//Behebuncle has a storyline so if you'll hurry up and continue you might find it out soon. xp
[prompt]
Unfortunately Sarabi had been foolish and seemed have forgotten about the people within the ariship. The moment she was sighted above the forest the large eye within the centre of the ship flashed open and the pillar of light shot down into the forest that was promptly set alight, forcing a large circular wall of fire to protect the mages from the evident intruders.
"I should have known a set of meddling brats would come!" His one of the first as a rising chanted could be heard and one of the first mages tore back into the air and was swallowed up by the eye of the airship.
"She will be furious!" Agreed a second as he followed suit and sure enough, within seconds all four of the mages were gone and with that the flames began to spread through the forest itself in a furious act of revenge - how dare they disturb such matters of import...
----
"Oh dear." The Onion Knight stated bluntly, staring up towards the eye in the sky with pursed lips, "Not good..." He added, feeling the need to emphasize the obvious as he swung round and like many of the other creatures - began to flee from the flames beginning to engulf the northern regions of the forest.

(( o-o *Fiddles with magical clock to speed things up* ))
Masa stopped dead in her tracks as the Airship opened up. She could see Sarabi flying overhead, and then within the blink of an eye, she saw the massive beam of light shoot down into the forest. "NO!" Soon she was hit by a massive rush of emotions. Fear, panic, confusion. "YOU IDIOT!" Masa screamed up at Sarabi as she watched helplessly as the fire spread at great speed and the four mages were swallowed up by the ship. She ran forward and picked up Onion Knight and Behebuncle as they ran in the opposite direction, then turned and ran back a little, holding the two carefully and keeping them close to her chest. She didn't know what to do, how to stop the blaze that had been started. "Yin, Yang, do what you can!" Just as before, the two pandas appeared. Yin still had a big smile on his face, but his eyes showed great concerned. Yang showed no emotion at all, and simply bolted off towards the flames. "Be careful!" She shouted over her shoulder as she began running once again away from the fire as Yin followed Yang towards the flames.
When Yin finally caught up to Yang, Yang was hacking away with his massive silvery claws at trees that hadn't even been burnt yet, but they lay in the path of the fire. If they could cut down enough trees, it could stop the spread of the fire, or at least slow it down. There was always the chance that the wind could aid the flames, but still, they were doing what they could. Yin got the idea, wrapping his arms firmly around the trunk of a tree, and then up-rooting it.

Firebreak, the man thought, seeing the efforts of the 'panda' type creatures. Good idea, but it wasn't going to work. There weren't enough of them, they couldnt' work fast enough to contain the entire blaze.
What are the odds, what is the chance? The man gazed around, looking at the green boughs, the underbrush, and the tree trunks. Everything seemed fairly wet to him. it wouldn't burn too easily, he hoped. His hand reached down, plucking a few blades of grass. He lifted them high, and let them drop, seeing how the wind was playing.
That was the direction the fire would go. And thus, the direction he wasn't going to go.
"Unless you have a fire brigade hidden in that little temple of yours, I suggest you come along with me. As I remember, your dead flesh doesn't exactly like dealing with fire, now does it?" he asked the zombie, as he started to walk off, more or less at a calm pace towards the direction the wind was coming from, angled away from the fire. There was a thin, cold smile on his face, though he didn't bother to look back to see if anyone was coming. Animals were running, they knew where to go for the most part, and if his 'companions' couldn't follow that example. Well, no skin off his nose.

Epine de Rose [prompt]
Unfortunately Sarabi had been foolish and seemed have forgotten about the people within the ariship. The moment she was sighted above the forest the large eye within the centre of the ship flashed open and the pillar of light shot down into the forest that was promptly set alight, forcing a large circular wall of fire to protect the mages from the evident intruders. -/ Bwaha! Too bad Sarabi is a water mage. XD Hm..this could be a good time to 'reveal' her 'true' self.. *thinks* I was hoping to do it later on in the plot, but now could work too...nah. I'll save it for later. =P -/
Sarabi sat silently in the trees hidden behind a particularly leafy branch. The sharp scent of smoke drifted by her nose. She quickly looked around the trunk of the tree towards where the mages were resting. She was greeting by a wall of flames. The blue gel around her hands was quickly thrown towards the fire creating a gaping hole in the fire. She looked through it before twisting and pulling the magic that was floating in the fire and jumprd through it. She took flight just in time to see the last of the trouble makers float up and into their air ship. "Damn it!" She thought of going after them, but now that she knew they were mages, and there was a group of them she thought the wiser. There was a bigger problem at hand. The forest below her was in a blaze, and needed to be taken care of. Sarabi hovered over the bulk of the flames. Her eyes seemed to glow a pale shade of blue and her head fell back. The same blue gelatinous magic over her hands also started dripping down her legs and covering the extra legs she posessed. After appearing to be drenched in the deep blue magic she fluttered her wings and began spinning. She fluttered faster and faster until she was nothing but a blur. The magic flew from her body, first falling like a soft rain, but the faster she spun the farther and heavier ir fell on the flames. The flames quickly died down to nothing but a warm smoulder. It still needed to be fully extinguished but Sarabi could do no more, she slowed down and quickly fell to the ground, her body and mind exhausted. She lay there on a soft bed of wet leaves from the the center of the unburnt area. Hopefully someone would find her there.

