My reasoning behind this:
Beside the fact that Ami looks like she might know him, Mamoru says later in the show (paraphrasing) "It might be an effect of coming here (meaning the Dark Kingdom), sometimes I can sense things."
Since Ami spent a chuck of time there as well, even though she doesn't really remember it, she might get the feeling that she knows him at least?
My theory anyway, play however you wish. 3nodding

Yeah, I've got Danburite carrying that feeling for the Senshi so far and most likely Mamoru. But he appears to not recognize Nephrite. Must be because of the time they spent in the Dark Kingdom... and sicne he's been all the way who knows where in exile... ninja
