((Very long post, but very cool))
The boy ran from the open area trying to get away from thescene of the fight.
"That thing... it felt... so evil. It wasn't even an animal. It was some sort of evil monster thing. Could it have been one of those 'dimon' things I read about?"
The red-haired swordsman swang through the trees, not sure where he was going or what he was going.
"I'm so confused. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. I'm scared."
The boy eventually came to a river.
"I need to stop. I need to clear my head."
He landed on a rock in the middle of the running river. The was plenty of room for him to stretch out on it.
"Oh, what should I do? I know there's evil out there, but I don't know anything about it. All I know is my forest..... that's right... this is MY forest. I can't just hide can I? I have to protect this forest. Not just for me but for all the inhabitants!"
The boy hopped to his feet and stood on the rock.
"This is MY forest and MY duty to protect it!"
Suddenly a ball of fire came wizzing by, and the boy barely weaved out of the way.
A demon entered the clearing by the river and smiled.
"A loud stranded target. This is going to be fun."
Oric looked down to see he WAS stranded on a rock in the middle of a river. The demon shot another fireball. Oric instintively reached for his sword and slashed the fireball, causing it to disapate. The demon was awe struck that a sword slash stopped his attack. Angered at the turn of events the demon began to throw a barage of fireballs at the stranded boy. The yound swordsman saw the dozens of fireballs quickly approach.
"EEEEE-AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Oric began to spin his sword as fast has he could. The sword cut the fireballs as they came close by.
"You can only defend yourself for so long. Sooner or later you'll tire out and you can't attack me from where you are."
Oric knew the monster was right. He had to think fast. Suddenly an idea struck him. As soon as the onsault of fireballs stopped, Oric undid his headband and tied one end to the ring-guard of his sword and the other end to his wrist and grabbed it. The demon charged up to release one big fireball. Oric began to spin on the rock, his white headband cloth stretching out. It wasn't long enough. The boy used his free hand to pull off his banadana around his neck and quickly tied it to his wrist and the end of the headband and used it to lengthen it's reach.
"What is this human doing?"The force of the sword could be easily felt as he spun faster and faster, the cloths pulling taunter from the spinning force. Finally the tip of the sword grazed the demon's stomach. The demon stopped charging his attack at the feel of pain. Suddenly the boy jumped off the rock towards the demon, spinning in midair. the Sword sliced the demon into bits as the boy came closer to the land. The boy landed in the chunks of demon which disappeared. The sword continued to spin around him. He raised his arm as high as he could, letting the cloth wrap around his arm. He prayed his own sword did not dice him up as it spun closer and closer as the cloth wrapped around the arm. Oric continued to spin the sword around the wrist and finally at the last second grabbed the handle with all might and stopped. Oric opened his eyes and looked at his sword in his hand.
"It worked."
Oric fell to his knees shaking and began to take the cloths off his arm and back in their respected positions. He sheathed his sword.
"I'm alive. Not a single stratch."
He began to turn when a small lock of his hair fell off his front of him. Oric nearly passed realizing just how close he came to slicing his head open. He shrugged off the feeling and jumped into a tree.

The boy heard the yelling through the forest.
"A human voice? No it sounds evil. It must be another dimon."
Oric ran through the forest quickly following the evil aura. He jumped out of the trees and landed on the ground facing the ill-tempered minion.
"Who are you? What are you? Were you yelling at me? Are with those dimon things?"
The questions poured into Oric's head but he could only ask a fraction of them as they rushed in his head.
"Who is he? What's he want? Where's he from? What is he? Why is he treatening the forest? Does he want me? If he does, why? Is he with the dimons? When did he get here? How did he get here? What do I have that he wants?"
The questions raced around in his head as he stared down his evil man. Oric's aura shrunk to a small size. Barely bigger than the average man's aura. The hair on his neck stood on end, but he didn't know why.

As Leon and Shadow ran through the forest, both of them felt a strange aura, one of an evil nature. Leon looked at Shadow, who glanced at him and nodded while summoning her halberd. Spotting a man with a weird bird-like mask, the two approached him wearily, watching him carefully. The dragoon unshealthed his broadsword and held it in a defensive position with the blade ready to block any attack. "Who are you?! Why have you come to this city?!" demanded Leon in a harsh tone, ignoring the boy completely. He was getting increasily worried about the carnage that would await him down there but from experience, it would do good to get rid of the commander to disorganize the minions enough to minimize causalities. The thought of innocent lives slaughtered sent a small shiver up his back.

Inka rode down the rode, the moon flickered in and out of view up ahead of her through the branches. Something was not right. Well besides the fact she took advice from a dog. The purr of the engine masked most of the small sounds from the white-haired woman's ears. It did not mask however, bad feelings. She muttered under her breathe speeding up some. She wanted to get out of the forest but at the same time something was telling her to pull over and stop. "One phone call and it seems life wont go back to being normal again," she thought following the twisting road without slowing down. She could travel these roads blindfolded at full speed if she wanted to, only she felt like saving the chance of crashing for another time.

Both blasts hit the two dragoons, but was more or less easily deflected to the side at the last moment, causing dust and smoke to rise. Leon and Shadow both shot out of the dust cloud and went for their oppontents; Leon to Kain and Shadow to Elliana.

The dragoon swung his blade in an overhead arc, just as he stopped dashing, shouting,"Lunar Blade!" The energy wave was headed towards Kain's side, hopefully hit him or at least scratch or something. Leon knew he wasn't as powerful like he was six-hundred years ago but at least he can still fight.

Swinging her halberd dangerously, Shadow went in for the offense, up close and personal. Trying very form she knew, the dragoneer growled angerily as they were easily dodged.

Kain smiled when he saw the blade beam heading for him. He twirled to his left side, dodging the beam, then as he twirled back around to face Lion, two wave swords appeared in Kain's hands. Both held upside down as he charged forward at Lion, then jumped into the air, flipping, and came down on Lion, both Wave swords pointing downward.

Elliana showed no emotion as she easily side-stepped Shadow's forward thrust and summoned her weapon. A hoola-hoop blade. She went for a vertical slash going upward, aiming for the neck of Shadow's Halberd.

Inka slowed to turn around a sharp corner only to see something within the hollow of a tree less then three feet from the road's edge. Inka had left the main road to take a sort of "shortcut" through a thick part of the woods, something she'd normally never do at night but the dirt road, or rather path, was not too bad and she doubted anyhting would happen tonight. Inka was wrong according to a figure she had spotted out of the corner of her eyesight. She pulled over and stopped turning in her seat to look back hoping it was an illusion, a trick on the eyes. She pulled off her riding goggles and blinked, "Oi, why are you out here alone at night kid?" She catiously got off her motorcycle and walked over to where the boy was curled up. Any farther in and she would have missed him.

"Are you okay?" Inka asked once she got closer, at least the moon provided light to see by even if it was springling down through the treetops. 'He's breathing so heavily, maybe he's been lost out here for awhile,' she thought kneeling down beside Oric.

For some reason, Inka felt like comforting the boy, even though he was babbling about "dimons". "It's okay now. I'll keep the 'dimons' from hurting you. All I want is for you to be okay and safe," she reached out and put a hand on his shoulder to gently pull him closer to her for a hug. Funny, she was not this nice to people usually but it was a scared frightened kid before this time.

"Everything will be all right. Nightmares are just bad dreams. And in dream, you can do anything; even be a hero," she said soothingly to the boy. She hoped he would listen to her.