((Eee! Thanks, Highwind, for the jump-start. whee heart ))
Khel gaped openly. "Stranger, you turn away just as the fires have died away. I suspect a water mage is, literally, floating around this area."
Passing a hand over her face and her eyes over the strange gathering before her (What on earth was that midget in armor?! No, what on earth was his steed?!), the zombie let out a sigh. "Never had this sort of ruckus before..." she muttered. Kheleksul wanted, desperately, to return to the tranquil forest she remembered.
Brushing past the bushes, she headed towards the approximate location of the water mage....

The man snorted, as he turned and followed after the zombie. They still had a 'deal' of sorts to conclude after all. There was a deep frown on his face, as he wandered 10 feet to the left of the zombie mistress, and just a few steps behind.
Mages. Bleh. Never trust them. So what if this one put out the fire. Probably just because they had something they wanted here, not for any 'good' purpose. The man was grumbling incoherently under his breath as he stalked through the forest, keeping his eyes open, especially on the 'dead' burnt material.
The frown deepened, remembering how a 'dead' fire had once came back to burn him. The coals inside were still hot, he was told. Didn't matter to him. He would stop a good distance before they entered the first of the charred and drenched forest.
((Bleh, I'm off lately... also, earlier in the guild, I didn't mean to insult anyone's character or play style. I was just voicing my opinion about the sorta play I like myself. Nothing more. sweatdrop ))

//Sarabi do not control the magic hun, I control it as it's not normal.
[prompt]
The water mage thought that she had successfully doused the flames but in fury the great eye opened once more and shot innumerable beams down upon the earth. Regardless of the damp or dryness, each canopy erupted into thick flames and became more violent than they had been previously. From above, the sound of chanting could be heard from the airship as the eye closed over once more and the forest began to burn.
"What have you done?!" The Onion Knight howled in terror, "What have you done?!" He repeated as he wiggled desperately in an attempt to escape from Masa's grasp - Behebuncle promptly did the same due to the approaching flames that were taking on a sickly green hue. Even the forest creatures were beginning to shriek in terror as the flames began to approach from all sides - north, east and west...only the south remained free but no doubt the flames from the North would move directly to the temple.
"Run." Ordered a more calm voice as the peculiar Guardian of the Temple materialised beside the group, "Run now."

((I appologize ahead of time Mistress Khel for this bit of godmoding. I am doing it however, because you seem to be having trouble getting on lately. And this helps carry you along. If you don't want me to do this, well, feel free to ignore it. sweatdrop ))
About time someone started making some sense here. It took only a moment for the man to process what was going on, and what this strange, poofled out of nowhere creature was saying. However, the man himself was already moving, training and fear prodding him faster than his mind could reason.
"Sorry for the rough trip, but I don't think you'll get outta here fast enough..." the man told the zombie, his hand reached out, grasping around her waist. His legs braced themselves. His lance was returned to a harness on his back. There seemed a thin, simple joy coming to the man's smile. One deep breath was taken, and his feet pushed off the ground.
It wasn't 'logical', but it was happening. He jumped into the air, the zombie in his arm, carried along. He didnt' fall though, he kept going. His brought his hand up, and warded off some of the burning boughs as they crashed through. They kept going, like a rifle shot, up into the sky.
The man's grip was loose, relaxed, but holding on quite securly. His body twisted in the air, spinning spirals as his ascent slowed. Then it stopped. They were high. Very high. His body twisted again, head pointed towards the ground as they started to fall, the winds carrying them, his body slicing through the skies. They were going South, away from the blaze, towards a spot about 300 yards from where they had started.
The man was actually letting out a childish whoop of joy as he felt the wind slip past him, as he watched the boughs approach. Hs arm came up. They crashed through them again. He angled, pulling up. His body was curled into a ball, sheltering himself and the zombie as much as he could manage. It still looked like it was going to be a rough landing.
They hit hard, leaving a furrow int he forest soil as they impacted, and slid to a stop, bouncing four times along the way.
Then it was over, just a moment. The man uncurled and stood. He seemed nonetheworse for wear. A little dazed, but not too banged up. He looked back down at the zombie, and then at the flames behind them, "Better keep moving..."
((And somehow, i have the feeling I'll be interupted anyways to have my poor dragoon shot outta the sky... but I had to try.))

