FreeArsenal Lady_Amalthea I could date a pro-choicer, explain to them why abortion of convenience is ethically inhumane and if they still stood by their view that would be the only date they would have with me Have you ever been in such a situation before? Just curious. Nope, and thank God, because I'm shy and would probably cry if I was put in that position

Oh... I kinda thought you were a little more hard-skinned. sweatdrop
In either case, though it's ideal to find someone who's pro-life, it's not something I'm going to worry about.

Hopefully you will never have to go through something like this, as it sounds like it would be very stressful for you.

My ex was a pro-choicer. He went as far to have his girlfriend forced into an abortion because he didn't want to father the kid because he felt as though it was an "accident" and needed to be removed.
I swore, every day that story made my stomach turn.
One of the many reasons why I let go of him.

Glad you got rid of him. razz But pertaining to topic. Carla was unfortunately in support to an extent. : One of the 0973598734987 reasons her and I broke up.

My boyfriend is pro-choice politically but pro-life in his personal life. It directly affects me in that if it comes up I know our baby will live. That's a very strong comfort. We've talked about it a lot (it was one of the reasons we thought we were good for one another in terms of opinions) and while I wish he would support its ban I'm happy enough knowing that he wouldn't support killing our child despite money issues.

I've found that it's really important to date someone with similar views if you feel passionate about certian things and abortion is usually a very important issue. I've dated people with opposing views to my own and it just has never worked out well for me. I prefer someone who has a similar religious and political background to my own, I must admit.

Yeah, I guess I could. I wouldn't steady date him, or consider any serious relationship, but I wouldn't hold it against him, I mean everyone else is entitled to an opinion, too. But yeah, it is very important to date people with similar opinions.

A lot of things "build character". Doesn't mean it's inherently good. I'm gay, so I really wouldn't care if I was dating someone pro-life/choice. Now, if it was someone anti- gay marraige...

Kenshin, if memory serves right, you're a mule of a pro-choicer. Choicers are no longer alloud to post in the main guild. Please take it to the new sub-forum if you have anythign further to say. Sorry.

I would date a pro-choicer, then I would try to convert her.
