((Ah, shoulda kept it to myself.

I'm writing a story, not sure if I'll publish it or not, just for fun, actually. My friend was, and I decided that helping him wasn't enough, so I began one on my own.))

(( I'm writing a story too.... X33 ))

Pyre waved a hand. "He's at the stage where he's turning into our owner and refusing to come out of his own little world." She replied.

"******** lightpost.." mumbled the mostly out-of-it Raven, whom was rubbing his forehead, before resuming another streamline of curses under his breath.

Ugh.. headache. "Does hitting a lightpost always hurt that ******** much?"

"You ran into it at a pretty fast speed. Of course it would."
Ryo felt that this wasn't Raven. It just didn't seem like him. His thoughts turned back to the time when Hikaro had gotten hurt by the RubbaRogo net, and Raven had been dragged along. He'd been pretty scared...but Ryo shook it off. Riddle often told him not to dwell on the past, what's done is done. But he couldn't help but feel that this Raven wasn't the same Raven he knew.

Natu erased what he wrote. "Oh...well, I guess that helps a little. But still, he doesn't seem like him," Natu had written when he held it up again. Takato had been paying attention to what they were saying (writing, in Natu's case.).

Hikaro was very gently decending in altitude, though he still had the moody teenager protectively held in his arms. Raven seemed to konk himself pretty hard on his forehead, which could very easily impair his ability to fly, as well as motor control. Although the sunny hououza frowned at Raven's choice of language, he wasn't terribly suprised. Warm honey colored eyes scanned Raven's for signs of a concussion, though he didn't seem to express any, just a bruise, no blood even.

The blonde looked up to Ryo, about to say something, but the look on Ryo's face caught his breath. He could almost tell what the green haired one was thinking, recalling Raven from before, how scared he was...But when he was secure, Raven did have quite an attitude, it was just manifesting strongly now. Plus, running headfirst into a solid object rarely brought out the nicer side of people.

"Raven, are you feeling okay? I mean, are you dizzy at all?" He asked, merely concerned for the other's health.

Raven kept his hand on his forehead. "For the most part, I don't think I have any brain damage...." he stated, his tone going back to a kinder one, then the 'curse-a-holic' he had been a few moments before.

"Besides that, I dunno.." he admitted sheepishly, shrugging.

Pyre shrugged. "It's natural. Over time, people can change.. though I dunno what hit Raven. Perhaps he's still upset that he needs to take care of me, and can't run off for some alone time every now and then."

The firey teenager rubbed the back of her head and laughed nervously.

Natu erased what he had. Takato finally got the courage to speak up.
"Indeed. Ryo is sometimes angry when he has to look after Natu and I, but usually he doesn't mind."

"You seem to have a simple bruise, that's about it, I don't see any blood."
Ryo dug through his bag and pulled out some herbs and berries, the usual ones for minor wounds.
"The berries are painkillers, and the herbs are healers."
He handed Raven the berries.

By this time, they had all reached the ground, and Hikaro sighed gently, allowing Raven to slide free from his arms, making sure he landed on his feet, and not his a**, as was apt to happen.

Haku watched them quietly from afar, large round glasses illuminating his curious gaze. He was not familiar with Raven, but was intrigued by the dynamics between them, the familiarity, the knowlege between them. Raven's shift in behaviour from irritation from his younger sibling, to quiet patience with his peers was an interesting change. That, and...Hikaro's own change, from his usually warm indifference and jovial careless nature subdued into a much more concerned, still being. It might just be temporary, but Haku could see each one of them had known the other for a long time. The dual colored Hououza blinked as he looked around- he had no such friendships. He'd not met many others like him, had not forged lasting friendships through his own solitude. It suited him perfectly fine, but if he ever got in trouble, might anyone other than his hired bodyguard or his family help?

Ryo silently landed and looked around. It was fairly quiet around here. Almost too quiet. Just right for a RubbaRogo attack. Thank God that he couldn't hear any of them.

