Aspen smiled very slightly as he wound the strip of cloth around the Dragons middle and tied it off so it would stay in place..
"I dont need you to trust me right away, dont worry.. I know I'm overly trusting.. but.. I take people by what I see for the most part.. and to me you seem nice, and as I said.. I like your companny.. He checked the make shift bandage over once, but it seemed to pass whatever criteria he had laid against it.
"I'm not expecting anything of you really.." he added thoughtfully..
"I'm just happy to have somone to talk to thats not part of my family.. here.. and.. for the record.. You're more than welcome.." he smiled again, just a small, friendly smile.
He could tall from the slight lilt to the dragons tone that that was a phrase he was not to comfortable using, so it wouldnt draw to much attention to it, he didnt like making people feel uncomfortable..
"Thanks for helping me out by the way... I appriciate it.. really.." The words came far easier to Aspen, he was more used to using them though, he suspected.

Mitsuji smiled on the inside from the squirrel's words. He would never show it, so instead he nodded to give the male something to see since he wouldn't smile. His white eyes fell down to the bandaging that stopped his wound from bleeding any further. He didn't know what they could do since he really did have anything in mind. He was drawing a complete blank since Zuka threw his mind out of whack. "I need to find Mayuki, so I can train more because I am getting a little rusty at it." He spoke aloud to himself not expecting Aspen to say anything to him.

"Hmm anything you have in mind that we can do?" He asked as he shut his white eyes and rested his head on the tree trunk behind him. Since him and Aspen were supposedly friends, then he would answer any question he had. Even if it involved telling the squirrel about Zuka or his past. He wouldn't mind it now since he kind of trusted the male.

Aspen paused for a moment and sighed very softly..
"I'm sorry.. I'm not really sure what we could do to pass the time, I know thats not a very good answer.. but.. I think my brians going to insist its a little broken intil the image of that... canine is out of my head again..." He mumbled that quietly, the encounter could so easilly have been far worse, but Aspens imagination had already whirled him off on some fascinating flights of insane fantasy, and none of the tales were pretty..
"He seems rather.. unhinged..." he stated off handly as he settled himself more comfortably on the floor for the moment, wrapping his arms round himself..
The squirrel would have quite liked somone like Miyavi, or even the pale buterfly, Raine, to meander past just then.. he could really... really... use a hug... and in no way felt it appropriate to ask for one from the Dragon.. it would have to wait he told himself... he'd get one, but it would have to wait until he went home.

Mitsuji eyed Aspen carefully and examined how he was acting. He did hear everything he said, but he didn't like that he was hugging himself. In his eyes it meant there was something wrong. "That is alright. I know what we could do, but not sure your up to it." He said still eyeing the squirrel carefully. He didn't want to do anything to hurt him since Zuka gave quite a scare a little bit ago. "I can see that you don't look that well and it is most likely from Zuka. You can go home if you want." He then stood up and brushed himself a bit before letting his tail sway behind him a little bit.

Walking away from the squirrel, he began to head slowly in the direction of the grassy fields. He had an idea of what to do, but it was all up to Aspen. That is if he followed or not.

Aspen pushed himself up to his feet, he did feel a little shaky, it was true, but he could get past that, he was sure he could.. Nothing bad had actually happened to him, and doing somthing would work far better at taking his mind away from the bad thoughts that going home and laying around on his own would, that was for cirtain.
He jogged a little to catch up with the dragon who had moved a little way way from him..
"Where are we going?" He asked at once, it was clear he planned to follow Mitsuji rather than just sit around and mope
"I'll be fine, really, there isnt anything really wrong, just... a little shock I suppose.." he slippe dhis hands into the fairly deep pockets of the coat as he fell in step beisde the other.. it was fairly amazing how he could be so calm after the fight.. sure it was short.. but it was violent.. and it hardly seemed to have phazed the dragon at all...
Aspen struggled to imagine being able to act like that...

