Hikari no Piramiddo is 'Pyramid of Light' which is the 'YUGIOH! MOIVE' they unleashed in america, which was actually a series of episodes very similar to Capsule Monsters. (Remember that blue pyramid from the movie? The 'Pyramid of Light'? THat's where the name comes from. I was surprised to find out it had an actual name instead of just 'THE YUGIOH MOVIE'. But then seeing it called 'Kaiba the Movie' was just... alittle weird. Any movie called that... well... I imagine seeing Seto sitting in his office for about three hours doing nothing but boring s**t, then exiting around 4:30 in the morning to go take a shower and return at 5:30 for another day of work. *nods* It's like, 'Day in the life of Seto Kaiba'. I don't think tickets would sell very well.
...CapMon is what they call it in the manga. I could see them calling it that in Japan...

...Speaking of CapMon... I really would like a chance to play that game the way it was played in the manga. I'd also like to play Magic and Wizards, DDM, and I'd REALLY like to play Monster World... And I'd REALLLLLLLLY like to play it with Bakura. *ahem* heart

I also wouldn't be surprised if the Japanese just plain-out called it "Capsule Monsters." I'm pretty sure that's what they called the game Mokuba and Yuugi played in the earlier manga at least. They could say the same thing in Japanese, but it just sounds like one of those terms that the Japanese would say in English. I really wanna play Capsule Monsters and Monster World too though! D: I have tried DDM, and it was pretty fun except that it was only a starter set, so wasn't very in-depth. But isn't Magic and Wizards just the older title of Duel Monsters...? o.o

Well I thought I heard them say 'CapMon' in the first anime, so that's where the thought came from. *shrugs* It doesn't matter thought. When I say I'd like to play these games, I mean EXACTLY how they were played originally when Takahashi-san made them. I'd like to play DDM on Otogi's awesome board of doom where he and yuugi played ((Minus the creepy old gay clown man)). I don't think the board games you get here are the same, but that's just my opinion. I'd also like to try playing it the way they did in the anime. THAT would be cool. *nods* Yeah, Magic and Wizards is how Duel Monsters started out, but they played on a board and things were a lot different. ((Remember how they played it in season zero? That's what I mean.)) And playing Dragon Cards would be fun too, though I really wouldn't want to play the ACTUAL game because I have no soul to wager. *nods*
Ah, and I've just found the version of Capsule monsters with Japanese audio and english subtitles. Walked right past me. It's kinda like the YUUGIOU uncut. **which means Dan isn't allowed to curse** Except... They had to have done something different, but I don't know what.. *waits till it gets here to find out*

Ah, well that's where we're misunderstanding eachother then. XD;; I've only seen like... two episodes of the first series... and one didn't even have subtitles. I've been referring to the early manga in both "Capsule Monsters" and Magic and Wizards. XD;; (it was virtually played the same as in duelist kingdom, except without holograms) I didn't know they played it differently in the first series... o.o But then again, it was pretty funky in the "movie." But cool; you'll have to tell us how Capsule Monsters is in Japanese. ^^

=^_^= The first series is really great, but I'd like to get it on DVD ((Actually since it's so old, wouldn't it be VHS???)) but I can't find it. I'd take it even without subtitles. *sighs* I'll note the differences in capsule monsters, definantly. But I wish for just one freaking moment they would shove Bakura in the movies/mini-series... I mean for godsake he's absent in BOTH movies. *shakes head* I don't know about the season zero movie however... Never seen that one... *sighs*

Sometimes you can find first series fan-recorded on tape (possibly even fan-subbed) though I think it would actually be more probable to find on DVD. Subtitles would be pushing it though. As for the "movie," it's extremely easy to find on ebay for cheap; it's also on DVD and has crappy English subtitles. It's really sucky though... it's only like a half hour and is just about this whiney kid named Shougo who steals Jounouchi's role as the Red Eyes owner. stare You really aren't missing much. It's total crap compared to the rest of the first series.

*huge eyes* Exactly where could I find that movie? I can't find it on ebay... can you tell me where you think it would be, please??? Ah, or what it's called so I can search for it. *sobs* I'm one of those Yuugiou fans that just likes it because it's yuugiou. Plus Seto's in it. heart *flail* If you ever find the first series on DVD PLEASE *begs* let me know about it. =^^=

That's strange... that movie used to be all over Ebay, but now I can't find it anywhere. o.o I bought it along with the first four box sets of YUU*GI*OU, all in Japanese. It was its own separate DVD... it shouldn't be hard to find since they made official DVDs for it. It was even in theaters in Japan! So weird... this was all I could really find on it though: http://www.lelola.net/yu-gi-oh/movie.shtml I used to always buy Japanese YUU*GI*OU stuff off Ebay, but now I'm having a hard time finding any DVDs in Japanese! o.o But what is funny about the movie is that it's the only Toei thing where Kaiba has his actual hair and eye colors. XD;; Gosh... I feel bad now. ^^;; If my computer could play DVDs I'd upload it to YouTube for you or something... And... if I ever find the first series on DVD again, I can't guarantee I'll tell you... because there will probably only be one set, and I'd wanna buy it myself. XD;; Sorry for my imense selfishness...

Hey, we're only human right? ^^ I understand. But I wouldn't be pissed off if you did that... I'd just like to know if you ever find a place that has sold DVD's at least in the past. But if you don't feel like it, that's fine. >.> They've got it for rent but I can't buy it. Well... I guess I could totally rent it and *cough* Oh gosh, I think I lost it! *shoves under bed with foot* How much do I have to compensate you for your loss? XD Actually... I think I'm gonna do that. >.>

Akila feels very lost... but erm.. good luck with finding the DVD's guys?
I think I'd prefer to get my wallet through buying all the manga first, and then worry about the DVD's....
Haha, and M2K, go for it. You'll have to pay a late fee, but... you'll get yer DVD. *grin*

@Marik: XD Well um... I've only found them on DVD once ever, and it was just an obscure little auction on Ebay. I didn't have money at the time, not to mention it didn't seem very trustworthy so... But actually, renting will probably be better. ^^ Because then you can at least see it, but you won't have to endure the guilt of knowing you actually purchased (and therefore now own) something so absolutely horrible... @Akila: I started collecting the DVDs before Shonen Jump brought us the manga so... I ended up going for the DVDs before the manga. XD;; I don't have everything yet though; I still want to get Hikari no Pyramid and Capsule Monsters in Japanese, the YUU*GI*OU Special, the first series, and possibly Genex in Japanese... all I have right now is all of Duel Monsters in Japanese and then the crappy Toei movie...

Uh... well... See, there is one big reason why I like Tou. Bakura so much... He's a thief... *cough* Like I am... *cough* There would be absolutely no guilt in my mind what-so-ever if I were to "lose" the DVD but actually be stealing it... although technically I'd be paying for it when I "can't find it". *demonic giggles*
I ran into a one-time ebay auction for YUUGIOU. I'm a bit of a neat freak so my collection is bothering me. Volumes One, Two, and Five are the really pretty ones with DVD written in gold on the front while the others are entitled "TV SERIES PART" insert number here- ... And it annoys me is that Volume 6 with the pretty gold DVD lettering contains episodes 139~171 while you have to purchase volumes 6 and 7 of the TV SERIES PART to get the equivelent. And they were the exspensive ones. *scoffs* I don't even under stand it at all.
...Is the YUUGIOU special that new years thing where they all have kimonos and Seto's kimono looks suspiciously like his anti-gravity trenchcoat of doom from Battle City?
