History: Othelia never saw herself as strange, scary or wicked. She had a mother, a father and received visits just like every other foal in the area. The only thing that she could see as different was that when she began to ween off her mother's milk she was receiving meat to eat rather than the grasses and fruits the other foals got. When she was still a foal her low mountain home was hit by a fierce storm. She was separated from her family and ended up traveling in the opposite direction from where they had been heading. Without her mother there to provide food and not yet knowing how to hunt properly left her in an awkward position. After three days of nothing to eat she found herself in the outskirts of a cluster of teepees.
After a while a foal belonging to the two leggers wandered away from watchful eyes. Rabbits were too fast, birds could fly away and mice were well hidden away...the foal, relatively new to the world, however had no wings, no defense and no knowledge that she was near by. Feeling the pangs of hunger gnawing away at her she took her chance and attacked. It barely managed to squeak before she felled it. Not knowing any better she began to eat without moving her prey out of the line of sight and it wasn't long before she was discovered.
The humans brought out ropes, bows and spears...Othelia ran for her life. She sought a place to hide inside a cave that was to become her prison. The storm had loosened mud and stone above the caves entrance. It came down in a deafening cascade of earth separating her from her pursuers as well as everything else.
For four years she lived in the cave. A large hole in the ceiling provided her with sunlight and fresh air, just below water from snow and rain collected in a rock pool. While food was scarce she received enough to survive through the lonely days. Birds would occasionally fly in and lizards, shrews and mice would appear every so often to drink from the pool or sun on the rocks. There were multiple chambers similar to the one in which she stayed but none of them ever led out. For years all she had to do was watch the outside world from below, think and sleep. Then one day, as she watched, an unusual visitor landed by her "sky light" and the earth shook.
She had been freed by the pink haired wind.
From the ground she followed the mare as best as she could to her home in another cave. It was there that she properly met the members of the UnderGround and somehow found herself in their employ.
Personality: Despite appearances and assumptions Othelia is not an evil soquili. She does not see herself as such and only acts as in her nature. She is not psychotic nor is she particularly cruel. She kills to survive or defend and no more. She does have a bit of a temper especially to soquili that treat her like she's going to kill them just because they are there. Unfortunately, when she loses her temper it does not help her case as others tend to end up hurt. She refuses to go anywhere that she cannot see the sky from.
