forward to... Something to come back to. She sighed and hopped off the bone she had sat on and padded off quickly, turning her head to Sauda a faint smile coming to her maw,
"if you're still hungry you can tag along I guess"
((Sorry I was gone, I had nothing to RP about. I suggest we take the pups out of the graveyard and to some other place, there's nothing to do here and I think Purr is gone T^T))

Sauda nodded some and stretched idly before rising to follow along after Mafa, her tail twitching slightly. "Oh, I hadn't realized this place belonged to anyone.. it just seems so.. dreary. Didn't think anyone would willingly claim it." she replied quietly. She was still a bit hungry and this Mafa was really the only one she'd met so far. It seemed logical to stick close to her, for the time being anyway.
"So, where are we headed then?"she called as she kept a steady pace following Mafa, wondering slightly where the other pup was leading her.
((*hugs and pets* Hehe, it's ok. I know how you feel actually. I get that way sometimes. ^^ Where should we take them then? I'll let you decide. ^^))

Mafa scoffed, she assumed that this land had been taken for quite some time as barren as it was it was still home to the pup. Her pace slowed, she hadn't really been out of the graveyard too much if at all. There was that one incident when she had met Banzai but that was it. She sighed, maybe they'd go somewhere where there weren't many lions. Those savage beasts, she had gone from being terrified of the things to loathing them. She frowned again and turned back to Sauda,
"I don't know, lets just keep going... We'll see where we end up..."
((I'm thinking the South lands or Pridelands, since they might be relatively close to the graveyard biggrin ))
