The Republic of Chievious is a small, devout nation, remarkable for its strong anti-business politics. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 16 million are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked morass -- juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Healthcare, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 35%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing.

Young children are regularly seen wagering pocket money at blackjack tables, extreme political groups are outlawed, the fruit bat is a protected species, and organ donation is compulsory. Crime is relatively low, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Chievious's national animal is the fruit bat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the meep.

Chievious is ranked 7th in the region and 38,929th in the world for Most Eco-Friendly Governments.

The Oppressed Peoples of Insomneisa is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its strong anti-business politics. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 6 million are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings." (love this part whee )

The large, corrupt government devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 30%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Basket Weaving.

Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Insomneisa's national animal is the Kitty, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Insonia .