Unaware that the fire was dying down a bit, Yang continued to hack at the trees. Yin stopped and looked up as he noticed the blue gel-like substance that was raining down. A big blob of it slapped the back of Yang's head, causing him to snap back and snarl directly at what caused it, just in time to see a lifeless-looking blue body fall to the ground.
Masa, breathing heavily, began to slow down a bit as it seemed the flames were dying down. 'Everything will be alright...everything will be OK...' She repeated over and over again in her head as she looked out at the forest. Just then, the Airship opened up once more, and Masa could only watch as dozens of beams shot down. Tears began to build up in her eyes. She felt so helpless as she stared out at the flames that now towered high above the forest itself. As Onion Knight and Behebuncle began to stir, she tightened her hold on them. "I'm sorry!" she cried "But I'm not letting you go, there's nothing you two can do!" The flames turned a sickly green, and she was about to start running again, when she saw the Guardian from the Temple. She was going to run anyway, but being told to do so, and leaving this Guardian behind, she was worried. "Will you be OK?" she uttered. In her heart, she knew that this being was perfectly capable of looking after herself. And so, she ran, hoping she would see the Temple soon enough.
Yin and Yang could sense that Masa was moving further and further away, and though they were both still chopping down and up-rooting the trees, they realised it was pointless. So they both began running towards where Masa was. Yang bolted straight ahead on all-fours, leaping over the fallen trees like they weren't even there, his claws ripping into the ground to propell him further. Yin was taking his time, looking in bushes and holes that still remained, searching for animals that were too scared to move. He knew Masa would praise him for this. But the flames were travelling too fast, and eventually he had to start running again. In his massive arms he clutched two rabbits and a squirrel, and so he ran, rather awkwardly, on two legs.

Sarabi's unconciouss body felt the approaching danger of more flames and a shield of the blue magic blinked itself to life around her, hopefully protecting herself from the onslaught of more flames. Sarabi's unconsiouss mind was already working out ways to get out of this situation, but it could do nothing until her body revived itself. Surely the group wouldn't all run into the temple and leave her lifeless body for the fire. Because it sure didn't look like she was going anywhere herself.

Run...run now...and so she had. When she knew she was far enough away she stopped and turned around to take a look. Flames were everywhere, Masa's pandas had put forth a noble effort but sadly nothing seemed to be able to quench the fire; even Sarabi's magic didn't work. "Speaking of which, where is sarabi?" She'd seen the man with the zombie, Masa with her two pandas, another stranger, but sarabi was no where! "Where's Sarabi?!" Ada shouted. Did anyone know? Was she lost somewhere in the flames? Panic striken Ada charged back towards the flames, frantically ripping through bushes, overgrown trees, everything in the hopes of finding Sarabi...and then she saw it a shimmer of blue about 50 ft ahead of her. 'Sarabi' Ada muttered, 'Hold on'. Ada lept ahead, she'd have to be quick if she was going to beat the oncoming flames. Picking up the pace, doing her best to dodge trees, Ada finally reached Sarabi, managed to scoop her up onto her back and turn back towards the temple before Sarabi's resting place was engulfed in flames. With flames nipping at her heals, Ada did her best to stay ahead, but Sarabi was heavy, and Ada didn't have the upper strength that was needed. She'd have to morph... It took some interesting maneuvers on Ada's part since she didn't want to accidentally drop Sarabi, but eventually she managed to turn herself into a horse, and the two of them raced ahead, never stopping, and never looking back. The forest would revitalize itself, that she was sure of, but Ada new that the same couldn't be said for her and her group. A new world had opened up, and one could only guess what it held in store for them. [i guess i'm heading towards the Main Hall. ^^;;]
