2x10 (Overnights: #5, 3.2/ 5; Viewers: #5, 3.42 million; A18-49: #5, 1.4/ 4) compared to last time Lost was in reruns -2x05 (Overnights: #5, 3.0/ 4; Viewers: #5, 3.55 million; A18-49: #5, 1.6/ 4) I think this is pretty good. These numbers are pretty close and ratings tend to get lower during the holidays so I think this is what UPN wanted. And awards time! http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/051211/nysu032.html?.v=7 Quote: LOS ANGELES, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Film Institute (AFI) today announced the official selections of AFI AWARDS 2005, AFI's almanac which records the year's most outstanding achievements in film and television, as well as significant moments in the world of the moving image. AFI TV PROGRAMS OF THE YEAR -- OFFICIAL SELECTIONS 24 BATTLESTAR GALACTICA DEADWOOD GREY'S ANATOMY HOUSE LOST RESCUE ME SLEEPER CELL SOMETIMES IN APRIL VERONICA MARS marshjazz stargirl Love the new name for the news thread! Thanks! I like the outlook. It looks like we will be getting a season 3. Oh I forgot to mention the title. It totally rocks. But I wouldn't feel so secure about season 3 yet. There's the good thing about doing way better than last year and that this better ratings thing is staying pretty conistant but we still have to remember that the only things that got VM renewed were critical accliam and fan adoration. It was the lowest rated show to be renewed and many shows with higher ratings got canceled. Plus it's only retaining around 50-60% of America's Next Top Model viewers, which isn't a very high number. The budget for this show is so low that they can't even afford to have all their regulars. And Kevin Hill was in this timeslot last year and it did better. However it wasn't up against Lost so hopefully UPN is taking that into consideration and it sounds like according to RT they are but I don't think we should get our hopes up yet. Basically when the campaigns start up again still get involved because it isn't a sure thing. And this new South Beach show still has yet to premire and if it turns out to be a hit then it could be bad for VM.

Well the outlook looks good. I'm not exactically getting my hopes up. Kevin Hill did better than VM? That is a shocker, that show sucked. UPN also needs to take into acount that "Everybody Hates Chris", "America's Next Top Model" and "Veronica Mars" are their highest ratings. And that out of those three Veronica Mars has been their only show to be nominated for so many awards, which means more coverage for them.

Eonline's Kristen has Veronica Mars in the Save One Show campaign again. Go VoteYeah I don't get why Kevin Hill got better ratings but it did. At least at this time. They started to go downhill but this time last year it was doing better than VM is now. Actually I don't think VM is one of the highest rated. Last I heard they're Monday block of stupid comedies still does better than VM but I would have to check. The biggest thing that helped VM out is that UPN is wanting to become more respectable and VM got tons of critical acclaim. Although now Everybody Hates Chris is doing that with higher ratings and now it got a Golden Globe nom which is why the VM rerun got preempted for Everybody Hates Chris. Not sure if we need to worry or not though

Yeah, the respect thing too.
I say we have a decient chance of a third season, they will probably move it away from lost (it and ANTM) which would really help ratings.

Time for more ballot stuffing. http://www.ew.com/ew/article/poll/0,6115,1141815_3_0_,00.html
VM is losing to Smallville and Grey's Anatomy. I love Grey's but not as much as VM and it's not in any danger at all and gets plenty of media coverage
I actually hope Lost is what is moved because timeslot moving around usually causes a loss of viewers and there really isn't any better timeslot. Last year's slot was actually worse because it was up against House (another big hit with a similar audiance) Scrubs and The Office (american version) that shared similar audiances, and The Amazing Race which is fairly popular. At least with Lost it's only one show. And there's no way they'll replace they're successful Monday block or thursday's Everybody Hates Chris. And 8 is considered the family slot which means VM would have to be less dark. Thursday at 9 puts it up against CSI and Everwood, 10 is not an option for UPN, friday is considered the death slot, and I'm pretty sure weekends aren't an option for UPN either.

It would be nice to clear up the main forum page. I think that buying a sub forum for all of these episode topics would help us clean up the front page. For the we need 2,500 gold in the guild till. Unfortunately we only have 1,600(aprox.) gold in it. We only need about 900 more gold. I would donate the rest but I am kinda broke right now. Any amount you donate can and will help.

And we still have like 500 in the guild account.

Kalpini Does the guild have a advertising thread? sweatdrop to be honest if you look for Veronica Mars in the Registry we don't show up, i only found the guild through someone's siggy. so we need to get the word out that we're here. 3nodding theres got to be more VM fans out there. biggrin Good question I have been using the original thread I started in the Entertainment forum to invite and recruit people. Here is a link if you like Veronica Mars Thread. I just noticed we didn't come up on the Registry search! So, thank you for bringing that up. To fix that I just added to our old name...Neptune High the Official Veronica Mars guild. So, now if anyone is looking for a Veronica Mars guild we will show up. Thank you Kalpini for bringing it up! If anyone as any better ideas on a name let me know because as far as I know we are the only Veronica Mars guild here.