Mitsuji didn't look over to Aspen at all as he walked. He kept his white eyes gleaming forward as he could see the field in the distance. "An open area where you can do anything you want." He said simply as his tail curled tightly around his waist. He didn't expect the male to cope well with what happened since he himself dealt with it the best. He was so use to violence that he didn't know it any other way. "Shock is always what happens the first time you see something like that. I remember the first time that happened to me." He said as they exited out of the woods and stepped into the grassy field. "It's nice here. A lot of thinking space." He muttered lightly before walking further in trying to think of what he wanted to do, but had one idea in mind. Flying.

Aspen smiled, it was green, very very green.. and that somehow made a lot of the bad things that he'd been thinking simply melt away..
Green was a lively colour, bright, cheerful, there was no denying that, and here was a whole area just covered in it.. He couldnt help but smile as he looked it over, somhow it just seemed all the more bright.. lively, and appealing.
He leant down and let his fingers brush over the grass, and smiled again..
"You really do know some nice places you know.." he commented quietly,
"I think I much just be completely un-observant.. I've not seen this place before.. and I walk around quite a lot.. I made it all the way out to a spring earlier today.. the water tasted so sweet from it, just before it dissappeared back underground... that was rather nice.. maybe I'll try and remember the way and take you out there at some point, its quite a walk though.. you'd have to be willing to put up with me for a good few hours.." he chuckled quietly, his tail cuirling slightly, he was getting over the shock fairly rapidly now.. he wasnt really one to hang on to dark thoughts for an overly long time if he could help it..

Mitsuji continued to walk away from Aspen after hearing him talk about another place they could go to. "Yes I suppose I know some nice places. Nothing really exciting though." He told him before glancing back with his white eyes. "We could...Do you want to go there now or later?" He asked not giving the squirrel much time to reply before flapping his wings lightly at first. His tail uncurled from his waist and he flapped his wings harder before lifting off the ground a bit. In a few seconds, he flew up high into the air trying to ignore the burning rays of the sun that shot into his eyes.

He flew above the grassy field eyeing the ground to make sure Aspen was still there. He had something in mind, but didn't know if he had the strength to do it. Then again, he never tried it before, but they would get to where Aspen said quicker.

Aspen laughed as he watche dthe dragon take off,
"We can go whenever!" He called up to him, apparently delighted by the eas with which the dragon was able to Fly.. Raine was never one for actually flying, he glided, and used his wings to make his hopped steps longer, but that was it, Aspen was fascinated by how the Anthro's were able to do what they could do, it was awesome. That was all there was to it..
He felt in strangely high spirits as he watched his friend, he glanced down though after a while, the angle his neck was at was not that comfortable, but he watched the shadow moving on the grass, it was slightly surreal really.
In a sudden rush of high spirits he spun around once with a small laugh, the worry that had shrouded him earlier seemed to have lifted easilly enough, he was still smiling after the tails of his coat had flopped back against the backs of his legs, a slight dizyness making him sway, it was whimsical, but it had prooved fun anyway!

Mitsuji continued to fly above, occassionally looking down at Aspen with a slight smile showing on his lips. He was glad that the squirrel male wasn't able to see him smile. He didn't like others seeing his emotions at all. It made him feel...weak? Was that a word he could use to describe how he felt when he smiled? He knew it had to be since it was like a gaping wound in his chest that was on fire. In a blink of an eye, he swooped down and stopped before the squirrel having his smile long gone already. "Do you want to see what it feels like to fly or would prefer to stay and watch me?" He asked still floating off the ground before the male. His wings flapping lightly and elegantly. Was he treated Aspen like a friend? He didn't know, but he felt a connection with this male in some way.

