I play Bass Clarinet and freshman year was unbearable, several people were like " We don't need a Bass Clarinet". I don't really like the flutes all that much cause when marching i've been run into by the flutes so many times. i also don't really like the trumpets cause we have live 25 or more. But i like all the people in our band (ceptt one or two)

I can't stand violins...they're so obnoxious. I like violas, cellos are cool, and double basses are freakin' awesome, but I can't stand violins...

My grandpa that lived up in the mountains said that he had one that he might give me...then he died of brain and broncial tube cancer... crying I loved him. He was the best...

I'd have to say that there are three kinds of trumpet players (trumpeteers?) in the world. The first kind is those who can play well, and choose to do so when they need to. The second is the trumpet players that know they can play well, but don't really feel like playing well when they need to. These ones will also often play terribly when they don't need to be playing at all. The third kind are the kind that can't really play well at all, but at least try, for better or for worse. Fortunately our band is blessed with a majority of the first kind, and the one of the second kind that we had quit band this year, so yay!
I really don't care for bass clarinets that much... It's not that I don't like the instrument, because I don't mind it in itself, it's just that the two bass clarinet players that we have right now are assholes, so I associate the instrument with them...

The percussion annoys my band the most.. Most of them are egotistical, and on top of that, never manage to play at the right tempo! It makes me sad to have to play the same song five times just so the percussion can get it right.

Saxophone section, at least in marching band...during the second half of the year, all the annoying saxophones are in concert band and I'm in Wind Ensemble (you try out to be in Wind Ensemble), so I don't have to deal with them.
They can be funny sometimes, but after awhile it just gets annoying and you just want to yell at them "BE QUIET AND PLAY SO WE CAN STOP GETTING YELLED AT!!!"

Trumpets. .__. There were only about 2 talented trumpet players in the band and the other 8 were sleazy and I doubt they ever practiced, so they hurt my ears with their horrible playing half the time. They also had problems with the dynamics, which bothered me to no end.

Lotsa people seem to hate trumpets. -_- Then again, I play trumpet and sometimes I can't stand it as well..
I hate the percussion section of the band- half the time they seem to have only joined band because they can't take art or drama. =/ And the saxophones too, but only because there are just so many of them they usually drown out the rest of the band..

The only reason I hate oboes is because they sound like a dying cat when you can't play them correctly, and, unfortunately, the guy who plays oboe in our band can not play it correctly. I also hate the second trumpets.... gah.... they sit right behind me, and they're not so bad as to know that they are awful, so they think they're good and play so loud... I think I have permanent damage to my ear drums... At one concert in seventh grade, the trumpets were two full measures behind everyone else for the ENTIRE SONG. It was SO embarassing...
