(Then as a note, we should also consider the Athan situation earlier an RLH situation. As a decision was never made on that.)

((RLH rule instated, so it is written so it is said. Stryphe cannot post for three hours from this point.

EDIT: Athan has also RLH'd, though from his last post onward. Shades get the points.))

((Sun made a decision on that, just never posted it formally. And yes, that was a RLH situation.))

((Alright. So by that rule, he teleports to home base right?

Moving along.))

As the dragon came down, stomping one of the UGH soldiers into mush, while the man impaled another through the back, two of the soldiers had to dive and duck out of the way of the swinging tail as debris fromt he ruins rained down onto them, covering them in a cloud of dust and rubble. Then before they had a chance to retaliate, the man disappeared.

They all took to one side of the main path and began to move through the mazelike ruins while keeping withing eyesight of one another. There was the grenadier and two riflemen left.

Ji Long would still be in the building he had hid inside when the arrows were fired. He reloaded his pistol.

"Dammit, put me down!" Flare would yell, before she had time to think. She didn't trust him, she'd rather trust her own injured legs.

But she knew better than to struggle, instead using the time to build up a little more energy.

They were very near the fortress now, and would probably be inside it within another post. If no one stopped them.

((Wait, so you guys are just running directly back towards the opening of the fortress without seeking cover with the surrounding ruins if going by that lousy map I made?))

The door was wide open?

What foolish sort of fortress WAS THIS!?

The fifteen men who had charged on the fortress two pages ago and were awaiting an NPC responce from the troops inside turned as the new group of Shade forces retreated towards their position.

"FOR THE HORDE~!" One shouted loudly, drawing a machette from his belt as 7 of the men met the retreat with a charge.

The shades guarding the entrance would let anyone of their faction, or helping their faction by. The armoured shade continued to hold his axe at ready, while five shades behind him began to form weapons. Two with spears, three with longswords and kite sheilds. EDIT: The spears shot down to impale whatever miners tried to squeeze through the "gate" of the walls.

The archers loaded another dark matter arrow volley, but waited for their shots. Trained on the UGH group and not the miners.

What were trained on the miners were the two shadow bishops that climed on the walls. They charged two balls of energy the size of basketballs and sent the shadowy orbs towards the miners charging them. Do the the chaotic nature of the spells they would be inacurate, but still, they exploded into dark energy on contact. They didn't have to be accurate.

The other two mages contuned preparing spells.

Of the 7 who remained focussed on the fortress, they saw the shades climbing to the walls, and reacted accordingly; firing as accurately as they could at the shade archers, and then, the bishops... They had rifles and pistols, the shotguns would be inaccurate at this range, but so would the arrows fired by the shades.

Things charing glowing balls of death tended to be priority targets...

(No, no, we're swirving through the ruins. Or we'd be safe by now. Anyways.)

"As you wish. And here, I'd thought I was being helpful."

Pausing for a second, sheltered behind the cover of part of the ruins, Hakan set flare down again and glanced over at the people. With guns. Geez, he was really getting to hate guns. They were so loud, and annoying, and...well...he just didn't like them.

But he'd have to deal with them.

"Get going. I'll distract them long enough for you to get into the fortress, hopefully."

It wouldn't take him long to draw back an arrow, and quickly take aim at the nearest target, angling his shot up over the wall so the arrow would fall down upon the man. Which man, he didn't know, but he was at least going to distract them until the lady was safe.

((Alright, just making sure.))

The remaining UGH troops would peek out between moving through cover as to make sure they were not being shot at as they advanced. Eventually, when they reached a position close to the walls with decent cover, they'd stop and await orders by radio contact. Unless of course, they got into a violent confrontation. They checked their ammo.

Ji Long didnt have time to hide forever. He activated the chameleon suit as he exited through the door and ran across the 'street' into the other side of the ruins under the cover of partial invisibility due to his gear.

"Worry about yourself," she muttered as she left him. Once she reached the fortress, she vowed to toss down a rain of fire on any impeding the man's progress.

Flare weaved through the ruins, moving as quickly as she could. Her fires charged a little bit more as she ran.

Eventually, she was forced to break cover and sprint for the fortress entrance. If she was uninterrupted, she would make it behind the guarding shades.

But if she was interrupted...