Aspen blinked for a second, his eyes wide and surprised by the sudden appearance of his friend..
"Are you sure..?" He asked, a smile growing on his lips..
"Because.. I'd love to! I mean.. yes.." He seemed fairly excited and definately pleased by the prospect of flight.. he wasnt timid, that was for sure..
"If you want to fly there, the springs is that way.." he pointed over past the dragons shoulder, and smiled again..
"But you know, you dont have to do this... it would be fun though!" He really couldnt stop smiling.. this could proove to be really fun! Or dangerous... but really fun first!
He brushed his brown and white hair out of his eyes and made a vain attempt at tucking it behind his ear..
"Shall we...?"

Mitsuji eyed him carefully once again to make sure he could handle the males wieght. He didn't seem too heavy? He wouldn't know until he picked him up and flew into the air. He also needed to decide how he would hold the male. The best way was to hug him, but that would involve getting close to him. The thought of that kind of made him not want to do it. "No it's fine....just hold on tight so you don't fall off. Also when we are in the air point into the direction in where that place is you were just talking about." He said with slightly narrowed white eyes.

Landing on the ground, he walked closer to Aspen still with his wings outspread behind him. "It should be fun, but if you don't like it tell me." He then wrapped his arms around the male squirrel, feeling his body slightly twitch from the contact. "Here we go." He mentioned before flapping his wings hard, rising up into the air and then shooting into the sky. He didn't think the male was that heavy, but if he began to feel worn then he would most likely land so he wouldn't risk crashing on the ground.

His arms kept a firm grip around the male as he was pulled against his chest. He didn't want to drop him at all. That would only make him feel worse.

Aspen almost jumped as they lifted off frmo the ground, but it was dispelled a moment later by a delighted laugh. Aspen was suddely delighted that he had been graced with a small frame, and that he was far better suited to running and jumping, activities that required alighter build, than moving things... he was strong enough, but slight to go with it.. and was he ever pleased! He'd never been so nigh before! And cirtainly not without somthign under his feet or legs. He held onto the Dragons arms, he didnt want to cling onto him too much as he was fully away that this was probably not a situation that the other had been fully prepared to deal with.. contact indeed... and close at that... but he seemed to be doing well enough
"This is wonderful!" he stated, his delight fairly clear in his voice..
"And its this way!" He pointed a hand off to their right, there was a hill..
"The spring come out of some rocks on the side of that rise." He stated, turning hs head slightly so he could see the dragon better..
"Its quite pretty over there really." He paused for a moment..
"I hope I'm not too heavy.." He didnt want the dragon to hurt himself any more, especially after the day's happenings so far.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 15, 2007 2:31 pm

Mitsuji seen his hand point off to the right, so he quickly changed his directon and went the way he was told. He could see the hill and it wasn't that far from where he was right now. "Yeah it's alright. I don't really fly that much." He stated still holding the male close to him, making sure Aspen wouldn't fall. His tail was swishing behind him in slight aggitation from the contact, but he had to deal with it. It would of took them much longer to walk to this spot and he was afraid he didn't have to time for that. In reality, he didn't have time for any of this period, but something was keeping him from his duties. Maybe it was the friendship thing and the thought of him not being able to do what he wanted, pissed him off a bit, but he wouldn't show it.

As he neared the hill, he floated down to the ground slowly until his feet pressed against the ground lightly. "Here we are." He said faintly as he folded his wings tightly onto his back and let his arms slide off the male to his side. He then walked away to find the spring.

Aspen took a couple fo steps away from the dragon, and the took of at a light run across the grassy hillside, he wa smoving around it, hopping over the occasional rock and over to the large outcropping that he knew was just over the other side.. he reached it quickly enough and called to the dragon.
he had dropped to hi knee's and was smiling as the water danced over a bed of large rounded stone before dissappearing in a waterfall down beneath a large platform of rock, splashing into what sounded like a large pool below..
When he had been here earlier it had been much lighter and the light had reflected off a number of what coul dhave been precious stones in the walls of the chamber into which the waterfall fell. He told the dragon of this, and looked down again, following the path of the water, you could still see a very faint shine.. it was pretty, though it was more like little pinprocks of starlight under the rock now..
Nature was really beautiful somtimes...