Raven kept his hand on his head and frowned slightly. "I apologize for my crude behavior earlier.. it.. happens.." he admitted embarassedly, his attention flicking over to Ryo, whom seemed slightly concerned about something. Raven seemed to feel it too..

it was far too quiet. That never bothered Raven, as for the most part he just had to close his eyes and nobody would be able to see him without straining their eyes.. but...

The hououza closed his eyes and seemed to be listenening for something out of the ordinary... something was getting ACK!

Glee.

Pyre too great pride in being able to sneak up on her elder brother without having to dim her flames in the least. "Hee~ I win~" she purred, spinning once, before realizing that Raven had been trying to focus on something..

"..Oops.. ;_;"

Ryo drew his blade. A sense in his mind kept telling him that something was coming. And since Takato and Natu were with Pyre...
"Ryo! What's going on?"
Ryo was right. Natu and Takato had followed.
"Hikaro! Raven! Get ready!"
Ryo looked back and forth. From out of an alleyway, a large net popped out. Soon a swarm of nets started flying at all the Hououza.

MOOD SWING!

"Dammit! Not this again!" Raven hiss through his teeth, but had to be semi-relieved that the younger Hououza weren't stranded out on their own to be more easily captured. Unlike Ryo, the only real 'weapon' Raven had on him was the fact he wasn't easily seen..

What to do..

Pyre, being the probably most easily seen of the group, growled, her moodswing obviously worst then her brothers, but probably influenced by him just as much. She watched the series of nets start to burst out of NOWHERE, and narrowed her eyes, before allowing her flaming wings to spread out to their fullest, and the flames to grow..

even if it would take a while, she could probably burn any substance the stupid nets were made out of..

she hoped.

The RubbaRogos were idiots. Their nets were made of ropes, making them easily cut. Natu drew a small pole and pressed a button on it. It extended into a long staff, a few inches taller than him. Takato brought out a small boomerang, and pulled the vial of water around his waist to his hip.
"Natu, protect Pyre while she heats up!"
Natu nodded and jumped in front of Pyre, hitting a few nets outta her way in the process.

Hikaro was standing perfectly still when the attack started, nets dropping onto his wings, landing limply beside him. The same type of nets as before, but this time...this time he'd not get caught again. Subtly, he began to clench his fists, blood pressure rising exponentially. He'd not known this level of anger in a long, long time. The golden hououza clenched his teeth, feathers lifting with agitation. Hikaro was livid with anger.

The area around him flashed with a sudden burst of light, much like a crack of lightning made it as bright as daylight, shining light into the alleyway, illuminating the mindless thugs with their net guns. Turning, furrowed eyebrows shielded normally gentle golden eyes that had darkened to a malicious red with pure hatred. Such loathing was a foreign emotion to the normally forgiving hououza, but these creatures these...RubbaRogos were more than deserving of the fate he had in store for them.

It was unclear what exactly was running through Hikaro's mind, but it was obvious he was suffering from one of his fits, where his mind posessed him into thinking he was someone else, but this time it was someone decidedly evil. Even the light exuding from his body became tinted, the air around him crackled with malevolent energy. Ignoring the mess of ropes about him, Hikaro raced into the alleyway, charging right at the RubbaRogos, fists flying.

All that emerged from his mouth were animalistic snarls as Hikaro began beating the living mess out of two thugs. Feathers the color of wheat were flying out as the Rogos attempted to fight back, tearing at what they thought was his weakness- but Hikaro was tired, tired of people treating him like a harmless lovebird, and for people messing with them with no good reason. Feet and fists connected with skulls and ribs, the sounds of bones splitting filling the night air as Hikaro proved exactly how unmerciful his justice was.

Yet, such an action was foolish- as soon as Hikaro pummled two of them into unconciousness, three others tackled him, dogpiling the angered angel to the grimy cement floor. Someone's hand grabbed a fistfull of the radiantly blonde hair and pulled his head back into an awkward position as another wrestled his hands behind him. Hikaro groaned in pain as someone's knees ground into his spine, pinning him down. He did this for his friends, he did this for dignity, and he'd be damned if he went down so easy.
